This is a Second round match in the WCW Region, Baltimore Subregion. It is a standard one on one match. It will be held at the 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, Maryland.

This match takes place one week following the first round.

The British Bulldog: A footnote whose career highlights include one tag team which was carried by the Dynamite Kid and one match which was carried by Bret Hart.

Andre the Giant: Possibly the greatest sideshow ever produced in this glorified form of carny entertainment. If ever there was a man who was "above the title" as we like to say these days, it was this man right here.

Do I really need to say it? Measure greatness however you see fit: Money drawn, legacy, kayfabe dominance, ability to drink large amounts of red wine. Andre by miles and miles and miles.

Andre takes this one rather easily. I can't even think of a scenario that would have Bulldog winning. Andre may have been the best thing to ever happen to wrestling and Bulldog is merely a footnote

Andre in another blowout. I'm surprised Bulldog got by Luger. There's obviously no way he gets by Andre. I don't think much expanation is necessary but I guess I should provide something. Bulldog's greatest asset was always his strength. That will be neutralized here. His press slam, stall suplex, and running powerslam are all worthless in this match. Andre by a mile. Again.

Andre shouldn't meet any resistence until he faces Steve Austin in the regional final, or if he hits a snag by drawing a gimmick match that doesn't fancy him.

Andre would run right through Bulldog; Lugar might have been able to give Andre a small run, but Davey Boy would be flattened in a heartbeat. The giant's dominance was practically unparalleled but by a handful of others at the time. The only modern day attraction that pro wrestling has that could be compared to him would be the Undertaker.

Wow, I missed Bulldog going over Luger? What a crock of shit. Doesn't really matter though, Luger would have no more of a shot going over Andre than Bulldog does, which is roughly .01%, if you were wondering.

Neither man was truly a world champion, but one was one of the biggest names in wrestling history, main eventing the biggest Wrestlemania of all time. The other main evented a Summerslam which, yes, was a huge spectacle and should not be discredited. It's just the only thing he'll be remembered for.

Like everyone else here I am going Andre by a country mile. He beats Bulldog in almost every conceivable facet of the Business.

I'm gonna have to go Andre as well. I think it would be interesting to see if Bulldog could pick up Andre for a slam. Even if he could do it once I doubt he could sustain his normal offense long enough to keep Andre down for three

Bulldog had a good career with a couple serious wins under his belt, but he never beat anyone with the Look andre has. In a ladder match maybe Bulldog would pull it out, but Andre wins rather easily here.

A better match-up than the last round, but Andre is still going to steam roll through this round. The Bull-Dog has impressive amount of strength and speed for his size. But the man is a far cry from the success Andre had. Bulldog is going to put up a fight, but he is all bark and no bite in this match. Andre wins this and advances to the next round.

There are plenty of people who you'd look at and say have absolutely no chance of beating Andre simply because they're not strong enough but Bulldog isn't one of them. The guy was quick and very strong and would put up more of a fight than most, ultimately though he wasn't that bright in the ring and eventually would get caught.

I want to see Bulldog try a hanging suplex with Andre.

There's no question that this is Andre in a squash. The only question is if Bulldog can accumulate any damage on the big man that might take him out the following week. My guess is that it doesnt.

Andre greets Bulldog in the parking lot as he drives up to the arena. Andre picks up Bulldog's car and carries it to the ring. He slams the car upside down with Bulldog still in it for the 1-2-3. No one ever makes fun of the French again.

It really didn't matter to me who advanced in the Luger vs Bulldog match up in Round One, as either competitors would be stopped here by Andre.

The British Bulldog was in the main event at Unforgiven in 1999 competing for the WWF Championship but despite this brief push near the top, it was his Intercontinental Championship match with Bret Hart & tag-team that he is remembered for by those who remember him. Unlike Andre who is remembered by everyone.

Out of the two, Andre is the wrestler who had the most success and made the bigger impact in the wrestling world.

As much as I wanted to see Bulldog go further in this tournament, his run ends here.

