What if Edge beats Cena at Backlash, and then CM Punk cashes in and wins the title from Edge on the same night.
(CM Punk would be screwing Edge over AGAIN) thus ending the Edge/Cena crap that we all saw a million times in 2007, and making Edge go after CM Punk on SmackDown while Cena stays on RAW and goes after the title there.
This is all assuming that neither Cena or Edge get traded from their current brands.

Cena winning the title at Mania brought the total to 8. 8 being the number of times the WHC has changed hands since it was Vacated last April.
Think about this...8 times in one year. This is close to one title change a PPV. This is not only insane but unacceptable. The WWE has no idea what it's doing anymore. The WWE Title isn't much better where it changed hands 4 times from Survivor Series to No Way Out.
So 13 title changed since April of last year...what was one more? Why not have Cena win it again and chock another one-monther onto Edge's world title reigns.
At the pace they're changing titles, there will be 10 guys coming close to Flair's record soon enough. Id like to see him drop it to someone who ISNT Edge (and Im one of Edge's biggest fans) and have them get a good 6 or 7 month reign out of it to make it matter again.

I see cena retaining at backlash, punk cashing in right after that match taking down cena and then cena bringing the fight to punk, thus jumping to SD in the process.
knowing edge, a triple threat would happen but what i would like to see is punk v cena have a feud for the title. and if punk is to ever be known as a genuine maineventer, then he needs to go over cena in a match or two.

Here is something to think about. edge is on smackdown and vicky is on raw as gm, who can't predict that edge comes to raw beats cena for the title and takes it back to smackdown?, You can almost guarentee something like this could happen. Vicky can make switches for edge quick. I think the person who deserves the title more then anyone would be CHRISTAIN or Big Show but it's wwe and anything can happen

From my understanding, Cena got the belt because WWE prefer to give the fans the happiest possible outcome at WM ie the top face wins the title in the ME. Hence why if a heel is going to retain they usually have that match half way through the night and if it's a face winning then they have them in the ME ie WM 24 Orton/HHH/Cena was 3rd from last because Orton won, and Taker/Edge was last because Taker won. This year, for some bizarre reason, they opted to have the World title matches in succession at the end of the show instead of separating them with Taker/HBK like they should have, and both the faces won.
I didn't honestly think Cena was going to win at WM because i'd heard all the rumours about him needing time off because he's getting married etc etc so now i'm moving towards the idea that he'll either lose at Backlash or shortly afterward. I'm not saying Edge is going to beat him, i'm following the theory that they'll repeat what happened last year and have Punk come along and reclaim a World title for his brand from a bloody, weary champion, whoever that may be.
I'm waiting to see the supplemental draft and how SD looks after today. They've literally got Edge, Jericho, Taker, Rey and Jeff Hardy as their top talent on that brand now. WTF? That's terrible overall. So i'm guessing they'll have Punk win the belt and fill up the 'ME' tier on SD, and this Kane fued we all read about being advertised will probably happen now that they're both on SD (either that or another Taker/Kane fued -yeesh!). But seriously, SD needs an injection from ECW. I read that Morrison is now on SD, hopefully Christian came up as well. I for one was super annoyed monday night when he didn't get drafted (glad he won the draft pick match for ECW though)

More than likely Punk will cash in MITB and bring the belt back to SD!, except if I were booking this I would have Show come down during the match and take out both Edge, and Cena, and then while both guys are down, have Punk come out cash in his MITB shot and simply just pin Cena becoming the new WHC champion, it would be a new way of cashing in MITB that we have not seen yet, someone cashing it in during a title match

To me it would make more sense for Punk to cash in on Orton, afterall it was his fault that Punk actually lost the WHC.
There's so many options, I just hope they don't have it clustered as anything, as what's the point in having a brand split if Cena (a Raw superstar) is appearing on SD?

I don't see the point at all, having the titles on separate brands undermines the point of having a brand split and of having 2 titles. Somehow the title needs to be on Smackdown, in the middle of a feud with Edge and Jericho, it'd be the most interesting feud the belt has seen due to the level of skill the 2 men possess.
