USA - 1, Brazil - 0

Excellence of Execution
1:15 into the game, and the USA is already up a goal. This is the first game I've been able to watch from the USA, so this is great.

Though USA are ranked #1 for women's football so it makes sense.

For the life of me I don't understand the appeal of women's football. Women don't like football, I doubt that changes when it's women actually playing. The women involved aren't usually particularly attractive so men ought to be out the window. And the football itself by comparison is depressingly bad. I just honestly don't get it.

The US team are great, I've watched them a couple of times. The England team though are like me playing on a Sunday afternoon.

...is that you Andy Gray? ;)

I haven't kept track of the attendances, but from what I've seen the stadiums have looked reasonably filled. Seems to have been more exciting than the Copa America at the moment too. Also, the men's World Cup in South Africa was pretty atrocious.

The Copa America hasn't been that bad if you consider that most of the players for Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay etc haven't had a summer break since 2009, but one thing I will say about the CA is that it probably has seen the worst finishing in any football competition.

>Thinking anyone cares about women's soccer.

Oh Slyfox, you so crazy.

Women's football is better than that Scottish shite and neither would get on my television screen if there was a proper domestic league currently in progress.

Holy shit! What an awesome game!

Even after getting screwed on both of Brazil's goals, the Americans win the game. About 45 seconds away from being eliminated, and they win on penalty kicks.

Incredibly exciting game.

I kind of gave up on the World Cup after the men's game a few years ago when the USA was playing whoever eliminated them. There was a goal like 15 minutes in and the announcers said the game was over and there was absolutely no way the US could come back. Well ok, then why in the world should they even play?

The first one who missed a pen for us yesterday...I would.
