Just wanted to get your thoughts on Reby Sky's twitter tantrum about Sid. Sure she has some points ie No showing is unprofessional. But does she know Sid personally?? Doubt it. Does she know the REAL circumstances of him no showing. Doubt that even more.

Wonder if she would say that to his face?? Coz its much easier to spit out your opinion online when the person you're bashing isn't infront of you

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
No showing an event, especially an indy group that was advertising you and for them paying you in advance and the fans wanting to see you and you not showing up, isnt cool at all.
Maybe these things really did happen to Sid, maybe not.
Could she be jealous that he got to be on Raw and not her or Matt?
Ive been to events where some names didnt show up, both WWE (HHH claiming he was hurt to not wrestle Brock Lesnar at MSG) and local, where they did offer refunds.
It will be interesting the next time they are both booked on the same show

yeah she does have a point. I have a local indy promotion called UPW and last show Justin Credible no-showed and was paid in advance first time its happened to me. I think to stop this from happening, no advance pay. you dont get paid until you show. then if they no-show they dont get paid.

If your in the business you know that this something you just do not do. Unlike Scott Steiner who can bash Hulk Hogan because he has had a legendary 25+ year career as apart of one of greatest tag teams ever, invented frankensteiner, wrestled everywhere, been to Wrestlemania-Tokyo Dome-190k people in North Korea, WCW World Champ etc....she has done nothing. Being Matt Hardy's girlfriend you would have thought he would have smarted her up that you don't bash those with seniority...it's like a unwritten code & it won't do her any favours in trying to get a job in the mainstream.

I think it's a combination of someone whose loyal to the business being legitimately infuriated by someone whose now in it solely for the money, due to his catastrophic personal life. I'm sure she feels that people like Sid give the world of professional wrestling a bad name, and sadly, I'd have to agree. The reason I think that's sad to agree to, is Reby's equally as much of a disgrace to the wrestling industry.

She's a rat who rode up on Matt Hardy's jock, and is likely utilizing this as an opportunity to try and get herself relevant. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Whether it's via heat or admiration, if it brings in attention, you're going to be better off than you were before... Unless you're dumbass Teddy Hart.

The source of the rant may not be valid. But the rant itself seemed to make valid points.

I don't see anyone disputing that Sid actually did no-show / blackmail the indy promoter. We know many of the former stars that headline indy shows, do want their travel expenses paid for in order to get to the show.

Perhaps it is the fault of the indy promoter for not having a clad contract, and legally hold the wrestler responsible for no-showing. That won't stop no-shows, but it gives them a recourse for financial compensation.

What is fair? I would say travel expenses to show up + 20 % of pay. Then after the show, the star gets 80%.

I wonder if many of these handshake agreements are based on the gate, and then wrestlers have to trust the numbers given to them by the promoter?

To me Reby Sky's opinion means about as much as some random hobo asking for change on the street. She's a nobody, her claim to fame is getting tasered by Matt Hardy. Sid accomplished more in his first year in wrestling than she will accomplish in her life so I don't even consider her opinion to be relevant in any way ever to me.

If she's mad with Sid that's fine, I've heard the same thing about Sid from others but its just a piss poor way to bring it up. The sole purpose of that tweet was to get people talking about her so I guess she accomplished what she tried to accomplish, in that sense good for her.

I'm sure Sid has no showed and I personally don't believe in that although we don't know what happened with those promoter's and situation's so I'm not really in a position to comment. I think its a bad idea to pay the talent up front in full, that way it puts them in a position to get screwed. Sid should never no show but at the same time the promoter should only cover his travel and accommodations at that point so if the talent no shows the worst case scenario you are out the cost of a plane ticket instead of 100's or 1000's of dollars. It may be morally wrong but its plain stupid on the promoter's part as well.
