When is the last time you've been this intrigued, excited and perplexed with the WWE?

I hate to admit it, but the WWE is semi-predictable now days--especially with the Internet having leaked or speculated information. I still enjoyed watching it, but after reading the forums before a PPV or Raw, you had a pretty good idea of what might happen. But what now?

Almost everyone has admitted they felt like a kid again when The Rock cut his promo last nite (myself included). I honestly couldn't sleep. I stayed up for hours reading the forums. He definitely had the crowd eating out of his hand for sure. I certainly haven't been this excited over wrestling since the return of Sting (as the Crow) back in the late WCW days.

Now to all the different angles the WWE has to play with. These of course are hypothetical and maybe even a bit of a stretch, but still plausible in my opinion.

Sheamus and HHH

What's going to happen here? Will these two finish what they started? I for one hope so. First off, it was an amazing feud. Secondly, Sheamus needs it. He's not looked strong at all lately (aside from the Henry incident). If HHH does indeed fight Taker, where does this leave Sheamus at Mania?

Cena and The Rock

After the promo last nite, we can all agree something (whether it's big or small) is going to happen between these two. Maybe it's something as simple as an amazing promo between the two... or as we're all hoping, a match at Mania? I know it may be unlikely, but this would definitely be the reason to see the PPV.

Barrett (Corre) and Taker

Has this buildup been for nothing? Are they just going to drop it? Surely the Undertaker isn't going to let Barrett off the hook so easy.

Taker and HHH

I know everyone's seen that HHH is supposed to be Taker's opponent at Mania--however, nothing is set in stone. Will he make his return to avenge his best friend Michaels? Will it be a streak vs career match?

Taker and Sting

The last video from last night show's two people. I can only hope it's the Stinger. Even though there are no rumored talks between the WWE and Sting, who's not to say it's a cover up? I mean come on, would you want a match this enormous to be leaked?

Miz and Morrison

These guys go way back. I don't particularly want to see this, but it's definitely a story that has a background. They could definitely put on a great show imo. Guess we'll see what happens at EC.

Miz and Cena

This is probably the most likely out of all the matches. The feud has been building for weeks. I think this will be a great match if/when it happens. Would be even huger for the Miz to get a clean win too.

Cena heel turn

We all heard/saw the reaction Cena got when The Rock started mocking him. Has The Rock started a Cena heel turn inadvertently. It kind of reminds me back in the day when the crowd was behind a heel Austin and forced a heel turn by Brett. I think we can see a Cena heel turn no later than Mania.

Chris Jericho return

Could this happen? Seems like there would be an inevitable feud with Orton when he does return. Would he be back as Y2J?

Female getting out of limo

Like another poster stated in another thread, is this just something to throw us off? Are they going to build on it? Is it Stephanie? Is she the anonymous Raw GM?

I"m sure I've missed a couple of scenarios, but my point is, has there ever been a time in recent years where there have been so many different angles to pursue, all of which would be amazing? And who's to say the WWE isn't leaking false information to make us believe one thing over another? I'm not sure what the deal was with Bob Barker (maybe he was a backup plan in case they couldn't get the Rock?) But what if that was false leaked information to throw us off? The thing I'm most intrigued about is the 2-21 guy. Everyone knows the Taker is coming back. The listing for the card for that show lists Taker as returning. This just seems a little too obvious to me. Who knows... we'll see as the story unfolds over the next several weeks.

Out of all those topics you mentioned, the only 3 possibilities I'm intrigued by are Rock/Cena , Heel?Cena and Sting/Taker.

-A Y2J return isn't special when he was just on Raw not too long ago
-Miz still isn't a credible champion so anything involving him I honestly don't care
-HHH/Sheamus=who cares when we know what the outcome will be?

Granted all the matches I listed aren't as intriguing as others, the point is, we don't know where the WWE is going with any of it. They really have us on the edge of our seats with the Mania ticket at this point. Maybe some wishful thinking, but unpredictable nonetheless.

I think Cena joining the Nexus was a big surprised for me. But I've only been following Smackdown and Raw only during the latter part of the last decade. Anywho, I think we were kinda expecting for him to win and break up the Nexus, disappointingly. Some people say it's when Raw started getting interesting again.

You're dreaming if you think Miz would ever pick up a clean win over Cena, especially at Mania.

If that feud does end up happening, Cena will win the strap, without doubt, after he also destroys A-Ry.

I would much rather see Rock vs Cena and JoMo vs Miz for the title. JoMo and Miz can put on a show as shown during their work as a team, and in previous matches together, and Vince won't have to worry about this match being a draw with Rock vs Cena on the card.

Punk vs Orton imo is on the cards for Mania, so i don't see Y2J returning anytime soon.

