What's with the Ziggler hate

Dumiga

Dark Match Jobber
Why does everyone seem to hate Ziggler now. To me he should be top mid card. Solid in the ring, has charisma, not terrible on the mic.

The IWC craps all over Ziggler because he's not an NXT graduate, got crazy over without being one of their chosen ones, and is a 14-year veteran in WWE. Casuals crap all over Ziggler because Vince continually buries him due to Vince's hatred of Ziggler constantly being more over than his chosen golden boys. Dolph Ziggler should have been THE top star in wrestling, but Vince repeatedly sabotaged him to punish Ziggler for getting so over.

Must be weird to live in Aquaman's head. It's not even worth discussing DZ with him, because as his post clearly reveals, he's just a little delusional when it comes to the topic.

Dolph Ziggler was only ever very over with the portion of the IWC who thought he was a good wrestler because he flopped around like a fish. He was saddled with an awful name. Despite your opinion, he's not very charismatic. He was never great on the mic. He has gotten better at that, but as soon as he raises his voice he sounds like a pubescent adolescent.

His biggest pop ever was when he cashed in MITB. The problem with people like Aquaman is they can't see that for what it was. Not him being over, because he rarely has been. It's them reacting to a surprising moment. Hell, Jack Swagger got a pop when he cashed in on Jericho. Who gave a shit about Jack Swagger?

It's not like WWE didn't try. They tried everything they could to get him heat. Even paired him with one of the biggest heat magnets I've seen, Vickie Guerrero. Still couldn't get over.

Anyone remember when they changed his hair color to brown? One of the funniest things I've ever seen. He's so plain, no one recognized him. Most silent I think I've ever seen a crowd. It lasted all of 3 weeks before they made him blonde again. But yeah, he's being held back...:lmao:

The only real time I can think they could've gotten somewhere with him, but the booking was stupid, was when he won that Survivor Series match a few years back. People were behind him. They just didn't go anywhere with it.

Ziggler has been garbage for years now. He's not compelling to watch in the slightest. I think Dolph is way overdue for a complete overall. Nick is supposed to be a great amateur wrestler and I'd love to see that side of him more than the character flopping around like a fish all the time.

Well, the Ziggler hate stems from the problem with smart wrestling fans. Some of them turn on a wrestler who it seems WWE has given up on. They don't like getting their hopes up on a wrestler that gets booked like that. That is what happened to Dolph. Right now, Dolph is in a good spot in my opinion. He's been in WWE title matches this year. Him losing to Kevin Owen's in seconds at Extreme Rules is now a comedic moment etched in the PPV's history. And he just main evented Smackdown. People who turned on him say he was only over when he CaShEd In ThE mOnEy In ThE BaNk BrIeFcAsE, and SuRvIvOr SeRiEs 2014 wHeN hE pUt ThE Authority out of power with the help of Sting but they are soo, laughably wrong. After he cashed in, heck, after he LOST the title to Del Rio, he was so over, kicking Del Rios ass in segments, dumping AJ Lee to the curb to a BIG POP, he was over through that whole mixed tag team feud with Kaitlyn, Big E and AJ Lee. He was also obviously over the years after that, getting big pops, yeah, no exaggeration, big pops everytime he came out. So to answer your question of why the Ziggler hate? It's because those group of fans who can't deal with that back and forth booking, got tired of believing that Ziggler wouldn't get screwed over anymore. Now everytime he loses, they say he should leave, get off their TV screens, take a break EVEN THOUGH HE TOOK A LONG ENOUGH BREAK RECENTLY.

Anyone that can deal with the back and forth booking is an idiot and clearly a sheep to the product that has been lacking for years.

I don't hate Dolph Ziggler per se, but I can't say I like him all that much either.

The time to pull the trigger on "Dolph" was when he did the gimmick where he'd come out to different theme music, walk out onto the ramp, walk back, rinse/repeat. Him forfeiting the US title in the ring and "going home" should've led to the genesis of a brand new character for Nic Nemeth. The Ziggler name (which was terrible from the jump) should've been dropped, demeanor changed, moveset altered, the whole works.

Today, we have this heel hybrid of the Dolph we've always had. A guy who is a little bit HBK, a little bit Chris Jericho, but nowhere near as charismatic as either of them and arguably less athletic/skilled. In fact, much of his schtick (to me anyway) seems focused on taking the best attributes of those two talents and turning the volume up so high that he has essentially become a parody of sorts.

Dolph Ziggler / WWE still has a bit of time left to realign the ship and get him to where he could/should be in the company. I feel that window of opportunity is closing pretty quickly though and the proverbial "now or never" point is on the horizon.

It's called selling a move , and I bet you love Hbk a d Bad A Billy Gun?? Pretty well the same wrestler , a typical IWC nerd , I bet u hate Roman and Rollins too

I don't think fans have much of an opinion of Ziggler anymore. Five years ago maybe but now he seems mostly forgotten. In fact, I would argue that there are really only three guys that get much real hate (as opposed to kayfabe hate) in Lesnar, Shane, and Corbin.

So Ziggler is more of an apathy guy than one that brings out much emotion in people. Not a great place to be but no one should be surprised since the guy has been around a long time and hasn't accomplished much for a while with all the losses and absences.

That's not selling. That's called flopping around like a fish out of water and looking like a complete doofus in the process. His "selling" is so overblown and exaggerated that it just looks stupid. Someone like the Rock or HBK could get away with that shit because they knew how to tone down the theatrics when needed. Dolph can't. All of his matches are exactly the same.

In my opinion, Ziggler isn’t really hated. He’s just not treated seriously by the fans anymore. The problem with him is his character is mid card and that’s all the fans see him as now because of bad booking.

My only issue with him today is he needed a gimmick change like 2 years ago. When he feuded with Roode, fans were hoping for his music to change and for his character to get more edgy. It didn’t though. A change of music could fix part of his problem since one reviewer I read always says “Ziggler’s crappy music hits.” It won’t fix all the issues, but it’s a step. He is in a good spot now and I don’t hate him. He has really good in ring ability and even though his mic work isn’t perfect, I can live with it. I doubt he’ll be world champion again
