The following match takes place in the WCW Region under WCW Rules from Houston, TX. The ring entrance and ring are equal height.

#26. Alex Shelley

#39. D-Von Dudley

D-Von's claim to fame in the singles world was being Vince McMahon's spiritual advisor and bringing Batista down to the ring after he debuted from OCW. Aside from that, D-Von is strictly a tag-team wrestler, similar to Jim Neidhardt, in that he was also the lesser of the two members of the team.

Shelley is younger, more dynamic, and has shown equal ability as a singles competitor as well as a tag team competitor. D-Von will get a bit of offense in, but in the end, I'l take Shelley to win the match and move on.

How did Shelly draw a 26 seed? I'm convinced that half of the people that made lists have been watching wrestling for about a week now.

Anyway, D-Von wins for me. He's always been the tougher and stronger of the Dudleyz. Shelly is faster, but he's about half the size of D-Von. I'm not sure what D-Von would finish the match with though. Maybe he'd try for a 3-D and botch it, breaking Shelly's neck? Vote D-Von.

In an ECW ring, I could give this to Devon. In a WWE ring, I would give this to Devon. Shit, in a TNA ring, I would give this to Devon. But if there is one place that a Dudley would never prosper, it is W-C-fucking-W.

Shelley would use the shorter, tighter ring ropes to his advantage in an environment where he doesn't have a proven track record of losing. I've said it before and I'll say it again; he's Dean Malenko if Dean Malenko had charisma. Malenko was fairly successful in WCW, I believe, as would Shelley be. Especially against the fairly useless Devon Dudley.

I can't see D-von winning this one at all really. At the moment Shelley is presented as the stronger member of MCMG and D-Von certainly plays second fiddle to his brother.

I think D-Von would get some offense in, but Shelley's speed would ultimately overwhelm him.

Easily Shelley. Both are more commonly known as tag wrestlers but Shelley has had a good amount of success in singles competition. D-Von has had almost no success or experience whatsoever. Throw a few kicks out there and with Sabin neutralizing Bubba, this is a walk.

D-Von like Bubba hasn't proven themselves as decent singles wrestler but Shelley has. Shelley will use his speed to pick up the win.

I'd love to see this as a tag match, with both teams in their primes. D-Von is much worse as a singles wrestler than Bubba Ray, while Alex Shelley is a better singles wrestler than Chris Sabin. His speed will negate any strength advantage that D-Von has. Alex is also a far better wrestler, and that'll give him the edge after a longer-than-it-should-be match.

A battle of tag superstars. D'Von never proved himself as a singles star, where as Shelley has had a good run as one. His speed would prosper in a WCW ring and he'd be able to compensate for D'Von's strength. We'll see some good spots from Shelley and he'll end this thing with a little sliced bread #2 and head on to round 2.

I agree with the general consensous, two tag team wrestlers, but only one who is faster, more agile, and has had singles success. This along with the WCW ring will give Shelley the advantage in a close match.

Both are tag team wrestlers but what truly stands out for me is that D-Von has had a failed singles run & Shelley has actually had some success in singles competition as he is a former TNA X-Division Champion. This one will be close but Shelley utilizes his speed & wins the match with the Sliced Bread.

I'd be lying if I said that i was a fan of Alex Shelley's. The guy is another guy that gets by one words like "Potential" or "Underrated". Frankly I don't think either, but that's neither here nor there.

Alex Shelley doesn't win this match, D-Von Dudley loses this match, plain and simple. I love the Dudley Boyz, but both were atrocious to watch as singles wrestlers. Reverened D-Von was one of the worst things to happen to anyone anywhere, and plus it spawned Batista, so I can't possibly vote for D-Von.

I love The Dudleys, but I would be one of the first people to admit that there is a reason why D-Von and Bubba Ray have never been split up. Simply put, D-Von and Bubba Ray founder as singles competitors. Although Shelley is part of a tag team as well, his recent reign as the TNA X-Division Champion shows that he has the potential to break away from The Motor City Machine Guns in the future and hold his own.

Pick: Shelley
