What are your TOP 3 BLOODIEST MATCHES!?

There's been LOTS of bloody matches throughout history so let me know what your TOP 3 bloodiest matches are!

Here are mine..

Number One
Eddie Guerrero vs. JBL - Judgment Day 2004

Number Two
Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker - No Mercy 2002

Number Three
Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H vs. Chris Benoit - Wrestlemania 20

Without a doubt it has to be The Undertaker v Brock Lesnar from No Mercy 2002. the blade job Undertaker did to put Lesnar over that strongly was fantastic, Taker surely would have lost a lot of blood that night in North Little Rock, Arkansas

I keep looking at everyones posts to the thread and it says right there STRICTLY WWE/WWF and there are ECW fights listed......Jesus people cant read!!

Anyway now that I have that out of my system I would have to say Undertaker vs Brock No Mercy 2002 was one that definitely sticks out in my head.

HHH vs Cactus Jack in the Street Fight at Royal Rumble was another bloody mess.

As for a number 3 I would have to Bret Hart and Austin WM13 the picture of SCSA in the sharpshooter with blood dripping down his face still sends chills down the spine

In no order, because I haven't seen them in a while!

  • Brock Lesnar vs Taker - No Mercy, Hell in a cell helped the blood. The ring was a damn mess, it was a good match as well that Taker should have won..but he was putting Lesnar over..hell, even Heyman bled! the tie incident was hilarious!
  • HHH vs HBK - Badd Blodd 04, again Hell in a cell for 40+ mins helped the blood, they both blead soo much, they were just NACKERD at the end..
  • Austin vs Bret Hart - WM13, Just the the sight of seeing all the blood of Austin! Just seeing that one scene, it sums up blood..and it has been shown in black and white as well which makes it look really memorable!

Raven vs Sandman in a Clockwork Orange House Of Fun Match on a TNA weeky PPV back in '03. Raven bladed so deep the wound didn't heal in time for the next weeks show where he faced off against AJ in a Ladder Match where he bled heavy again.

My 3 are in order...

Vince vs _______ (insert name) Bleeds like crazy on every PPV match he was in no matter who it was.

Brock vs Taker--- Hell in a Cell. Enough said.

Eddie vs JBL--- Unlike the Miz,this match was AWESOME!!!

There are many others from back in the day when WWE was COOL. I personally dont like the PG rating but im 30 yrs old and thats a different topic. Thats all i got.

Christ this thread saddens me. Has a single person picked a match that hasn't taken place in the last 10 years? God damn you kids are young, you need to go back and watch the old school classics, they make today's "bloody matches" look like a walk in the park on a sunday compared to some of the blood-fests that were a regular thing in the old days. Won't be going with strictly WWE matches because that would be no fun.

First things first though, I'm going with a modern match, and that's Samoa Joe vs. Necro Butcher from IWA-MS in June of 2005. Ho-ly fucking shit what a match that was, bar none the most brutal wrestling match I have ever seen and they didn't use a single weapon, by the end of the match Joe is literally covered from head to foot in Necro's blood, I'm not exaggerating either, Joe is literally COVERED in blood from head to foot by the end of the match to the point where it looks like he just came from a murder scene. Amazingly brutal and stiff classic match with a bloody visual you have to see to begin to believe, never have I seen someone get the shit kicked out of them in a wrestling match like Necro did that night.

Up next I'd have Jim Duggan vs. Ted DiBiase from the Mid South Coliseum in 1985 in their infamous Tuxedo Cage/a million other stipulations match. Duggan's blade job is one of legend in that match as he hits the turnbuckle pad halfway through and is just a bloody-pulpy mess by the time the match comes to a close at barely 15 minutes, absolutely brutal bladejob from Duggan here that is NOT for the faint of heart.

And finally I'd have the Great Muta vs. Jinsei Shinzaki from April 29th, 1996 in New Japan. Muta busts Jinsei open with a piece of a table if I remember correctly and he just starts SPEWING blood all over the god damn arena, he's just a physically weak bloody mess by the match's end, amazing match with a brutal bladejob from Shinzaki.

Honorable recommendation of course goes to Great Muta vs. Hiroshi Hase from the fall of 1991, in which Muta re-defined the bladejob and invented "The Muta Scale" to judge how much someone bleeds in a match. NOT a match for the faint of heart, one of the bloodiest ever.

Oh and remember guys, this is a NON SPAM thread. PROVIDE REASONS for why you chose your matches, or your post will be treated as spam.

the one that sticks in my mind while certainly not a great match but bob holly vs rvd on ecw in 2006 when holly cut his back going through the table--just bled awful and lots of it and the size of the gash was gawdy. like i said not a great match but hard to forget after seeing it

stonecold vs bret hart

wooow i still got the stonecold shirt wth his face on it covered in bloood, this was probably the first bloodest match in wwe and i remember watching the mainevent after undertaker vs sid there was still sooo much blood on the mat from the austin/hart match

the rock vs mankind i quit match
i think the rock hit mankind over 20 times in the head wit that steeel chair

undertaker vs brock and eddie vs jbl

both blood bash, but brock is an beast n i cant remember anybody who beat undertaker sooo bad and didnt have to cheat to win....

King of the death match Tournament 1996 - the one that ended with Mick Foley VS Terry Funk.......Extremely Brutal C4 match with thumbtacks and broken glass. What more can you ask for?

