That surprise at the end with Pentagon Jr and Vampiro... :O

Did not expect in 2015 I would love a Vampiro match. Definitely didn't see that coming. Holy shit I'm still recovering.. smashing light bulbs, top rope landing on tacks, lots of blood, and catching on fire, then that ending... These are two crazy motherfuckers! How do you guys feel about this storyline?

This whole show has been fantastic tonight! Albert Patron/Johnny Mundo (w/ Melina) was great.. but Vampiro/Pentagon Jr was story telling at its finest.. that match was insane! but that ending..... was incredible.

Lucha Underground is some of the greatest entertainment on tv ~ the match & story line between Vampiro and Pentagon Jr. was absolutely epic, everybody that is a wrestling fan (not just a sports entertainment fan) needs to watch their match as well as mil muertes vs prince puma for the title, those boys put on one hell of a match as well ~ I love Lucha Underground

I just finished watching Ultima Lucha and I was very impressed from beginning to end. Puma vs. Muertes was pretty good too but the Vampiro/Pentagon Jr match was off the fucking hook.

SIDE NOTE: I was really digging the whole Dark Bishop look Vampiro had going on. I haven't seen him wrestle in a long time until about an hour ago but that was a great visual.

I totally agree. It was a super violent match, with a lot of spots I typically don't like, but I couldn't help but be into it.

I really enjoyes the ending of the show. I hope there is a season two

I think the ending to it all with the reveal was what really sold it for me, because going into it I was just expecting pentagon to whoop the shit out of Vamp and then Konnan be revealed as the master. But after that reveal and the outro (that outro is something special, i want to conceive my first born to it thats how magical it is) to sell Season 2 I can't wait to watch Pentagon just destroy everyone

Was amazing. The ultra violence could have been dialed back and the story would still have been so well told.

I dig the flying fuck out of the unholy Pope Vampiro too. The full regal garb, mitre, the Cruciger globus. Just awesome. Reminds me of Papa Emeritus II.

Yeah. It was fuckin' bad ass. One of the things I love most about LU is how much they play off death concepts. Mil Muertes, Vampiro, Pentagon Jr., etc.

The only match on Ultima Lucha that didn't really do anything for me was Blue Demon vs. Texano(sp?), other than I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of Ultima Lucha

I tend not to stream, so I've caught a few matches that El Rey releases on YouTube. I've been impressed each time, but Pentagon Jr vs Vampiro sold me. My only issue with the match was the big reveal of Pentagon's master, even Pentagon looked shocked. Still, the moment suggested to me that the storylines have a level of sophistication that I've been looking for, for years!

I would love to add such a DVD set to my collection.

From what I have read, they have plans to do a DVD release, but they want to secure everything for season two before they work on the DVD.
