My current best thing in Country music. Fact. Taylor Swift is amazing to me, and almost every one of her song's (that's been a nationally known song, that is) has been great to listen to.
Her duet with Def Leppard was amazing on CMT's Crossroads. I think she has a very big down-side though, and that's her openly admitting that she mainly only gets her song writing ability from personal real-life issues. Mainly, a lot of them having to deal with boys and teenage problems in relation to boys and relationships. That is gonna get old, as noone wants to hear 400 songs about roughly the same thing. (well, I take part of that back, several hundred, if not thousand, of lonely teens will listen over and over)
I firmly admit that when I seen Crossroads, with Swift & Leppard combined, it brought back a whole new love for Def Leppard to me. All because of how great they sounded, with her. In other words, it was her voice, that truly made me relove a lot of their songs. This one, especially.

White Horse is her newest hit, and it's been a song I've played a lot recently. I have no clue why, other than to say it actually is just a very great song in general.
I heard the story behind this song, is actually in part to her break-up with someone, in which the guy did it over the phone because he couldn't face her to do it. Well, duh. Why the fuck would you ever want to break up with Taylor Swift in the first place? She has an amazing body, a great voice, and seems like a wonderful Female in general. That guy must've been a complete dick.
In actuality, barring a couple lyric changes, I'm sure I could fit this song to be about someone from my past. Sad thing is, I'm sure it'd hurt just the same.

The final video I have, is actually the duet version she did with Def Leppard, followed by the video version by herself. The reason I have two of the same song, is because I wanted to show how expressive and passionate she gets involved with her music.
This video, the Def Leppard version, shows her toward the final bits of the song, truly getting so wrapped into it.. that each time she hits the final bit, when she drops to her knees (taken as seriously as possible, thank you) it gives me goosebumps everytime.

All in all, I think she's gonna become a big success in the Country/Alternative music industry. A lot of people may not come to like her greatly, because she doesn't fit the "older school" type of Country music, but in this day and age of singers, outside of one or two individuals who truly does anymore.
