Well, this is possibly the worst news to get on a day off from Comet, but it looks like my week off next week will be a job-hunting one. Fucking dammit.

Cheers Naitch, I film weddings part-time so I might be able to get some stuff from the guy I do them for.
As for work, at the moment there wont be any redundancies but administrative agents are heading in to the stores tomorrow to start assessing things.
Today was surreal though as I got there at 10 and the store was closed until 1 for us to get rid of all the promotions. We then opened for under 2 hours before being told to close up and await an announcement.
Fucking Telegraph didn't help matters by saying we were having a fire sale.

Yeh, our store manager was already heading that direction before the news broke. He's made noises that he'll try and take as many of us as he can but can't promise anything.
A little ray of hope is that the talk about store closures seems to be centred on the stores that don't generate a lot of money, which isn't the case for my store but it may mean 1 store for Aberdeen rather than 2.
Hell of a week to be out of the loop.

I dunno what the fuck it is with bad news on my off days, but I just got a facebook message from a colleague telling me that Sunday is the final day for the store I work at.
The upside is that there is another store in Aberdeen who will take us fugees in.
