Was I the only one who loved Cole's "little box?"

I really liked the little box Michael Cole was in at the 3/14/11 Raw. I found it to be extremely funny and a brilliant idea to further his identity as a cowardly heel. He might over act sometimes but boy he knows how to get heat on him. I know some people think rather low of him and I did too for a while but he's kind of growing on me.

I think it fit his character. And I can definitely see why some people would like it or think it's funny. My issue is that they have taken his character too far and I'm hoping he gets his ass beat at WM and they tone him down a bit. It's gotten so annoying to the point that if he has his own segment on Raw, which he has the past couple weeks, I change the channel until it's over. Or if he goes on one of his rants. I refuse to give that man ratings. I thought Vickie Guerrero was annoying, but he definitely takes the cake. I can handle him on commentary, but not ranting or getting his own segments. If this continues I know I will eventually stop watching.

As much as I truly despise Michael Cole, last night, I realized I like how his character is portrayed on television. I thought the protection box was a nice touch. Jerry Lawler never had a WrestleMania moment. Some people might think the WWE tossed him a bone, by pairing him up with Cole. Quite the opposite.. By my argument, Michael Cole is the biggest heel in the WWE. Everyone will tune in, just to see him get his a$$ handed to him. And imagine if he can pull off a Shane McMahon performance from WM15? This match has the possibility of stealing the show or possibly considered a main event.

Cole and the Miz are the best things in WWE right now. Cole, as a friggin' announcer, is getting so much heat that people genuinely hate his guts. This hasn't happened in a long time. I love that they actually want a heel announcer again. It's great.

The "Cole Mine" was fantastic. I hope he uses it every week...

I thought the box was a good little prop. I didn't think much of it, just that it was a clever way to keep both Cole and Lawler on the show. Cole is definitely, within WWE parameters, "out of control"... but I mean that in a good way. But it has its limits.

My only question is why Cole stayed in the box after Lawler was carted off.

He only needed it to protect himself from the King, right?

It made me laugh when I first saw it. It showed just how obnoxious his character is that he feels the need to have his own personal area to do his job. It also made sense, because why would you sit next to your WrestleMania opponent on the build to that match. The box allows Michael Cole to stay constantly relevant during the build-up for the match, and to even build up the match more because the pair can go back and forth and back and forth like they did last night on commentary. I personally enjoyed it and I hope it stays until WrestleMania.

It's vital to keep them both on the announce team building uo to Mania, so yes, a great way of doing it. On a side note however, I'd have been annoyed if I had tickets directly behind it though.

I thought it was brilliant. I love how there were airholes drilled into the box. Nice touch even though there was no roof and therefore not needed.

I found that soo funny that he went to that level of shielding himself that he actually had a protective room around him.

I personally thought Michael Cole was the highlight of the night. I mean, he really knows how to get in our faces. The only annoying part about him, and I mean annoying as in a non-heel type of annoyance which I've noticed for quite a while, is that whenever Swagger beats down Lawler or JR in the ring, he always repeats himself saying "What d'you think now Lawler, What d'you think now? What d'you think Lawler?" Goes on for about a minute of repitition and it's annoying.

But no, brilliant idea and a great way to keep Lawler and Cole on the mic and to keep Cole's antics fresh.

The "Cole Mine" was amazing. I don't understand the legit hate for Cole, personally. He's the best heel the WWE has had in a long, long time. As for it being "over the top"; it's pro wrestling, everything is over the top, or should be if you want it to get over. I don't see any need for him to end or even tone down his heel persona after WM. I grew up with heel commentators (Ventura, Lawler, Heyman, Heenan, etc) and find it adds a lot to the quality of the programming.

Prior to this character, Cole was just annoying. Now, his greatest weakness has become his greatest asset. It's excellent work by everyone involved.

Yes, you are one of the few that liked it. We were expecting a roof and then somone to crash in and vreak it - could have been a better gig than it was.

If only his little box were sound proof from the inside out.

lol, jk

It was great to have him in his own little booth thing, the WWE is really playing out Michael Cole well, and in a way, Michael Cole and the Miz are pretty similar, starting up, they both took A LOT of shit, and in their minds they're pretty justified in the way they are now so...

