Ultimate Warrior passes away

I was giving what seems to always be the case. But as someone said earlier, it really doesn't matter. I'm glad I got to see him lose his shit one last time, though.

This stinks.

I'm no doctor but I don't know of many terminal diseases that leave you able to look perfectly fine, make a few speeches, endure WrestleMania and Raw in general not two days before you die.

I have to think there was an accident of some sort or the sudden onset of some kind of heart disease/aneurysm or the like. Whatever it was, absolutely tragic and shocking that it happened so soon after his induction into the Hall.

True. Cause no diseases can possibly hold into grind of the audiences' for him.

I read this from Vince:

- Vince McMahon tweeted the following about The Ultimate Warrior’s death:

“We are all so sad that the Ultimate Warrior has passed away. Our heart is with his wife Dana and his two daughters.”

Details are still unknown in regards to how Warrior passed away but word going around is that it was from natural causes."

My guess? Heart attack or stroke.... Heart attack is how 90% of these guys die from all the stress on the heart over the years - whether from the exertion or from that and "other things" like the drugs, steroids, and whatnot.

Warrior would not commit suicide!

I dunno about you guys, but on the HOF I kinda had the sense that when he was talking, he was exerting himself too much. Almost to the point where I felt it was possibly unhealthy. Then on Raw I really saw it. He appeared to have the movements of an elderly man. Almost fragile. I noticed his hands shaking when he pulled out the mask. Shaking the ropes seemed quite difficult for a man who has been very active in his weight lifting as little as 2 years ago ...from last time I checked (his YouTube vids). He was walking with difficulty as well.

I'm not sure of the cause of death or the reason behind his peculiar appearance the last few days, but I'd have to say it was probably a heart condition. More than likely due to his previous steroid use, and stress from his career (and all the good/bad that came with it).

I feel that he definitely was aware of this. His wife as well. The moment he mentioned her in his HOF speech, she immediately started crying. Maybe she was proud, but it seemed strange to me. I sensed something wrong there...like some sadness and happiness for him. Maybe he was saying his goodbyes throughout his speeches on Raw and HOF?

You always hear of situations where people complete something significant, and passing away soon after. It's a cliche almost and depicted in movies and books. Like where a person dies, but gets to go back as a ghost or something to complete their unfinished business.

I honestly believe he was sick, knew it, and getting to do one last run as the role that defined him was so much of a relief that he was able to enjoy one last night with his family, and pass on. That's the only good thing in this crummy situation. He was able to play the part for the video game commercials, get back in good graces with the WWE fam and make peace with everyone, make the DVD that allowed him to clear his name (which was a big burden for him for years) get in the HOF, get his old entrance at Mania 30, and become the Warrior again and say goodbye on Raw, then be with his family the next day.

RIP Warrior :(

I have no idea what to say.. He was just inducted Saturday into the HOF,made his appearance at WMXXX,and was on raw for the first time in 18 years.. He looked absolutely fine WTF happened?? I hope this is a joke i truly do.. He made a speech on Raw indicating every man's heart beats a final beat. IF you made a difference in someones life drawing your last breath your a success.. Now im wondering did he know something that we didn't?? This is truly a tragic day,no matter how you felt about him!! RIP Warrior and God bless your soul

Wow. I was all set to see him next month at a local convention.

He brought a lot of joy (and sometimes confusion) to a large audience with his colorful character. For his important role in wrestling history, he will be remembered and missed.

Tears, nostalgia-colored childhood memories, and condolences are never enough, but they're all I have to give. :(

I think it will come out he was sick and he hung on long enough to "leave" on his terms. RIP to a man and a gimmick which will truly never die.

this is crazy... i saw it trending on facebook, news reports everywhere, just crazy. the man looked just fine yesterday, i mean sure he didnt look great but he looked like he was doing better then hogan is honestly. i dont know how to feel at all, this is bewildering given the timing.

as i look at the tweets from the wrestling world though, im a bit iffy about Steph's. this is surely wishful thinking, i know, but what if he isnt actually dead? Steph's tweet seems to basically echo what warrior said last night on raw, what if it was his plan to 'kill' Warrior and change his name back? /:

maybe, just maybe, not many people were in on it and maybe THIS was his intention. to go on living low profile as he had been and never dealing with the business again. idk, im grasping at straws, im just hoping theres something here were not seeing.

