Whats next for Matt Hardy?

Okay, as most of us know Matt Hardy is gone from TNA. Not like it really matters, he didn't do much there anyway. But what is next for him? I know some of you will say something like crawl into a hole and die or something like that. But let's be real here. When Matt was younger, in his mid or late teens he co-founded a very indi wrestling promotion and busted his ass to get seen. He has the knowledge and ability to do allot of things behind the scenes. I doubt he will go back to WWE, as there is NOTHING for him there.

Once these issues he is having are done, what do you think he should do? Try again, and shoot for the stars? Should he start a new promotion? Or should he do behind the scenes stuff somewhere?

Maybe he can work with Jim Cornette and ROH. I'm sure he'll be around, but he's one of those guys big in the '00s that really did nothing for me.

There probably isn't really a logical "next" for Matt Hardy. The first, and most important, thing he must do is get his personal life in order. I don't know if that means rehab, therapy, or an extended break from the business. The fact is no one could feel secure in hiring this man right now. What type of return could they reasonably expect off of their investment?

Assuming Hardy takes care of his personal matters, he is likely going to have to toil on the independent circuit in effort to prove his passion and dedication to the business again. WWE and TNA have both washed their hands of him, and he did himself no favors by burning bridges in both places. I'm not sure he has the name recognition, at least in a positive light, to entice Ring of Honor to gamble on him. Perhaps a foreign country would be an option. Hardy is a wrestler who has already passed through his prime years, so his upside is limited. Add that with his demons and you aren't going to be a very desired free agent. When you have fallen as far as he has, you have to start from the bottom and work your way back up.

I would like to see Matt Hardy come to ROH, but first things are first and that is to get his personal life back in order. I feel very sorry for this guy, as life went downhill for him. However, he needs to get the help that he needs and I really hope his close friends and acquaintances can give him the moral support. With their support, he can get into good spirits.

Most definitely get his shit together. It seems a year ago everyone was worried about Jeff making it past 40. Now it seems the shoe is on the other foot. While Jeff has kept his mouth shut in recent weeks, Matt has done what he's wanted to do his entire wrestling career; steal Jeff's spotlight. Matt is one big fuck up. He oviously needs to get some type of help before he moves on with his life. If he returned to the WWE, I wouldn't personally mind it. He would be a somewhat established under/midcarder that could help some younger guy get a win under his belt. I don't understand why ROH would want anything to do with him. He's gone from the best, to the second best, why would ROH fall for it? Pretty soon, his name will be of no value and no one will care about him whether his shit is together then or not. If he's still fucking up a year or two down the road, then he can fall in a deep hole.

In order- a couple months of YouTube videos and appearances at small indy shows, a possible appearance at an ROH show where he's going to get the shit heckled out of him, a project outside of wrestling, like a weekly video series around a theme, in order to rehabilitate his name, a one-night special appearance in the WWE in some kind of gimmick battle royal or some Cyber Sunday type thing (or a brief couple of appearances in TNA/IW where he gets a "remember me?" pop), followed by a gradual progression of him into our "remember when" files.

What's next for Matt Hardy? The fact that not even TNA want him anymore should tell you a thing or two. I think that he will end up trying to get into ROH, but chances are they won't want him either. He could always work with some indy federations. I doubt anything relevant will happen with him again because neither WWE nor TNA want anything to do with him anymore. He blew it and was never even half as good as he thought he was. That ECW title reign back in 2008 was the highest point his (singles) career will probably ever reach.
