A lot of rumors are flying about that say Undertaker is coming to an end and will hang up his boots after he reaches the landmark 20-0 at Wrestlemania. I've been thinking in my mind; who is worthy? The man who "made" the Undertaker. Vince Mcmahon needs to be the top dog; he needs to be the man that has his stamp on everything. What if they run an angle where Vince can not stand the fact that The Undertaker is going to go out undefeated and overshadow his own legacy.

The ideas are there and it could be done very easily and it would pay-off big time. The most interesting concept that could possibly happen is the following.

HBK and HHH both have recent history with The Undertaker. It was just a few weeks before Wrestlemania when HBK wanted to Sweet Chin Music The Undertaker. The grudge is obviously still there between HBK and The Undertaker. HHH lost to The Undertaker at WM27 and called him out upon his return the following night. Everything seems set up for a continuation between the two.

What if we have the combined alliance of HHH, HBK, Stephanie Mcmahon, and Vince Mcmahon in a conspiracy type of stable that plans on ending the streak at Wrestlemania 28. I may be looking way too much into all of this, but I think it could be put together for a promising match that has millions of people buying the PPV to see the final resolution.

Please don't just integrate this thread with another topic that just has random posts and no real discussion. I feel like this concept deserves a thread on it's own. If the topic needs to be altered or if it needs to be reformatted in a differnent manner for it to stand alone as a thread it self; I will change it.

Thoughts or Comments? Do you think this could possibly happen? Let's remeber that WM27 pretty much acted as a giant stepping stone for WM28, concerning The Rock and John Cena, so why not for The Undertaker and this?

So you attempt to turn heel two legends who are totally over as faces currently, neither of whom has worked heel for at least a few years, bring back a character in Stephanie who won't have been on TV in over 3 years at that point, to have a 67 year old man as the Undertaker's final Wrestlemania opponent ever.

If you honestly think this is a good idea, I really don't know what to say to you. How about this: when has this kind of overbooked clusterfuck ever worked well? You must have graduated with honors from the Vince Russo school of writing shitty wrestling angles.

I like it. Just leave HHH and Michaels out. They dont need to be involved. But im sure it'll be HHH vs Taker again. Vince is old now.. Sure it wont be a great match if he were to perform.

I don't see this scenario being that likely.
Stephanie does have history with Undertaker... but in wrestling memory, it's long forgotten (Who can hold being sacrificed in the boiler room for the dark lord against a business friendship?). But HBK, is not going to actively compete again, he has too much respect for the business to pull a Ric Flair for a paycheck. HHH has a high chance of repeating as Taker's opponent. Last time Vince and the Dead Man were in a ring together was during Taker's biker gimmick in a Buried Alive? But again, wrestling rings have amnesia every 4 or 5 years, so 2002 is forgotten.
Taker's Legacy is marketable, so 20-0 T-shirts will be the hot sale item next year.
I don't think throwing a stable at Taker is worth it, he even has a handicap match on the record already (granted it was jobbercentric)

There's no way any UT match is going to sell Millions, his previous ones have headlined slightly over a million buys, but the matches themselves don't mean the entire card.

So - all in all, You have to have Steph not involved, HBK is retired, and only Ric Flair can break Kayfabe retirement. Vince is way too old to compete in ANY facet, I mean at least 12 years ago he could take some bumps, but at his age, even tagging in for a roll up isn't worth the danger.

So, all in all, you just made HHH Vs Undertaker, which is what most people are guessing it will be.

yeah i gotta respectfully disagree here. I like the idea of taker feuding with Vince but i dont think the match at mania 28 should be Vince Vs Taker. This just wouldn't sell because if Taker can defeat HHH and HBK both 2 times he would be able to mop the floor with Vince

This most definitely will not happen, I understand what you're thinking but I have to disagree. Fans would not go for it, it would not build well but most of all with something as huge and The Undertaker's Wrestemania streak it would be stupid to put a win over VKM who has a record of 0-5 at Mania. McMahon shouldnt wrestle at all let alone The Phenom of all people, I even thought the Hart match was a bad idea even though it sounded good on paper and the story was good. I would take almost anything over Taker-McMahon at Wrestlemania 28, thank goodness we dont have to worry about that.

Hmm. Wishful thinking on your part, I believe.

I am 99% sure that it will be Triple H and Taker next year. I can't see anyone else coming close to the feud. Taker won't be on TV until a few weeks before 'mania, IMO - so there won't be chance to build any history with anyone besides Triple H, as the history is already there. A simple video package will be able to create more interest than starting a fresh feud with anyone else. Not forgetting the fact that the McMahons haven't been involved in any storylines for a few years now. They are leaving it up to the 'superstars' and I say that's a good call. Gone are the days of the corporate conspiracies as everyone (including the kids) knows it's scripted, and they aren't even trying to pull the wool over our eyes any more.

I think Vince is a logical choice of opponent. What everybody forgets is this Taker we see now is not the same 1 of like a decade ago. His body is about de-dead (no pun). Vince has let everybody that has worked for him like Hogan, Michaels, Hart, His own Family, Lashley w/ Trump all beat him at Mania. We could rehash the Hogan-McMahon storyline form 2003 a lil w/ Vince saying WrestleMania is his baby a he wants to be the 1 who takes out the Taker. Vince says "I buried him twice and at WM the 3rd time it'll be a charm. And we'll do it in a Buried Alive match" 1st in WM history. Vince would be the safest bet for Taker at WM.

I think the storyline is good but I politely disagree that Taker should take on Vince at WM28. While reading this thread I'm trying to create my own storyline for Taker but I can't find any suitable wrestler that can make an impact with him at WM28. We always see HBK and Triple H as his opponent but they already had their chances and both of them had 2 chances, Sting is a good wrestler but there's no way he will work for WWE and I see Brock Lesnar as a good option as well but he will not go back.

For me any storyline or angle will do and giving out a wrestler that is respected and good enough to be his opponent will do as well but I wish that Taker will have his last Match as a Special Match like HIAC, Buried Alive, or Inferno Match.

I don't like this idea. Vince, Trips, Michaels, and Stephanie trying to team up against Taker? Why? The roster is FULL of guys who could all benefit from being Taker's final opponent. What about Sheamus or Barrett? Or even a veteran like Jericho? Randy Orton could get a rematch, Trips and Michaels did. Any of these options would be better because Vince needs to not be anywhere near Taker's final match. Trips and Michaels had their chances, let someone else have the opportunity to be the last streak victim.
