Watching the New NITRO DVD

Only furthermore supports an idea I have had for quite some time.

They should release sort of "seasons of" compilations. What i mean is, a years worth of programming, Weekly tv shows, PPVs etc etc. Like say, in 2 month blocks

So for WCW it would be like 3 Nitros, 3 WCW Saturday night, PPV, etc etc etc. Kust all the programming for given months. Start back in the SNME 3 ppv a year days, all the way til like last year.

make it stupid expensive if you want. The people who would be interested would be the types who are more than willing to pay it.

I would love to have the option of watching all WCW programming from 1996 through 1998. Not sure the best way to format that kind of thing, but yeah, great idea.

I'm hoping when WWE finally unveils this network they've been talking about for years, they run something like this. Episodes of Nitro, maybe 3 per night (weeknights), in chronological order. PPV's on weekends. Something like that.

Meh, you just package it like TV shows with series. Boxed set, 4 - 6 dvds. Do it by year and volume, IE "1995 Vol.1" would be say, Jan and Feb. Or just do it by month, ie "January 1995" all the weekly shows, and the corresponding blowoff PPV

I would love for them to do something like that, but I'm not sure they will produce that many DVD's with no way of knowing how many people will actually purchase what they're selling. I don't think the channel they plan on providing will be all that expensive, per month, either.

Something I never got: we've all heard Bischoff talk about how Turner gave him two hours every monday night on TNT and thus Nitro was born. If that's the case and it came straight from Turner, why was it not until May that Nitro went to two hours?

Ya, Nash mock Arn Anderson it's really funny.

That wasn't funny at all. The man had to retire due to the injuries that Kevin Nash was mocking him on, it was disrespectful, and only served the purpose to fuel their own ego's. This is coming from a Nash fan. It was highly disgusting.

Do you get WWE Classics OnDemand? They have been running Nitro for a few years now; they appear to be alternating two weeks of a 3-hour Nitro (early 1998, I think) with two weeks of two 1-hour Nitros from when it started. They have also been running the TBS Saturday shows (they are up to the point where Sting made his first appearance).

As for the DVD set, I think the biggest question I have is: how do you have a history of WCW Nitro and not even mention Stacy Keibler?

I love the subtle things Kevin Nash did. It's funny when he half botches getting thrown out of the ring and he hurls a timekeeper's table on the way down for dramatic effect. Also when he fake-cries and tells a returning authority figure (I bought/watched this a couple of weeks ago) to "bite me".