I'm more interested in the SD! potential feuds leading into Mania.

You have Del Rio main eventing, thats bound to be amazing, you have (by the looks of it) Rhodes vs Mysterio, imagine what a win for Rhodes at mania would do for his career.

We still have no idea what they are going to do with Taker, Sting, HHH, Barrett, it could be anyone. If it's Barrett then a Nexus vs Corre would be pretty meh, apart from Big Zeke facing Mason Ryan.

I love the amount of unpredictability about the WWE at the moment, i really do.

The cool thing is, they have so many different avenues they can take. Can you imagine if they do pull off Cena vs Rock and/or Taker vs Sting.. it won't even matter what the rest of the card looks like. Either one of those matches would sell the entire PPV.

I thought there was no way in hell that sting would go to the wwe. something would be reported, but vince just proved that when he wants to keep something a secret, he can. the only problem is why would sting face taker? I know its what all the older guys want to see, but why would they want to face each other? but yes, im very excited with the wwe right now. the rock made my week, and wrestlemania.

i agree wit brama on this 1 dont count sting out just yet, every 1 seems certain that if sting were to come to wwe he would fight the undertaker, but has ne1 thought that since sting and under taker have similar gimmicks, that maybe sting is the 1 who dug up the undertaker and mayb they will b teaming up to fight nexus or the corre?, and also, y would sting after all thses years come to wwe to job to ut? cuz i personally think the hhh vs ut is a swerve like bob barker hosting wm, jus doesnt make sense he would return a month b4 wrestlemania only to lose and retire?, hhh bein the wrestlin svengoli that he is knows to jus drop the story between him and sheamus jus doesnt make sense, and especially streak vs career was already done last year, so i def think sting will b at raw on 2 21 11, and teams with ut, hhh vs sheamus, miz vs cena, punk vs orton, and sting and ut vs either nexus or corre pending on how they wanna jsutify takers return

First official post on this site so how's it going guys? This is the first time since last summer that I have had a high level of intrigue with the 'E. Last summer was the Nexus angle which I found to be very well done, at least up until the Cena "firing" angle took place which they went a completely wrong direction with. The weeks leading up to Wrestlemania are usually well done, but this year's PPV has the POTENTIAL to exceed expectations and in my opinion one of three matches must to happen for this to occur.

1. Cena versus the Rock-Biggest star of the PG era versus the People's champion and a future hall of famer of the Rock. I would definitely prefer this to the Miz versus Cena, which just seems like it would end up an average match. I realize this is a long shot to happen but you never know.

2. Taker versus Sting-The streak versus the icon of WCW, this match could be beyond epic if it somehow happened, but again this is a long shot. Everyone wants to see the streak be threatened by a "believable" force (even if we know deep down that Taker will never lose at Wrestlemania) and Wade Barret is definitely not a good option for an opponent for Taker.

3. Taker versus Triple H-Kayfabe terms The Game has bone to pick with Sheamus but this match has been rumored to be an option heading into Wrestlemania. With the chance of HBK getting involved and this possibly turning into a Streak vs. Career match, this really excites me. Plus I'm somewhat of a Triple H mark so I would love to see him go out at the Grandest Stage of them all, as he is more than likely retiring soon.

For me its been a loooooooooooooong time.Im talkin like maybe 12 years since i have bben this intriuged.from 95-98 monday was religous for me to watch RaW.It was must see TV.ThESE days i can easily watch raw like everyother week and be fine with it.In 98 my life revolved around wrestling as i refused to work on monday nights.
WWE has alot of things on there plate with getting the young roster a push to be true superstars.I believe using the biggest stars of the attitude era in roles like hosting, guess ref, or doing tough enough. its great and keepin my eyes glued on mondays to wrestling

You know what the most annoying thing is,Taker can only face 1 man at Mania ha. I wouldnt mind seeing wade v taker although at this stage is an anticlimax,i would really like seeing hhh v taker and i would love seeing sting v taker.
Anyway back to your point, excellent thread i was going to make something very similar expressing how over the last 7 years i have watched wwe on and off due to a lack of interest.
sometimes i would comeback watching it when i felt there was a good chance cena was to turn heel and i feel at this point even though the rock made only 1 promo that wwe has peaked since the rock left 7 years ago.
i mean, not only is the rock most likely going to be a part of the wrestlemania me in some shape or form, but also this marketing by wwe of 2 21 11 is genius it has to be said.
Furthermore you have a chance of something fresh for cena , a match-up of cena v miz which is 2 stars being marketed as the faces of wwe plus add in the fact a relative newcomer winning the royal rumble.
its just surprise after surprise these days and il admit, after not watching the wwe properly(apart from some ppvs) in months,im actually looking forward to every show, plus as you can see i set up an account for the first time on this forum ha.
