When Do The "Die Kofi Die" Chants Start?

Kofi doesn't he remind you sort of like a young version of Booker T somewhat, I know there are similarities between the 2 of them, and I think that Kofi he does have what it takes to be a heel, Booker T was a heel, and I can definitely see Kofi turning heel sometime down the road

Those chants start when he comes out bouncing around like a little kid who had too much mountain dew with that big shite eatin grin on his face. It's simple and i've said it 100 times, Kofi's best moments were during his feud with Orton where we got to see a mean pissed off Kofi. As soon as he goes back to this(if he does) and is put in a good feud then he will lose those chants and get some damn cheers, I was a serious fan of heel Kofi and when the feud ended and he just went back to goofy face Kofi I was very disappointed. Bring back the pissed off Jamaican!

Kofi gets a lot of cheers from what I hear. He's exciting in the ring and as we saw in his feud with Orton, can work the mic when given the chance. Also, Kofi never turned heel and had already dropped his Jamaican gimmick by the time he started feuding with Orton.

That said, there is no need for Kofi to turn heel. There's already a huge influx of heels that he'll only get lost in the shuffle. I would however like to see that edge he brought to the table when he was feuding with Orton. That was the only time people really bought into him transitioning into the main event. If he can add that long lost edge to his character and separate from Evan Bourne (although I'm more than content with them staying together for now), I can probably take him seriously again as a world title contender. Seriously, you don't need to turn everyone heel. It's not always the solution.

But it would make Kofi's character more edgier

Like I already said, heel turn is not always the solution. I've always seen that as the cheap, easy way out when a face can't get over is is too "bland" for peoples' tastes. A heel turn is not necessary for Kofi to be edgier. Remember his feud with Orton a couple years ago? Great example of Kofi adding an edge to his character without turning heel. Kofi does not need a heel turn, he needs a meaningful feud. I don't think he'll really get one as long as he's in the tag team division but once he and Bourne split, it might happen.
