Which Indie Star would you like to see get signed next?

Magic Mark

Former WCW TV Champion
As most of you know, Sami Callihan and Samury Del Sol are currently in the process of signing WWE contracts. Sami became famous during his tenure with Jon Moxley as "The Switchblade Conspiracy" in CZW, while Del Sol gained a following in AAA. Both of these men are very capable in the ring, and I can't wait to see what they can do in The E

But this leads me to one question... who do you want to see get signed by WWE next?

This may seem like a long-shot to some, but I would have to say Chuck Taylor. He has Charisma, he has a recognizable look, and he is great in the ring. Plus, he's only 27, so he still has 10-15 years in him. I said that it's a long shot because he just doesn't seem like a pure "WWE Talent" so to speak. I don't know, but he is a stable in CHIKARA and DG-USA, but I just don't know if he can change to the slower pace that the WWE uses.

Anyways, which Independent wrestler do you want to see get signed?

The one I'd like to see signed up is Adam Cole. He's young, can go in the ring and will only get better. Give him a couple of years on NXT and he's a future star of the business.

Kevin Steen - big guy with amazing moves. He'll be a great face - big guy with amazing moves. Especially now that he's shed some lbs... He won't ever be champ, but he could provide quality entertainment in a generic landscape...

As much as I would love to see Kevin Steen in the WWE, I doubt he will have much success due to his size and style in the ring.

Adam Cole on the other hand screams future WWE champion! The man is only 23 years old and already one of the top indie wrestlers. He has the look and that it factor that says star.

I would love to see OVW wrestler Dylan Bostic come up to NXT. He has tried out @ FCW previously, and has also wrestled Ryback last July on Smackdown under the name Brendan Burke and also played as a white coat doctor on Raw episode 1001 when AJ had Daniel Bryan taken away. He is known and great in the ring and is only 21 years of age. Great wrestler that should be added to WWE's Developmental!

Adam Cole turned down WWE to sign a new deal with ROH. Kid has his head on straight, he actually loves wrestling. He's on the indies for another two years which is for the best, he's only 23-years-old and has plenty of time to grow.

My pick although not going to happen for another while because he only signed a two year deal last year is Johnny Gargano. As much as Gabe Sapolsky annoys the fuck out of me he uses Johnny brilliantly, after Steve Corino and Matt Hardy outside WWE and TNA hes probably the top heel going in North America. He beat Samuray del Sol two weeks ago by locking him in the Garga-no-Escape and removing his mask, then after celebrated with del Sol's mask on.

He can go, has a great look, can speak, seems to have a smart head for business and could be the next big thing in wrestling. He's getting there though so he should sign next year when his contract is up.

I don't think it'll ever happen because of how he works or how he looks, but I would love to see Kevin Steen in the WWE. His mic and ring work are superb. He just doesn't fit the WWE prototype. He's not the best looking. He's got a big belly. And he's probably the furthest person from being pg, but he's so damn good. And he's something that the majority of superstars aren't and that's relatable.

There is a few likes of johnny gorgano adam cole and possibly kevin steen but really none of them should sign yet as wwe roster and developmental roster is too big as it is how can nxt be just one show with all those wrestlers on the roster its too big

nobody wants to see Mike "the prodigy" Bennett in nXt then the WWE?
But im also on the Adam Cole bandwagon. I loved his matches against Kyle O'Riley, who is another young guy I wouldn't mind seeing getting a shot.

One problem with Kevin Steen: he would have to change almost his entire moveset. So many of his moves would not be allowed in WWE. Don't know how much this would affect his work.

Ricochet deserves a shot in the big leagues but I suppose his move-set would be so pared down it would render him pretty obsolete.

From ROH I would have to say Kyle ORiley.

From OVW, I know they are joke characters but I really like Eddie Diamond and Timmy Danger. Eddie could use a little more in ring repertoire before I would say sign him now.

I do, only with Maria... He's good but them together as a package is made for WWE.. He can work and he had the WWE look. I haven't seen much of his talking but I did see a shoot interview him and Maria and he was interesting to listen too.

I know he's techinally signed to TNA, but he's been in OVW for a year and other than this one appearance last week I do not see him coming back to impact soon. I'd love to see what Vince and Hunter would do with Crimson...

Adam Cole has a lot of potential. Kevin Steen, although he doesn't fit WWE's image of a 'superstar'. I like Tommaso Ciampa.

And of course, The Briscoes. Arguably the most complete tag team in the world at the minute. They can do it all; serious/comedy. Can hit highspots but still hang with the technical mat-work of teams like American Wolves. They're entertaining.

Obviously they had their 'cosmetically pleasing' incident with WWE before, but if they could put that behind them.... The only concern would be whether management could trust them

Adam Cole should be excellent when (not if) he arrives in WWE. He's got a good look, is good on the mic and keeps getting better, and is good in the ring with a moveset that will need little to no tweaking for WWE.

I would love to see Michael Elgin make it as well. My initial thought was that he's too short, but now that Big E. Langston is making an impact at the same height as Elgin, I can't see why Michael can't make it. His strength is incredible and can hold his own on the mic. Sign him up and let him keep tossing around all the smaller indy guys WWE is signing.

I'm a huge fan of Ricochet and would love to see him get signed but only if WWE doesn't water down his moveset.

The number for me though would have to be Prince/Fergal Devitt. A good all rounder and some of his matches from Japan have been absolutely epic. The only thing that may count against him is his promo work.

A guy that I like is Shaun Ricker. He's not the best in the ring, but I love him on the mic and he has a good look. I'm surprised he didn't get a shot to be on GutCheck on TNA and I think I've read that he had a developmental tryout for WWE. He seems to fit the type of guy that WWE has pushed in the past.

And, I think a perfect person to pair with him in a tag team would be Mike Bennett. Also decent on the mic, works a wwe style, and despite not being typical ROH style wrestler, has gotten "over" in ROH.

I am also a huge Adam Cole fan. I like his ROH work, but I really love the heel promos I've watched on youtube. I think he's got the it factor. I just hope his size doesn't limit him. But, WWE is pushing guys that are smaller now, so maybe it won't be a limitation.

Adam Cole is the Obvious choice, Everything about him screams WWE and at the age of 23 has at least another 15 years in the industry. Another guy I would like to see in NXT is Mike Mondo. The guy has been in WWE before and did not have much success, But anybody trying to make a Male Cheerleader character work is going to have problems, since he has been on the indy scene Mondo has come on leaps and bounds and if given another chance in WWE portraying the character he does in ROH, I have no doute that Mondo could be great.

Others I think should be signed to NXT are.

American Wolves
Kyle O'Riley
Michael Elgin
Jay Lethal

Mike Bennett. He has the look, the body, he cuts pretty decent promos, and I think he can adapt to the wwe style because he used in ROH to get heat lol. Plus he is dating Maria Kanelis so they might bring her back if they sign him. I'm very surprised he never won a title in ROH(the tv title would have been perfect). I used to dislike Mike because he is a pretty boy from Boston, but he has earned my respect. Hopefully he gets to sign with wwe soon, he'd fit in perfectly.
