UFC 203: Miocic vs Overeem

On the bright side, getting owned in a fight is a powerful motivator. I'm not 100% sure that it'll motivate Punk at 38 to keep trying to beat 27 year olds who have years of experience on him.

I really, really can't imagine he ever fights on a UFC show again.

Also I love that Punk is acting like this trailblazer. Batista did the same thing, was smart enough to fight on a nothing show, and actually won. Punk was brave for trying but this was probably it for him at the top level as that was a squash.

I think that was the plan initially for him, but then Dana White offered him the shot in the UFC, and like Punk said, you'd be stupid to not take that opportunity.

It really was kind of a no lose situation. If he pulls a miracle and wins, it's the upset of the year. If he loses, "oh well. I'm brand new at this and I had the time of my life."

Travis caught a kick under his arm and kicked Fabricio's other leg to knock him down. Fabricio got up and took Travis down with a punch to the face.
