What Is Your All Time Favorite Promotion?

OK, I'd just like to get your thoughts on what was your favorite promotion be it WWF/E, WCW, ECW (Original, not crappy), TNA, ROH.

Mine personally has to be WWF/E because it is what I grew up watching and WCW & ECW wasn't shown as much as WWF was in England so I didnt get the chance to fully get into the other two.

My all time favourite promotion is the WWE, the WWE reinvented wrestling, it made it bigger, better and entertainment.

I began watching wrestling in 1996 at the age of 6 and didn´t stop watching it.

What was I watching ? WWE.

I grew up watching the WWE and was entertaint over the years and I´m still being entertaint by them.

I don´t care if the booking of RAW lacks logic at the moment and I don´t care that people like Hornswoggle get Tv Time or that the moveset of John Cena is said to be limited.

I always enjoyed WWF/WWE and damn it I still do and no ROH or TNA can deliver that kind of atmosphere like a WWE show does.
To me no promotion is even close to being as good as the WWE, and I´m not talking about right now but about the overall product WWE, the history of that company is just amazing.

It's WWE and it's not even close. I never ever understood the love fest that people gave WCW. It really wasn't that good, it was just something different. WWE was clearly the better promotion, hence the reason it won the Monday Night Wars and when you went on the WCW website the WWF logo showed up.

TNA isn't as bad as people say, and is entertaining to watch every so often, but after months of watching it I could do so no longer. I'm not even sure of which word to describe it. But WWE is of such a higher quality.

I'm sure the Japan fanatics will be here soon. It may be good, it may not be. But I fail to see the point if it's in Japanese and, yano, you DON'T SPEAK JAPANESE. Plus, the lack of promos, storyline's etc. seems way too boring for me.

WWE has everything. 5 hours of shows a week and it's still highly entertaining. I know it's cool to hate it on these forums lately, but this year of wrestling is by far better than recent years and I completely love it, as I always have. It has entertaining promos, great matches, and the most talented individuals in the world of Pro-Wrestling.

Hmm, she's got a point actually.

I suppose I'd be forced to say that TNA is my favourite promotion of all-time. Just because it's my thing, y'know. It's shit most of the time, but I like to think that when it's at its best it could give any promotion in the world a run for its money.

Usually though, unadulterated shit. I did also like some aspects of WCW. The videogames, for example.

I did like WCW, but the WWE wins this with ease.

It's quite simple and doesn't need much explanation. Better storylines, better matches, better build up, better fueds, bigger show, bigger superstars, WrestleMania and much more. Quite simply, it's the best. Better than TNA? Easily. Too many gimmick matches, not enough traditional matches.

WWE has the better superstars, and their ability to create superstar after superstar after superstar is a class above everyone else. Hogan, to Austin, to The Rock, to Cena. They're all larger than life, and the WWE created them.

TNA.Purely because i find it more exciting.More enthralling than the WWE.I might get criticised for this,but I like the X division.I like high flying,high risk,full impact matches.I like seeing wrestlers flying across the ring,jumping off the top rope,colliding with their opponents.I don't particularly love spotfest,but I like my matches with a few spots,but I'd still take a 10 minute spotfest over a 30 minute borefest,with 20 minutes spent punching,in rest holds and hurt on the ground.Maybe it's just me,but I want to enjoy,not endure wrestling.If that means a group of less than 6 foot wrestlers jumping on each other,so be it.It's all in the name,Total Nonstop Action.

They also put on some great,memorable matches.I can remember the Matches,The wrestlers,the pay-per-views.I can remember Joe vs Aj vs Daniels at Unbreakable 2005,Joe vs Angle multiple times,Storm vs Harris Sacrifice 2007.That's more than I can say for the wwe over the last,say,2 years.Cena vs Michaels,Michaels vs Taker.Emm....

I know not everyone likes TNA,and I amn't saying TNA is perfect.No way.But I'd rather it be shit some of the time,than not be brilliant aswell.

Nobody? No, no, nobody. Well, there's always a first for everything. My all time favorite wrestling promotion would have to be EC F'n W. No, it is not Extremely Crappy Wrestling. It had all the aspects of the show you wanted from professional wrestling. It had hardcore, Lucha Libre, Solid technical wrestling, high flying, and the crowds emotion for the show was great. ECW created so many things in wrestling. They had the first ever Triple threat match (3 way dance) They basically created hardcore wrestling. They brought Lucha Libre to the states. Emotion was highly involved in the promotion, and they didn't get enough credit. Without ECW, pro wrestling would have never become what it had.

Some of their storylines were the most taboo things in wrestling. Some of them were looked down upon very much by many people. Some were just shocking. But you know what, they always had you excited, and wanting more. You think TNA is a spotfest, huh, your watching the wrong show my friend.

Well early WWF up until mid 97 and WCW from 1995-1998. I tell you why I preferred WCW overall though because Nitro had real main events with the big stars and it took WWF years to do this with Raw. Bret Hart is my favourite wrestler ever though and my favourite period was when he reunited the Hart Foundation and they waged war on America. I think thats the best storyline in wrestling ever for me.

Although ROH is running a close second, and it is my current love- I can't ignore the passion I still have for ECW. It was and probably always will be my favorite promotion. ECW came along at a time in my life where wrestling was a fleeting interest of mine. The WWE was into the cartoon characters like Adam Bomb, Doink and Papa Shango. WCW had solid wrestling, but the storylines were lacking and it was downright boring on occasion. ECW provided me with something that I had never seen before in wrestling. It was fresh and innovative. The storyline were well thought out and edgy. There was nowhere else you could see a 45 minute technical match followed by a violent hardcore barbwire match. The balance and quality of the shows couldn't be beat by any other promotion.

I’m going to go ahead and just say it. My favorite promotion is the majority’s favorite, the WWE. I always thought of McMahon Wrestling Federation to be the best. I do place the NWA, WCW, ECW (Paul’s), and TNA on the left side of the rostrum, and everything else is on the right side. I like all Pro Wrestling, but the WWE will always be number one in my mind.

Without doubt it's the WWE (pretty much until it bought out WCW). I mean I loved the original ECW and I dabbled in the WCW shows occassionally. But from 1989 until 1999 it was "WWF" that had me hooked. So for all time favourite it is that (especially as I still watch the WWE sometimes now. Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison are the future). I do however prefer what TNA are doing at the moment so I tend to watch that most weeks.
