Not to sound like a complete dick but this is just ridiculous. Do kids nowadays think before they do something? I feel bad and all but what his motive? a 20 dollar fitted?

Ga. — A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia, authorities said.

Six Flags officials are uncertain why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, S.C. scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.

Authorities were investigating reports from witnesses who said the teenager jumped the fences to retrieve a hat he lost while riding the Batman roller coaster, said Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce. Three security guards were keeping visitors away from the ride on Saturday.

Police said the ride was going full-speed when the teen was struck. The ride's top speed is 50 mph, according to the Six Flags Web site.

No one riding on the roller coaster was injured, Sheth said. The teen's friend also entered the restricted area but was not injured, Pierce said.

The teen and his parents were at the park with a group from the Oakey Spring Baptist Church near Springfield, S.C., police said.

In June 2007, a teenager's legs were severed when cables snapped on the Superman Tower of Power ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Ky. Doctors were able to reattach Kaitlyn Lasitter's right foot, but she had to have some of her left leg amputated and subsequent surgeries.

State officials blame a faulty cable and slow response by an amusement park ride operator in the accident. Her family is suing Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, claiming the park failed to maintain the ride and equipment and ensure riders' safety. The amusement park has denied liability in court filings.

I honestly agree. thats no regards to their own life.

you only get one, and you end up doing something like that.

I mean, for God's sake, if you have to climb two - two! - six foot fences and there's a shitload of restricted signs, then just buy another hat dumbass.

Why the fuck would you where a hat on a roller coaster in the first place, common sense tells you that odds are your gonna lose it, and thanks to this dumbfucks inabilty to pay attention to the signs saying "KEEP THE FUCK OUT" and shit, not only did he lose his hat on the Batman rollercoaster, but his head too:disappointed:

That being said, Six Flags really doesn't seem like the type of park I want to visit now, I mean one kid gets his head cut off, and another gets her lags cut off, fucking Christ, that's one fucked up park

There's a fucking Roller Coaster in Des Moines, IA at Adventureland called "The Outlaw". Its an older wooden coaster, and it goes through this tunnel like ordeal in which everyone's raising their arms.

At one point, in the beginning, if you stick your arms straight up and you're tall enough, you'll get them taken clear off. I've been on this coaster, and when I went under this point, I fucked ducked my head thinking it was about to hit.

What a ******. How much could that hat have cost? $15, I don't think that's worth losing your head over.
