Well, sort of. She wants to reunite with Velvet Sky, specifically. There was no real mention of whether or not that'd include Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne, who as we all know, was part of the threesome for years as well. In fact, Rayne didn't seem to keen on the idea of her return.

I'm not big on women's wrestling, but I can't lie — I marked pretty hard for AL's return. She's always been a TNA staple, and even though that segment was D-rate acting, at best, it was still a pretty feel good moment for a company that hasn't had too many of these types of moments the last year or two.

Thoughts on Love's return?

There were a couple of things about the segment that seemed off as you mentioned, specifically the bad acting and the absence of Madison. I thought it was setting up for a Love heel turn, where Velvet agrees to reunite only to have Love take her out mid-celebration. Maybe Velvet does that old crawl through the legs bit and Love chokes her out or something. This might still be the case down the road. But regardless of the result, why drag out Velvet's "decision"? I'd think Velvet would jump at the chance to reunite, especially given that she's still up against Alpha/Sabin at the moment. I don't know - I liked seeing Angelina back, but the segment just fell a little flat for me.

I marked out for Angelina's return as well and hope that the Beautiful People do reunite. During their time together back when TNA started national televised episodes, they were the highest rated segment of the show. However, I do agree with the acting portion being lackluster. The crowd for the majority of the show just was not into it. You can see (especially in the back) that they look like they are sitting through church or something less exciting (though I cannot for the life of me think of anything less exciting than attending church). Either way, it is great to see more and more KnockOuts in the TNA roster than the 6 we were given for the past year or two.

She looked even worse then before. She aged badly.

But her intellect showed seemed upgraded, I dont know if that was theater or not.

 

[Lowdown]

I didn't care for the segment, though it's cool to have Angelina back. Listening to the dialogue last night, I feel a heel turn coming, and I think it's gonna be Velvet. This seems similar to Triple H turning on Shawn Michaels after reforming DX for all of 5 minutes back in '02. It's a toss up to who could or will turn. But I'm leaning towards Velvet as she's been doing alright solo the last couple years. And she's definitely the hotter of the two. I've been a proponent for having more heel KO's outside of Gail. This is something I'd be slightly invested in if it were to come to pass.
