What is your favorite duet?

In my opinion, a good duet is one of the most beautiful things in music. The blend of two talented artists together makes something special that should be praised, so what is your favorite duet?

I have to do two because both of these songs deserve to be mentioned.

The Prayer-Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion

This may not be a genre that many here are fond of, but I think this song is absolutely beautiful. Featuring two amazing artists in Bocelli and Dion, what I love most about this song is how it switches back and forth from english to italian as they sing. Even those who aren't a fan of this style of music have to admit that it is beautiful.

If You See Him, If You See Her-Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn

I couldn't help but include a country duet  I've been a big fan of Reba for years, and when she got together with Brooks & Dunn it was a great combination. Also I was looking for the official music video and I stumbled upon a video someone made of Trips and Steph, so I couldn't help but post that one :p

EPICA - Trois Vierges (with Roy Khan)

Now that Roy Khan has left Kamelot I'm really excited to see where he goes next. I hope it's with a full symphonic metal band with a great female singer. The music he made with Simone Simons is absolutely beautiful.

My pick is "Close Your Eyes" by Ozzy Osbourne & Lita Ford. I never was a big fan of Lita Ford (or even The Runaways, for that matter), but I didn't hate her either. Ozzy is a GOD, or at least he used to be. I think Ozzy was one of the early-Metal pioneers, that helped shape a generation...I also think he was a HUGE part of bringing Metal to the main-stream (most notably during his time with Black Sabbath).

The 1980s were a strange time, but I like that Metal got a bit of a "softer" side. It seemed that a lot of the "rockers" of the 80s (especially the "hair" bands) were including at least one ballad per record...especially toward the late 80s.

This song is great, it shows a bit of Ozzy's "softer" side as well. He still has a lot of power in his voice, but it shows that the "Prince of Darkness" has a heart after all. Love it.

When I saw Andrea Bocelli's name, I thought the song was going to be this wee beauty

Really like this song and regularly gets played on the mp3 player as I amble through town. I can't remember them exactly but the lyrics are really quite nice and triumphant in some ways so that when combined with the music, it adds up into a great overall feeling.

Ah! I was was going to put the Reba/Brooks&Dunn song!

This is one of my favorite duets of all time. I love every version, but this one is great haha :p.

This is another one of my favorites.

I love Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow's voices together, I think they really compliment each other :).

hmmm im not really a huge fan of many duets i know i like some but right now i cant think of any besides this 1 its pretty good and im a big country music fan so i decided to post Picture by Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow

its just a really great song and if i rember right it topped the country charts for many weeks

I was going to try and post a meaningful and emotional song, but then I though "Nahhhhh, lets post some gagsta rap!"

I love this track. Out of all the rap songs out there with guest appearances from other artists, I think this one works best. Dre and 2Pac's styles compliment each other really well, and I like how they each have their own verses. There have been literally hundreds of duets between rappers over the years, but none have reached the level of "California Love".

The beat is a classic, the lyrics are awesome and when you put two of the all time greats together, magic happens.

Also, while posting this I thought of another duet that I really love, and that is "Stan" by Eminem. The original version features an uncredited chorus sung by Dido, which launched her career, but the live version performed at a music awards ceremony was a phenomenal duet with Slim Shady and Sir Elton John, with Elton playing the piano and singing Dido's lines. It was such a shock seeing these 2 artists performing together and it got such a good reception that the live version appears on "Curtain Call", Eminem's Greatest Hits complilation. The "self-censoring" by Em doesn't really work that well though, as he still says "shit" throughout the song and gives the finger at the end lol

BUMP!

Anyway, I dunno why didn't post in here sooner. Honestly, I don't really go out of my way to really listen to much music nowadays let alone duets but I remember watching Rush Hour 3 the other day and there was a scene where Chris Tucker's character sings this song on stage. It was the first time I heard the song in a long time and watching that scene just made me want to look up this song. I'm usually not huge on love songs but this was just beautiful. I never heard much of Roberta Flack's work but I remember listening to a lot of Donny Hathaway as a child. The song brings back fond memories of childhood and of the women who I was fortunate and happy to have in my life.

My picks would be:

Deftones Passenger (Maynard/Chino)

Sevendust: Bender (Lajon/Chino)

Lita Ford/Ozzy Close my eyes forever

Philip Bailey/Phil collins

This is my pick for a few reasons.

 • I love songs with a good message to them and this one has a great message.
 • Even without the message I love all 80s music and this is no exception.
 • Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder do a great job together. 2 music greats that are even better when they work together.

Good message, 80s song and 2 of the best, what's not to lover about this song? If this song doesn't move you just a little bit you have no soul

These are my favorite vocaloid songs with duets? Doesn't mean just couples. It would be nice if you put the link for the song. But I won't put any Rin & Len duets, coz there's too many songs with them as duets and is too hard to choose just one XD
My favorite songs with duets:

Meiko & Kaito - Eternal Paean (I really love this song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L1eRRIYN…

Miku & Len - Your World, My world (But recently I'm in love with World's contrast)

Miku & Gumi - Matryoshka

Miku & Luka - World's End Dance Hall (I really love the song MOTHER too)

MOTHER (no subs so far TT_TT): /watch?v=YjDvfgHJySM

Len & Luka - Repeat of Refrain (this song is amazing!) and Moonlight Waltz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Unvp55mI…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0GzmIAC-…

There are a lot more with a lot other characters, but it will be too long!

Little Baby Nothing-Manic Street Preachers Feat Traci Lords

I love the Manics and this song is a great duet. The song talks about women generally seen a sexual objects and their sexual exploitation, all the more driven home when you release Traci Lords was a porn actress.

My favorites are all from none other than Michael Jackson. He's my favorite artist of all time and no one comes even close. Here I have "Say Say Say" with Paul McCartney, and "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" ft Siedah Garret. The third one I wanted to put on here was "The Girl Is Mine" ft. Paul McCartney but I can't find the original version on YouTube for some reason.