I just listened to his promo on Raw. When he said "Every man's heart one day beats its final beat, his lungs breathe its final breath." And, "The spirit of the Ultimate Warrior will live on forever." Now, it sounds like he was trying to say goodbye. Why else would he need to be out there on Raw when he just gave his HoF speech just 48 hours prior.

I don't read anything into that at all, honestly. He always had a weird fascination with death/the afterlife/etc. Go watch some of his older promos and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Anyways, RIP to Warrior...I thought he was a hell of a guy and athlete. My condolences to his family. I sincerely hope it wasn't self-inflicted, but I won't believe it is until I have some concrete evidence. Still in shock...can't say anymore.

Could be anything and I'm not going to assume or speculate because it doesn't really matter. He's gone and this sucks. He was my favorite wrestler growing up and it's just terrible to see him gone suddenly. :( You have to feel for his family as well.

I was never much of an Ultimate Warrior fan, but this is surreal and very unexpected to say the least. My question is HOW? He looked mostly fine at his WM 30 appearances and had signed on to be WWE's ambassador to promote them. I kind of noticed he looked a bit pale on the appearances but nothing like death level kinda bad. It will be interesting to see what the official cause of death will be reported as. My two guesses would be heart attack because of all the heavy steroid usage or drug overdose. Either way, that is a sad ending to a HOF'ers life. I guess fans of the Warrior's can take solace in the fact that he lived long enough to somewhat mend his fences with WWE and get inducted into the WWE HOF. Most like Macho Man didn't live to see that day[when it eventually happens]. At least Warrior got to see WWE honoring him for his accomplishments while he was still alive.

Wade Keller ‏@thewadekeller 2m

TMZ reports that Warrior collapsed Tues @ 5:50 while walking to his car at an Arizona hotel and was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead

so it sounds like his heart failed or something else that could cause that sort of thing.

Fuck....

Thats how i feel now.

I was happy thinking that we maybe will have him showing up more frequently or having some kind of part-time-onscreen-role.

The only thing i hope is not find out some kind of benoit out of this.

Just for the sake of his legacy and his family, i hope this was his health giving up, and nothing else.

RIP Warrior, one of a kind, larger than life persona.

UPDATE: i just read that he collapsed while walking out of his car. So sad, and relief that it wasnt anything twisted.

I am deeply saddened. I honestly found out because I heard Twitter changed its format again and the first tweet I see is Hornswoggle saying how sad it is.

Anybody saying overdose or anything like that should surely know better. Sometimes the heart for whatever reason stops, you see videos of soccer players completely healthy dying on the field even though moments before they were making sprints left, right & center.

Even though he looked good the past weekend, sometimes the heart stops, it happens. You can suffer from a heart attack anytime. Him looking out of breath has more to do with his age and being unfit than any other thing IMO.

RIP Warrior.

Man this is fucked,

I don't get people saying he seemed fine,

I even tweeted about it yesterday that he looked out of breath during his speech.
I looked anything BUT fine during that segment.

TMZ just reported he collapsed while walking to his car, so it looks like a heart failure.

So sad, I hope the stress and the intensity lived during the past 3 days wasn't too much for him.

RIP

I got home from having a couple drinks with my friends for my birthday, and I notice the board room has a lot of new posts. Then I find out Warrior passed. Twenty minutes later and I'm still trying to process this. I shouldn't feel this down over a guy I never even met passing away, but he was just on TV not twenty four hours before. Its a shock.

Listening to his promo on RAW I have an eerie feeling that he knew his time was coming up. And now watching his HOF induction just saddens me

Such a sad loss

The Wrestling Syndrome claims another

This is just too much to process in the span of three days. First the Undertaker's streak dies and now the Warrior dies.

Here's a REALLY scary thing to think about. Bad things come in threes. What is the third and final death toll?

Really, with all the suicide talk? Really?

Everybody talking about his speech...did it sound like somebody who was about to die? Maybe. It also sounded like somebody who was in a WWE ring for the last time, regardless of how long he planned on living. Besides, he wouldn't be the first person to give an "eerie" speech that seemed to predict his death. MLK did the same thing, and we know he didn't commit suicide.

And everybody saying he looked fine...aside from the fact that he was losing his breath just from talking, how did Eddie Guerrero and Brian Pillman look before they died? You can't see the heart. And the number of young wrestlers who die due to heart problems probably outnumber the suicides 10-1.

Yeah, I'm sure he was happy to have closure with his WWE career...I'm guessing WWE took a backseat to his wife and daughters a long time ago.

Obviously I don't know how he died, but this assumption of suicide is asinine and disrespectful.

R.I.P. Warrior
