What's with the Rock sequels?

K, first they made a sequel to Walking Tall and now there releasing a prequel to The Scorpian King. What's with Hollywood making sequels/prequels to The Rock movies, which don't even have The Rock in the movie at all? Is Hollywood really thinking people will watch those movies because they once starred The Rock or were they really successful. What's nextThe Rundown 2: The Rockdown, Doom 2, lol, could u imagine Doom 2.

Because it's better to make a direct to video sequel than it is to make a direct to video original. Even if it's shit it'll have name recognition. It'll make far more money that it should. It's the same as Seagal & Van Damme still cashing in on their name value, and film like I Am Omega.
