Vampiro and Pentagon Jr

Okay, I've done some research and come up empty handed, so I'm reaching out here. Does anyone know if there are any plans for a DVD set release of LU season 1?

I tend not to stream, so I've caught a few matches that El Rey releases on YouTube. I've been impressed each time, but Pentagon Jr vs Vampiro sold me. My only issue with the match was the big reveal of Pentagon's master, even Pentagon looked shocked. Still, the moment suggested to me that the storylines have a level of sophistication that I've been looking for, for years!

I would love to add such a DVD set to my collection.

Currently every episode is up on youtube in it's entirety, just search "Lucha Underground Full Episodes". That's how I watched it.

LU themselves are posting full episodes, some You Tuber named Kane Austin is posting them, LU is just not stopping him or taking them down, at least not at the moment.

Chances are they allow it because they want to but the network, Unimas in this case, doesn't let them. They do the same with the AAA TV show now that Televisa doesn't let them post the show.

It's been my favourite thing on tv for the past 10 months, and Ultima Lucha was a great way to end the season. I agree that the Texano v Blue Demon match was pretty pointless, but then Blue Demon absolutely sucks (easily been in the worst LU matches, thank goodness there was only 3 of them), and I can only assume the original plan was to be Texano v Chavo until Chavo got injured in his LU title match.

The main event was very good with a great move to finish it, the 7 way match was as good as expected, I really enjoyed El Patron v Mundo, and the three matches on the previous week's show were awesome.

Regarding the match this thread is specifically about, I found it quite hard to watch at times, but I will agree, unlike many death matches (for example the ludicrous Kawasaki Dream tournament which is so infamous), this one had both storytelling and emotion, but most of all, made sense - Pentagon Jr (who has been my favourite LU competitor since the turn of the year when he actually started to win matches) proving himself against a well-known hardcore style wrestler.

Please please please let there be a season 2!

Seeing how poorly Pentagon is booked in AAA makes me love this union so much more.

How's he been booked poorly in AAA? He's a double champion and has been rubbing shoulders with bigger stars for a year.

I read on the front page that Marty "the Moth" was originally planned to be Mil Muertes. That would have been a flop. Ricky Bandears played the character perfectly.

May have been influenced by how awful the cage match he was in was. Also based on how he is the biggest threat looming in LU makes him look even better than being a tag team champion.

Dude's a dual champion, had a chance to win a third and in the past year has headlined 3 of the last 4 PPV's AAA does against Myzteziz and Mysterio. The guy is on an amazing roll.

I can only imagine that cage match was forced by sponsors since it wasn't advertised as such.

Best part about Vampiro was his entrance. Best part about Pentagon Jr was everything.

I still enjoyed Puma vs Muertes over their match though. Great finish to the show.

I have even more respect for Vampiro now after hearing him on Stone Colds recent podcast! He talks more about this match.