Yeah the box was great, what the box did for Michael Cole was pretty great too.

"Have to admit i loved it but ideally it needed a little roof xD"

I actually had that thought myself but upon further thinking about the matter how would Michael Cole breathe?

I also want him to use it every week, hopefully next week in Pittsburgh because my gf got us tickets for our one year. So I will be there. Major brownie points. :P

I thought the Cole mine was genius. How ever I was thinking the whole time if I paid that much to sit ringside; how mad I would have been to sit behind that thing.

i loved the cole mine. when i noticed that there was no top to it i was hoping that lawler would throw something into it on him like a soda or a Beer like SCSA did last week. When lawler told him to go back to his cage i was laughing my ass off cause cole looks like a rat and it fit him just right. Ratatoule back to your cage.

That box alone makes me want to beat the shit out Cole. He drives me crazy.

I thought the "Cole Mine" was a brilliant touch, which added much to Cole's cowardly character and brought more heat to him. I thought the Cole segment on RAW with Brian Christopher and Jim Ross was one of the best seen on RAW in a while. What better way for Cole to get over as the cowardly heel than to have his trainer Jack Swagger beat the man he replaced, a man known to be one of The King's best friend, and is often considered being inferior to, Jim Ross?

Last night's segment and buildup with Cole's really got me wanting to see Lawler beat the shit out of him, which is how a wrestling company sells a Pay-per-View. I'm able to suspend my disbelief on this one and I find myself sometimes believing that the hate between these two really does exist.

Is Michael Cole annoying? Hell yeah. Is he overacting? Hell yeah. Do you want to see Lawler beat the living hell out of Cole at WrestleMania? Hell yeah! WWE's doing their job right then.

I thought that is was a hilarious touch to the Cole/Lawler feud. I personally hate Cole, but I can't wait for the Cole match, and the segment last night made Cole even more of a heel if that's possible. I love the build-up, and I love the Cole Mine.

cole and miz are best thing in wwe right now? LOL. more like the most annoying talentless ones on raw.
Miz just comes out week after week beeting up people from behind nand then claiming hes tough and im sitting there yelling YOU JUMPED HIM FROM BEHIND your not good.

Miz is so weak and cowardly and cole is just annoying as hell. Cole better get his ass beat so bad that jim ross replaces him

They are doing their jobs then. Miz's character is to be weak and cowardly by attacking people from behind. That's what heels do. Cole's job as a heel is to be annoying and to make you be annoyed by his actions so that when Lawler does finally get his hands on him he kicks his ass. By saying they are talentless has no basis, because they are doing their job perfectly. You might not like them (I don't), but I respect them because they are doing their job.

My only question is why Cole stayed in the box after Lawler was carted off.

He only needed it to protect himself from the King, right?

Only explanation I can think of is that he has formed a sexual bond with the "Cole Mine"... :wtf:

WWE is doing a great job with building his heat, it could garner a reaction rivalling Rock's or Cena's during the time when Cole gets beaten down then, hopefully, STUNNER-ED!

i hated it, it just makes him look like a pussy which he is. its a slap in the face to jerry the king. i'd rather see cole chase a chicken around like vince did back in 99

I want to see SCSA come out with the beer truck and start pumping beer in the Cole Mine and make it like a fih tank. That would be classic. Won;t happen anymore, but would be great

I get the idea of the "Coal Mine", but, there were a couple things wrong with the picture. Like for instance, no roof. If he wanted to, Lawler or anyone else could have thrown something over the roof, and have it land on Cole. Number two, what was the point of the big ass circular holes in there, if there is no roof?

To me, you can think whatever you want about it but, I just hated that, they finally have JR come back, only to get his ass kicked, then, have Cole put the Ankle Lock on him just irritated me even more. JR deserves better than that.

I was at the event last night in St Louis. When they brought it out and set it up the people that were sitting directly behind it got MAJORLY pissed. Cause they had kids and couldnt see. Security moved their seats and they actually sat next to me. I thought it was pretty funny cause of how pissed she got. And talk about an ugly woman too!!

Bitch be trippin!!!
