whats so great about M.V.P?

MVP isnt my favorite wrestler but I find him fresh in the main event picture which I feel is needed. Maybe he will take a few years to develop his character and find his MVP niche. The fact that he's hanging out/dating whatever a celebrity (im sorry I dont know the situation there) does give him added publicity which WWE is ALWAYS high on. I find him somewhat charismatic, decent in the ring and has a very good look. The wrestling attire brings him down a notch but the most important thing is he's given a chance not rehashing old wrestlers.

I have to agree with waylon. I think he's OK, not great, but any viable new blood in the ME picture is exactly what WWE needs, especially RAW. Hopefully a main-event feud will sculpt him enough to bring out his A-Game, because he IS being pushed into the ME while he could still use some improvement. If he doesn't smooth out his face character soon, though, he'll flop.

Good mic skills, great in-ring ability, though I still can't get over his Power Rangers outfits. My only beef with him is that WWE keeps pushing him to the moon when he gets absolutely no pop from the crowd, its almost like I can hear crickets when his music hits. His "ballin'" thing is quite tiresome, resembles nothing close to a basketball jump shot (at least Mr. Perfect looked like he was playing golf). Ever since he dropped the US title to Kofi Kingston his segments have meant a bathroom break for me.

I've heard of his gang tattoos too, but I don't know if that's the reason. Remember after Kane lit him on fire, he wrestled with the top half of his outfit rolled down. I assume the tattos are on his legs or something, where his boots/knee pads or trunks cover them.

no mvp has malcom x tattoo on his chest & he is muslim. he has not tattoos on his legs . the tattoos are on his arm & chest... i met mvp 2 days before he won the u.s ttile from benoit at judgment day 2007 in st louis . he was nice & easily to get along with . mvp & me talked about his time in f.i.p.,roh, tna, & dsw. i even told him he was going to beat benoit at the ppv . i was so happy to be on camera at the ppv when he won it. mvp is great wrestler for this era compared to most new kids except swagger.

I think he played his heel role well. That's about all I can give him. He had the entire crowd hating him. Kudos. Won't take that away from him, he did his job.

The question should be "How many people are really proclaiming MVP's greatness"?. The IWC? He hasn't been wrestling many PPVs, his main-event face push has been sidetracked, the crowd is less into MVP every time out.

Who is really singing his praises? He did a good job getting people to hate him, but not as well of a job in keeping the crowd loving him.

I'm not a big fan of his promos, even is heel work, but I can concede it got the job done. His face promos? Utterly pathetic. Everyone knows that wrestling fans don't have the highest collective IQs, but don't cater your promo work back to PBS kids. He's been genuinely corny, severely overacting, and just isn't cutting it as a face.

I can also get on board with the work he puts into his job. He takes his job seriously, I can respect that.

I liked him better as a heel, but there is just something about the guy. He has that it you cant put your finger on. He will get there, something will happen and he will get there.

I remember when everyone hated Rocky Miavia, ha look what happened a year later when he changed some things. No, I am not saying MVP is the next Rock, just an example of someone people thought was lame at the time.

I think people just want to see a black guy succeed.

That's the only logical explanation I have for it, because MVP completely blows as a face. I think he needs his inflatable entrance thing back. And to ditch the Power Ranger costume. And to get a finisher that didn't already suck 10 years ago when Elix Skipper did it.

Well Ive read about a year or so ago that they were gonna push him to be the next "The Rock" but I have yet to see that and I dont think that it will happen. I think that he is a good mid-card wrestler and nothing more if that. He doesnt have GREAT mic skills to me and his wrestling skills are "ok." Maybe if he comes up with a new style and moveset maybe I can get into it but for now Im just gonna say that THATs my opinion and im sticking to it until otherwise.
