What TV Shows Did You Grow Up With?

So, what TV shows did you grow up watching? We're talking the before teens sort of range here.

For me, the one that stands out is Batman, also known as Batman: The Animated Series. It was on at the same time as The Simpsons but I would gladly turn over. Not only did it have that "Holy shit, this is cool" factor, it was also pretty fucking dark for a kid's show. Here's a video is anyone needs their mind jogging:

And of course, there's the obvious one. That being The Simpsons of course. Won't go into much detail, you all know about The Simpsons. Mostly cartoons really, I watched Dragon Ball Z quite a bit. That was pretty awesome.

I'm an only child with eccentric parents so I was essentially raised around only adults so cartoons and kids shows never appealed to me. I remember watching talk shows as a little kid. The trashy ones like Richard Bey, Jenny Jones, Rikki Lake, ect. Also game shows such as Shop Til You Drop, Supermarket Sweep and The Price is Right.

Hmm. This explains alot. Mainly my adult preoccupation with money and flair for the dramatic.

I was a child of the 80's and man there were some great sitcoms in that decade. I loved the Cosby Show and Cheers, but my 2 all time favorite shows were Roseanne and the The Wonder Years. Damn I love the Wonder Years! I was so pissed off the last episode when we found out that Kevin and Winnie didn't end up together. Regardless, still one of the greatest shows ever.

Being born in teh mid 80s I got to get teh best of the end of the 80s and beginning 90s TV shows. Thundercats and He-man for 80s boy-ness, ducktales and Tiny toons for a bit of comedy cutey type-ness. Gameshow wise was the rush home from school on a friday for Funhouse with Pat Sharp but basically if you asked me to pick just one TV show it would be this;

I used to watch loads of stuff that I dont think I would have got when I was a young lad. Stuff like M*A*S*H*, The Wonder Years, Roseanne and Happy Days. I try to watch them now but I think there all complete crap. The cartoons I used to watch as well haven't aged too good. He-Man is still ok. But Thundercats is terrible, the movie is going to suck. The Racoons is ok. But what the fuck is that pink thing supposed to be? The Poddington Peas is shit. Then again it's all better than what they have for kids now. It's all people singing in a high school, wise cracking twins or a fat black girl who can see into the future. The Disney channel sucks.

the simpson i grew up with them and i still watch them but even i admit that this show isn't what it used to be but the episode 24 minutes was awesome
and alson watch desperate housewives (im not gay!!) and a show called "dicil de creer" belive me for being produced in mexico is pretty good

As a kid, I used to watch the original Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (for some reason, back then they weren't ninjas, or at least not in the UK) and the original ghostbusters cartoons. Oh, and the original power rangers. Its wierd how a show with a basic concept like that has gone on to spawn 14 spin offs (according to Wikipedia). Oh, and like most others, the Simpsons too

As I kid i used to watch Mr. Dressup(Canadian show). It was about an old man who liked to hang around little kids and puppets(a little creepy when I think of it) but It was all I watched for a while.

I grew up watching Full House and Boy Meets World. As for cartoons it was Captain Planet, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter! The good ole days before Spongebob and Dora.

hey now spongebobs not that bad but nothing compared to what I grew up watchin and I must say the best show I watched growing up was Rugrats everything I knew back then I learned from Tommy, Chucky, Phil, Lil, and Angelica

Captain Planet

God i forgot all about Captain planet. I used to watch that show all the time, and also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(I had all their action figures)...good times!

Lol. You cant forget about the rugrats you're right. I also remember that I used to watch Hey Arnold, Ahhh Real Monsters, Are you Afraid of the Dark? and the Wonder Years. I guess Spongebob isn't so bad..if you're 7. ;-) Just kidding.

ooh I forgot about Hey Arnold, but the other 2 I remember but were a bit before my time. some other good shows I watched growing up was Doug and also like Sam said earlier Dragonball Z when I got older, those were both quality shows

I forgot Rocko's Modern Life. That was one of my favorite cartoons of all time. It had entertainment and was more of a dry humor cartoon. I played the video game aswell.
