I might just go extreme on you!!!!
There are multiple variations of the sport of hockey and i thought i'd poll to see which was favoured the most.

Ice Hockey- A great and fast paced game, with physical contact and high skill levels required

Inline/Roller Hockey- Identical to Ice Hockey but utilises a ball instead of a puck, which has an effect on the skills

Field Hockey- a completely different yet just as entertaining sport played on astro turf with eleven player and right handed sticks only and you can only use the face side of the head.

So i ask which is your prefered form of hockey?

Ice Hockey.

I use to play both ice and roller. It is alot easier to play roller than ice for starters. If you compare the three hockey is the one where the ball/puck can cause the most harm. Rollar you can play with or without check depending on the league. Basically no checking in field. As for fighting once again none in field and roller depends on the league.

I was always more exhausted after playing ice so i got to go with ice.

Plus how many face field hockey or roller players can you name??

In general, Ice Hockey is better, playing with the puck means there is less bouncing and it is controlled, and gives the goalie a slight advantage for the most part.

But to play, I find Ball Hockey, without inline skates the best. The game is a little slower and you have to use a lot more energy, but I find nothing as fun. To get a game going (I run a ball hockey league) is a lot of work in itself, but to get an Ice Hockey game going is a lot more. You need skates and a lot more padding, as well as a rink. Ball Hockey is more get up and go.

Well i don't know any inline players. Field hockey players, Brett Livermore, Hayden Shaw, Ryan Archibald, Taeke Taekema, Teun de Noojer, Jamie Dywer, Christopher Zeller, Matthias Rey. Just off the top of my head. So thats Aus, NZ, NZ, Dutch, Dutch, Aus, Ger, Arg. And thats just the more recognised names
