What next for the One Man Band?

I don't think WWE is done with Slater yet. I think WWE will push him in the mid-card, maybe he'll become a contender to the IC or US. Titles. Unless WWE just needed someone to job to these legends which could also be a possibility but Slater has gotten a lot of TV time over the last month.I hope they continue to do stuff with him.

In theory, good things are int he future for him. The fact that the company put him on TV like they did for so many weeks in an angle that was leading up to a fairly big moment on the biggest Raw in years says to me that they have faith in him or see something in him. At the end of the day, Slater is a jobber right now but he got on TV more regularly than a large portion of the roster in the last few months and that's a good sign for him. He was given a small chance and I think he did quite well with it. As for the future, maybe a small feud with Santino or with someone else. Just getting himself on TV in any way would be a good thing.

there 3 options:
1}a big push {rival with santino on the U.S. title}.
2}a little push {team up again with gabriel and go on to the tag team division.
3}no changes - still a decent part of the raw/smackdown roster.will be a main part of superstars.

The run with the legends recently gave him a lot of exposure and showed that his mic skills are passable and he can sell and bump very well. That alone will keep him around for a while as an enhancement talent. he worked a botch free match with Sin Cara a few weeks back, the dude has skills.

I would give him a nice little win streak then put him in a higher profile match, say a tag team match with Santino as one of his opponents, maybe Santino and Ryder vs. Slater and Rhodes, and then start a feud shortly before or after SummerSlam. Have Santino defend against someone at SummerSlam to give him some credibility but have Slater take the title off him at Night of Champions. Santino is a guy who will be over without the title.

I don't see any worthwhile use of Heath Slater here on out, other than a guy like JTG where he comes back and takes a dive every now and then for a new superstar to get a push. Slater is a bland, boring character who can't do anything on the mic. Time for him to go, or at least get off RAW.

I see no hope in his future, i dunno how people find him entertaining, sure i guess it's laughable him jobbing to every Tom Dick and Harry but that's where the fun ends, he was a joke in The Corre and he will continue to be a joke lest they do a complete 180 turn and make him credible again.

Maybe he's meant to be like Gillberg lol.

I think that he has paid his dues by jobbing to legends, in my opinion, the WWE should start rewarding him with actual feuds, even if he doesn't win every match, but meningfull feuds, at first, to me he was indifferent, but every time he got to the ring and started talking, he started to grow on me, now every time he talks in the ring or backstage, i enjoy that, and after being embarassed every week, the WWE can stop now and move forward with him, i agree with a lot of you guys, he should start a feud with Santino, after a couple of back and fourth non title matches, they should give him the belt and see how he does, and i think he can do a good job if given the oportunity, that's kind of how the Miz started.......

It's tough to say. I like the guy and have been a fan since day one on NXT's first episode. He may have a future in a role similar to Santino's as a comedy jobber, it's better than being future endeavoured. I still think he's missing something though, I've always thought the guy could be a big star some day. Perhaps if he dropped the silliness of the One Man Band character and went into a more serious arrogant heel persona. This seems to be making the fans care more about him though, and look at all the exposure the legends angle got Slater.

Feuds with Santino or Brodus could be quite hilarious, so that is the direction I wouldn't mind seeing WWE take from here. There's really nowhere else for Slater to go and either feud would benefit both guys involved. They could always bring the tag team with Gabriel back together, but I doubt WWE want to go in that direction, and who else could he team with right now? He's stuck in this role. It's not like they could throw him into the Intercontinental Championship picture, Miz would destroy him, he lost to LITA. Santino could perhaps drop his title to Slater in a feud, but he needs to continue to get support before he gets any major wins at this point. I just hope he sticks around, even as a jobber, because I'm a fan and want to see him succeed.

That'd be my take on Slater. Feud with Santino, take the belt off him as a return for jobbing to legends, and then use that as an oppurtunity to put gold on someone young and coming up from NXT or FCW. Slater can carry himself well enough to get some tv time but there's no way he can be a staple for many more years.

And Dagger, I agree, I think he's missing something, I for one am not a big fan of his look. It's funny and fits with the OMB gimmick, but no one wants to cheer on George Weasley. Slater needs a more mature look, maybe some scruff would help, but we already have one scruffy, firecrotch star, Sheamus.

The only viable role I see for him is a heel comedy jobber. As others have said, he could feud with the other comedy jobbers like Santino and Brodus. If not, then I hate to say it but, Heath Slater... Good Luck in all your future endeavors.

I agree with SDS1582. He might get some matches with lower midcarders and maybe fed to Ryback he won't be seen on tv if not IMO

Since NXT and his split with with The Nexus,The Corre, and Justin Gabriel, all he has to show for it besides 3 wwe tag team title runs, all of which were not very notable, Heath Slater has had very, very little success.

However, since this he has developed more of a personality since, since most of his matches were sqaush matches, its pretty hard to tell if he has improved his in-ring skill.
However, he has stood out more then he did when he was in stables and in his tag team.
Now, I'm not really a big fan of his, but I am interested to see how WWE creative uses Heath, I highly doubt he will have a legandary career or anything, but, he could have alot of sucess depending on how much WWE creative is behind him
