Undertaker vs Chris Jericho, w/ Big Show

Pre-Show Stalwart
The long awaited match between these two is gonna be ruined by the Big Show. I wanted this match to be special, but now with a 7 foot monster in the way, this will end up being a average match.

Sorry, but I have no idea what you're bitching about. Jericho vs. Taker isn't going to be "ruined" by Show as Show rocked in a SmackDown match with Taker back in April. If anything, Jericho is being added to an already fantastic match. That said, Taker doesn't seem as though he's in any shape to go long, so these matches with multiple contenders for his belt are probably being set up to hide how little he can really handle being in the ring at this point.

Looking past all of that, I'm looking forward to seeing how this one plays out. While I think a ton of focus will be on the imploding relationship of Big Show and Jericho (classic WWE, breaking a tag team up way too soon), I think a shocker could be in the works with Jericho getting the belt and Taker chasing him into Wrestlemania in order to give people their "dream match." But Undertaker would still be the safest money if I felt like betting on this. Which I don't.

As usual, Big Show has no chance of actually winning the championship and will unfortunately be booked as an afterthought, continuing to be one of the most misused talents in recent WWE history.

Sorry Cocolifornication but I don't ever remember any match between Taker and Show being good. I don't understand why he has to be in this match. He is underused because he can't wrestle. His finisher is a punch for God's sake.

Which probably says more about your memory than their ability to put on a good match. Taker gave up a lot for Show in their match before Backlash, and Show came off of it looking great. Sure, he spent the next two months jobbing to John Cena, but for that night Taker made Show look like the force he's supposed to be.

I don't understand why he has to be in this match.
He's in this match because he's feuding with Jericho.

Define "wrestle" for me.

Yeah. An awesome looking knock-out right. Possibly the most realistic finisher in the WWE today. What the fuck do you want his finisher to be? Starship Pain?

Dude. Shut the hell up. You look like an ass insulting their memory, it's their opinion. And, lol ur so called opinion I COMPLETELY disagree with as well. Taker vs Show was SHIT.
Anyway, despite Show RUINING the match, it'll still be pretty decent.

I actually think this is going to be a good match. Show has been at his best since being teamed with Jericho. It looks it has put a little spark back in Big Show. Obviously JeriShow is going to work together for a majority of the match only for Taker to make the comeback and get the win. And that will put some tension in the JeriShow relationship. I don't think they will be breaking up at SS though. I think maybe Royal Rumble they break up and maybe they fight at WM26 with the tension building up from SS till then. I know most want to see Taker/Jericho or Edge/Jericho. I think the 2nd one isn't likely as we don't know how healthy Edge will be. Jericho/Taker however is the route I see them going.

Who really thinks it's a great idea for them to throw Jericho-Taker (one of the few top level matches they've never done) at us with a weak build at Survivor Series? If they're going to do that, they should at least do a decent job of building it up first. Personally, I think Taker getting himself stuck in the middle of the Jerishow break-up is the perfect way to not only stretch the feud out for a while, but take the work-load off of Taker. In no way is Big Show being in this match a bad thing. Once again, Jericho and Show make this match work, in terms of both ring work and story telling. Taker is the weak link here.

Hahaha, that seriously just made me laugh at the thought of Big Show actually doing Starship Pain. Anyway back to topic, I dont see how Big Show being in this match makes it bad, Big Show has been realy good as of late, actually shown he can pull of a pretty good match, he's been interesting and been made to look like a monster.

The Big Shows and The Undertaker may not have been the best match ever but they haven't been as bad as people make out and with the added Chris Jericho it will make this match very entertaining, maybe not as good as Raw's triple threat but I would blame that on Taker who hasn't been very good as of late in my opinion.

So putting three great workers together's not a good idea? Really? The only flaw in this is Showicho having the Tag Belts. They should drop them to a serviceable tag team that way there's some suspense of a possible title change. Show and Taker will have a great match and with Jericho added to the frey, it makes it an even BETTER match. Jericho's been on a huge roll the last six months and is a great draw. So many people want to see Jericho get his ass kicked, and they might get that wish at Survivor Series.

