On Smackdown in 2008 Jeff Hardy was always the number one contender for triple H at one point. I remember going up to the Scramble match at Unforgiven and even after Jeff and The Brian Kendrick had great heel vs face chemistry when cutting promos. Brian would comment on how Jeff lost his title match and Jeff would return on how he had pinned Brian before. There could've have been a great fued made out of that don't you think?