Davey's greatest asset was his strength and power, and Andre completely neutralises them due to the sheer size and weight of the man. If so many other great names in the business could not get Andre off his feet, Bulldog wouldn't. He never drew as much as Andre, is not as important to wrestling as The Giant, and would be just another victim for Andre here.

There really isn't much to say here except that Andre wins. He is simply the bigger, badder, and better man. The Bulldog doesn't hold a candle to Andre and his Stardom. It is a better match-up then the last, but still an easy feat for The Giant.

Andre takes this in a match in which Bulldog will be lucky if he manages to take the giant off his feet once.

Comparatively speaking, this is the case of a nobody challenging arguably the single greatest special attraction in wrestling history, not to mention a guy whose dominance was unrivaled in his day. The only reason that Andre wasn't a multi-time World Champion, or really even held very many titles in his career, is that virtually nobody in the eyes of the fans would be capable of taking said championships away from him.

Andre takes this in what will amount to little more than a squash match.

But andre was HUGE! Andre all the way!!

He just did better, done more, and still stands out as something impressive! Big bulldog fan, but unless he could pick him up and... One scoop slam? Is that it?? Bulldog could scoop that... Surely? Iv seen him pick stuff up loads of times! But... Naw! Andre would trash him!

Andre the Giant was one of the biggest stars of all time, and British Bulldog was a popular midcarder. Andre is stronger, more popular and has had more of an influence. There is nothing much else to say. Andre's just so much better.

The British Bulldog had a career which was very much parallel running and reminiscent of the late Ray Traylor. Proven mid-card material and a long serving exposing on television, but he could and would never be the one thing Andre couldn't even help but to entertain, a main event.

His career highlight is beating Bret Hart before Hart was even one of the top guys in the company for the IC championship, very much symbolic of his whole career. Andre's entire career was one big highlight, stamped with approval by his WM3 match which is a staple for those who claim to have any prior knowledge from wrestling, against the then Immortal and massively popular Hulk Hogan. That match probably drew over 90,000 of the exceeding 93,000 crowd at the Silverdome.

And don't try to go the pure wrestling route, it's well known that Andre was far more athletic in his former years delivering, on occasion, dropkicks from his arsenal of moves, which was probably just near the surface of a big box of tricks he picked up over his long career. A career within which he gained a good appreciation of storytelling and a knowledge of how to best use his increasingly limited movement, coupled with his unmatched size and strength to the utmost of their potential. This was demonstrated on numerous occasions.

People would come from all over to see Andre, and not just to see him, but to watch him work. People saw Bulldog, and then quickly forgot, but have seen so much of him that he's been etched in the back of their minds by sheer over-exposure. There's nothing Andre couldn't do better than the dog, it shouldn;t take you any time to think of the winner here.

I am seriously. SERIOUSLY tempted to pull the patriotic vote again and vote for bulldog. But it's Andre, it just wouldn't happen.

Bulldog went over Lugar? You guys are weird. Anyway, Andre, despite being a big circus freak, plows right through Bulldog. Even if this is the out of shape, drunk, physically beat up Andre that had to be babied through matches and shouldnt have been wrestling anymore.
I cant speak for his impact in France (supposedly huge) but in America the guy was a big deal, main eventing, hardly ever losing, being well loved by Millions, you know, that kind of thing that made you a big deal in the late 80's and probably any other time as well. Whereas outside of a few wrestling fans I am not sure if even the English themselves cared that much about Bulldog, who was a fine midcarder, but well out of his depth here, much the same as he was AGAINST LUGAR! You stupid *****!

A tag team specialist, being generous, versus perhaps the man at least co-responsible for the largest draw of all time. It still baffles me that Bulldog got past Luger.

There are very few squash matches I see happening in this round, but this is one of them. Bulldog is exactly the kind of guy that would be fed to Andre during his 15 years on top without losing. There simply is no justification here for voting for Bulldog. Andre was a once in a lifetime competitor that didn't lose for 15 years, while Bulldog was a guy who hung around the mid-card and tag team ranks, with less success then his partner in Dynamite Kid, or his best opponents in Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels.

Label Bulldog a power guy all you want. Put him past Luger. But to consider this as anything other then an absolute squash is rediculous.