Im gonna go with one from tna...and that match is chris harris vs james storm in the texas deathmatch at sacrifice of 07....this match was bloody within the first 5 minutes all the way til the end

Ok i dnt have an order but here they are...
New Year Revolution i think 2006.
Dx vs Rated Rko.
randy orton looked like eddie for the eddie and jbl match.

Eddie and jbl had only 1 bloody part of the match but i guess that counts.

Um Unforgiven 2006 dx vs mcmahons and bigshow was really bloody 2 especially shane.

Hhh and hbk had several grueling, bloody matches....the 3 stages of hell the last man standing match

O does anyone remember when mercury from mnm got busted open by hardys...that was really bloody. i think it was at an Armageddon. If you kno the year plz tell me thx^^

I would say the bloodiest match i've ever seen was hbk vs hhh last man standing match at royal rumble 2004. they both bleed like crazy and michaels whole face was soaked in blood.

how bout hhh vs kevin nash hell in a cell bad blood 2003, very bloody match and even mick foley who was the special guest referee got busted open

@Joezzy^^ - the year was 2006. That was just plain nasty, Mercury looked like a bloody elephant man in about 10 seconds after getting cracked with that ladder.

1) Muta vs. Hiroshi Hase - This is the famous match where they created the "Muta scale" because of how much blood was lost by Muta. I've seen it and I personally have never seen so much blood spilled in 1 match in my life, just unbelievably bloody.

2) Terry Funk vs. Sabu - This was a barbwire match for the ECW Title (I think). Now this was also an extremely bloody match and was probably one of the least pretty matches I've seen. Both guys bleeding all over their bodies from their heads to their waist, the part where Sabu almost rips off his bicep is exceptionally brutal.

3) Abdullah the Butcher vs. Bruiser Brody - I remember this one from WCCW I think. They had plenty of bloody battles but there was one that I particularly remember just because of how bloody it was. Both guys just had some of the best crimson masks i've ever seen, I thought they were gonna turn the ring completely red with all the blood lost. I don't remember this one too much, but I remember how brutal and bloody it was.

There was a Sid/ Goldberg match in WCW in which Sid bled like crazy. A lot of Ric Flair matches also had a lot of blood in his recent years. But I'd say pick up any Mick Foley hardcore match and it would definitely top the list with the thumbtacks and barbwire.

So many bloodbaths in wrestling history. My top 3 in no specific order.

1. Triple H vs. Mick Foley: Royal Rumble 2000 HHH's face literally looked painted red. I could see NO skin behind his crimson mask.
2. Eddie Guerrero vs. JBL: Judgment Day 2004 Blood was pouring from Eddie's face like a faucet.
3. Edge, Mick Foley, and Lita vs. Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk and Beluah at One Night Stand 2006 This match was so brutal, bloody and violent that IMO, it put Edge vs. Foley from WM22 to shame even though they didnt even use fire at ONS.

Not that I'm bashing your opinion here or anything mate because I'm not like that.. but you said "god damn you kids are young".. and you totally went off of subject and didn't mention one WWF/WWE match. When my first post blatently says "Strictly WWF/WWE".

You said some great matches don't get me wrong, but it sorta narked me abit that you insulted the younger generation for being "too young". It's not really their fault for being born a certain year and missing some stuff, it's just life.

Not bashing your opinion, I'm not like that. I just thought you should know. You aren't the only one that didn't mention a WWF/WWE match either, most people just put down ECW matches because it was extreme. I don't see the point in posting really if all people do is completely go off subject and do the exact opposite of what the thread is about.

Yeah to be honest I didn't read your opening post. When you see a thread title like "Your Top 3 Bloodiest Matches", that doesn't mention WWE in the title, people are going to assume you can just list any match. Which I did, and once 3-4 more people started listing non WWE-Matches, I went back to the opening post and removed the bit about "strictly WWF/WWE".

I wasn't insulting anyone, I was kidding around. I just thought it was kind of sad that almost every answer I saw was a match from the last 5 years.

Notice how many more people have posted in this thread now that I've moved it to a different section and expanded the topic? Sorry if you don't agree, but this opens it up to alot more conversation than before.

1) Muta vs. Hase was already mentioned, but it set the standard. Definitely my #1; I didn't know someone could bleed that much and stay conscious. That's not a figure of speech, I -literally- didn't think someone could bleed that much and stay awake. If you ever get trapped in the wilderness and need to cut off a limb to survive, just remember this match and say "If Muta could stay alive through that, I can stay alive through this." You probably won't lose as much blood as he did, anyhow.

2) Manny Fernandez vs. Invader #3. Does it count if it was a shoot? For those of you younger fans, Manny Fernandez delivered three legitimate top rope knee drops to Invader #3, causing him to literally spew blood skywards about three feet. Props to Invader #3 for staying down for the third, I imagine after the second, he realized the first wasn't an accident.

3) The Mass Transit Incident. I still feel sick when I watch this video. First, the kid fucks up a blade job. You don't scrunch your forehead together when taking a blade!!!!! Go find the video- you can actually watch the wound pulse blood when New Jack hits a splash. Gruesome.

Honorable Mention: BJ Penn vs. Sean Sherk. Yes, it was MMA, but that was easily a .8 Muta.
