US Unemployment rate falls below 8%.

The point is that it is nowhere near as good as some are trying to make it.That 7.8% number was misleading and things are worse than it indicated.

Really? Because it looks like all those numbers are going down and are at their lowest points in a year. That sounds good to me.

Where did I say a decrease was a bad thing? I said things are worse than the 7.8% indicates...And they are....So...

This looks like a step in a the right direction to me:shrug:
Who said other wise?

It does. It's good to see how much better things are getting.
Really? Last time I checked which was last month our poverty rating is at record highs, household income is dropping and the number of people not making enough money to pay taxes is at near record highs. A decrease is a good thing, but it is hardly enough to get all excited over. This is pretty much a small step and we are far from a full recovery.

OMG!!! This is great! I posted the same numbers at another board, and the dude lost his damn mind! He literally raged! He called me conspiracy theorist and acted like I am some Fox News watching, Romney loving right wing conspiracy theorist! This is just too much!!

But hey, government numbers are just some Fox News made conspiracy designed to take down Obama right? :lmao:

Define the quality. I think the focus is just on the general number of jobs that are available.
A job is better than no job, but that doesn't make it a high quality one. One that offers decent pay, advancement opportunities. Also one that matches your experience and skill set. Would kinda suck to have a college degree and experience in manager types jobs only to be stuck with one well below it.

I know that as well. There's folks out there with Master's and Ph.D's without work. Hell it took me three years at a shitty call center before I finally got a job where I'm learning something new.