I can actually see a scenario play out where at Survivor Series, Undertaker retains the World Title causing an implosion between Jericho and The Big Show during the match. Jericho and Big Show could have a feud for a month or two where Jericho eventually wins it with Y2J coming out on top and making him look strong leading to The Rumble which Jericho wins.

This leads to the Undertaker vs. Jericho WM match, historic for two reasons it will the first time Taker and Jericho go one-on-one on PPV, and the first time Undertaker defends the World Title at WM.

Look even if Big Show Was jericho's manager in the match at WM 26 we have two possible endings .....

1. Big Shows Interferes after some ref controversy and delivers a knoctout punch to add suspense and he could help make people believe the streak could end etc.

2. Or My fav us that Jerishow argue and Show screws Y2J and taker gets a win but then at backlash taker vs Y2J and Y2J wins making it seem that without shows interference he would have won.

But thats just one guys opinion !

I wouldn't be surprised that if in the next few weeks, leading up to survivor series, kane gets somehow involved in the feud. And seen as jericho and show are tag team champions, I'm pretty sure that the brothers of destruction will reunite to probably take on the tag titles. Either that or kane will interupt the triple threat match at survivor series somehow allowing taker to pick up the win.

I know this is a little off topic, but speaking of Kane, did anyone else see how good he looked last night with Jericho?

He's been coasting for awhile and matches have been bland, but he looked like he was actually trying last night... Back to the real topic, I think if they can seperate the World Title from all of these guys, a tag team fued with Taker and Kane VS Jerishow could be easily the best tag fued we've seen in a long while.

What's with all the hate on Big Show anyway? Look at all the other guys his size in this business? Were any of them even as close to as good as he is? He might not go down as a great in-ring performer, but he can go, and is better than most.

This is one of the matches I'm looking forward to on this ppv. Chris Jericho vs Undertaker has always been a dream match for me. I feel that this could be match of the night if big show doesn't do much. He is a good big man wrestler but if wwe wants to make this match good or great they wouldn't use big show much in the match.

Also I see Undertaker dropping the title here to Big show.

EVERYONE needs to quit creaming themself over their dream match and how Big Show is screwing them out of the chance to see it happen. All you're going to do is ruin what should be a swell main event for yourself.

Why would Show being left out of the action make this match "great"? Show is just as good as any WWE main eventer and the real heat in this match will be between Show and Jerisho. Leaving Show on the outside for the majority of the match to let the "dream match" happen with limited build is stupid business and stupid storytelling. Let the Jerishow saga play out and do Jericho-Taker the proper way down the road.

I couldn't agree with you more. This is soooo typical WWE. Jericho and Show could have domintated the tag title scene for the next year or two and would have gotten over because of Show being the silent muscle & Jericho getting as much heat as he always does. But again, the WWE fucks up something that fans are really getting behind.

I also agree that Show is not ready to get the title. I wouldn't say he's one of the most misused talents, but I see your point. I don't see Taker losing the title because having Show and Jericho breaking up with one of them having the title seems too much (but so does breaking them up after only five months or so is as silly). They'll probably cost each other the title (i.e. Batista & Rey) and continue their implosion from there, with Taker picking up a sneaky win...

I really don't think we've seen the end of Jerishow, simply because there is nobody else to take the belts. For face teams all they have is Cryme Tyme and MVP/Henry, and neither has looked overly strong as of late. I think this is just them teasing a break up and adding a bit of tension, I wouldn't be surprised to see the two of them back on the same page soon.

What they really need to do is BREAK UP the tag team titles, put one on each show, for god's sake, the Miz and Morrison were the one's who unified them and they havent even been a tag team since like april.

there are some great rivalries they can instate with the belts, with straglers just waiting to be a tag team, some ive seen include

chris masters & chavo guerrero
golddust & tommy dreamer
big zeke & vlad
hart dynasty

i understand that y2j and show demand a certain amount of presitge as a tag team, and thus they have two championship, but if jerishow breaks up then then tag titles need to as well

This will still be a great match. This could be a preview at least of Wrestle Mania 26 between Taker and Y2J. Big Show isn't that bad of a talent and can hold hi sown against most superstars. This match won't be a all time great but it will be pretty solid no doubt.
