What Do We Amount To ???

The Roid Rage

Getting Noticed By Management
I was reading a thread about NXT where the OP mentioned how Michael Cole bashes Daniel Bryan at every pass, he has lost every match, and hypothesized that he will end up losing NXT, stating that this could be done by Vince McMahon as a big FUCK YOU to the IWC since the IWC seems to love him so much.

Another person mentioned that him being brought in the company, given plenty of mic and ring time, the fact that Cole mentions him all the time and Mathews responds with something positive every time, is all a sign that they actually take the IWC into consideration It was that comment that inspired my to write this thread to question that thought.

Does the WWE and TNA really pay attention to the IWC ? Do they take our advice from time to time, and take cues from us on who to bring in, up, and beyond?

What do our opinions really amount to?

Are the impact of our opinions controlled solely by who's merchandise sells the most, and who gets the pops in the arena's? Or in some way, for some reason, do they actually take our thoughts into consideration.

Haven't any of you ever wondered if there is someone who works for the WWE or TNA with a WrestleZone account coming here, reading what we think and say about stuff, and pitching our ideas or giving feedback from us?

Do any of our thoughts and suggestions really get that far, or are we just talking until we're blue in the face to a deaf ear?

How do you think the business should handle it's relationship to the IWC?

Do you think they should interact more with the IWC, and tap this source of information and ideas, and if so how?

Discuss.

Yes WWE & TNA monitor the internet especially those in creative and those who work in their online media departments. Vince McMahon on the other hand is a 60 year old man who doesnt understand the internet and that is were his prejudice comes from.

IWC is contemptable term btw.

Well, WWE has their own forums now, and polls and stuff on their website, so it seems that the input of the internet matters to them somewhat. Probably not a great deal though, and why should it? Granted, some people come on here just to talk about wrestling with a bunch of like minded folks and have some fun. Then again lots of people post their opinions on these sites like its absolute fact and are shocked that WWE or TNA even arent doing it already, when at the end of the day, your just some nerd posting on a messageboard, get the fuck over yourself.

WWE may play to the net fans by doing all of this stuff with Daniel Bryan, but nothing anyone on here says will directly impact his career, it'll just cause on air personalities to have a bit of fun at our expense. Lets face it, what matters to them more? The cheers and merchandise sales of the people that have paid for the shows? Or the opinions of a bunch of know it all geeks who probably watch it all on a stream anyway?

I'm sure that the WWE pays at least some attention to what internet fans say, though I wouldn't exactly say that decisions the company makes is based heavily on the opinions of internet fans. As Miko said, there's no real reason as to why they should. In a lot of situations regarding the ins and outs of actually running a business as large as WWE, most of us probably don't know nearly as much as we think that we do.

The problem attributed to a lot of internet fans is that we simply don't know as much as we think and, in many cases, I'm sure that's true. We can say what we want, think what we want and hypothesize all we want on who should get pushed, what angles should be worked, who should feud with whom, who should be in the main event, etc but there are no consequences for us doing any of this. In our heads, lots of our ideas probably sound mighty fine at times. Sometimes, there are some good ideas that come about here. But potentially hundreds of millions of dollars a year don't hang in the balance when it comes to what we'd do or what we think would work.
