Two And A Half Men Finale - Your Thoughts?

So, Two And A Half Men has just come to an end after a 12 year run. Charlie Harper is revealed to still be alive in the finale, the whole episode we're lead to believe Sheen will finally reappear. His character is shown at the very end, but not his face. A piano suddenly crushes him, the camera pulls back to show Chuck Lorre say "Winning.", and a piano crushes him too.

Plenty of inside jokes, breaking the fourth wall, several past characters reappear, and some cameos (John Stamos, Christian Slater, Arnold Schwarzenegger).

Your thoughts on the finale if you watched it?

I enjoyed the finale. The show poked fun at itself and didn't take itself seriously, something which the haters should stop doing. The inside jokes, fourth wall breaking, and cameos from Stamos, Slater and Arnie were all funny. Loved the reappearances of all the past characters except for Zoe, she can fuck off, I never liked her. I'm surprised Jake showed up, I did not expect a cameo from him but it was great to see him back one last time. His scene with Walden and Alan was hilarious and the best part of the finale for me. Wonder why Herb didn't make a cameo, would rather have seen him instead of Zoe.

I expect a lot of hate for the ending but I liked the ending although I'm hugely disappointed that Charlie Sheen didn't make an appearance. It's a real shame Sheen and Lorre couldn't come to an agreement. Maybe they could've met halfway on the ending. Sheen shows up at the door, does the heartwarming speech then the pianos are dropped on both him and Lorre to close the show. On the vanity card after the end-credits, it said Sheen wanted to do a follow up sitcom called The Harpers starring both him and Jon Cryer, but I don't think anyone wants to see that, even someone like me who has been a fan of Two And A Half Men since it started back in 2003. Both Sheen and Cryer are a lot older now, it's time everyone moves on now to other things.

I'm gonna miss Two And A Half Men, I've been big fan of the show even though I hated all the seasons with Ashton Kutcher. The show has sucked since Charlie's departure and it probably should've ended after Sheen's firing. I've continued watching it but only because of Jon Cryer. Ever since Sheen left, the show had just turned into more sex and more Alan bashing. I haven't liked any of Walden and Alan's storylines and I haven't found Kutcher funny in his entire run on the show. He was a poor replacement for Charlie. So even though I'm gonna miss the show, I'm kinda glad it's ending at the same time because Two And A Half Men just hasn't been the same without Charlie. Sheen and Cryer were fantastic together and they had great chemistry with each other.

Farewell Two And A Half Men. You had a great run (during Sheen's era, not Kutcher's) and you guys went out with a bang. I grew up on this show during high school and part of me is sad to see it finally end. Thanks for playing a part in my life.

I wasn't particularly blown away by it. I really didn't like them breaking the fourth wall... talking to the camera, basically "shooting" on the inner workings if you will. They've never, ever done that before and Two and a Half Men is not that type of show. However, the one inside joke I did like was when they were discussing Jake. "He didn't start out that dumb." "Oh really what happened?" "Turns out it was funnier..." That cracked me up, because I always thought that was why they completely changed his character.

Jake didn't really seem the same to me (which makes sense because he's born again Christian I believe), and I found his part pretty odd. He's married with kids and lives in Japan? Huh? It all seemed just a bit TOO hokey for me. You mentioned you liked that they poked fun at themselves, but I thought the finale should have been a bit more serious, and really wrapped up the series instead of just being one big joke.

When it comes to Charlie Sheen making an appearance... the only times I legitimately thought he may make an appearance was after he escaped from Rose's "dungeon", and right at the end. But I kind of knew.... if Lorre had gotten Sheen, you could bet your ass that Charlie would have been in the entire episode, and the animated version of him didn't use his voice. It would have been pretty cool to see Walden and Charlie meet with Alan as the middle man.

All in all, I found it was a very funny show, but I would have liked a little bit more logical plotting. I can't say that I'm disappointed with how it ended though, as it gives enough closure and brought back almost every character that has ever had a decent sized role. Where was Melissa though?!

It was alright, but a lot of times show finales tend not to do the show justice. The jokes with regards to Charlie Sheen were 3 too many. It was a bad breakup but he was the person who was the foundation of that show, like it or not and the show owes a great deal to him. I do have to admit he has take some responsibility for the break up and the show was fading with him there in the last season (maybe two) he was there, he still deserves some credit and respect for the shows success. Ashton Kutcher couldn't fill his shoes sorry, but he did the best he could. I would have liked to have seen Sheen make an appearance and was disappointed it didn't happen.

Glad that Jake came back, it was great to see him.

An okay sendoff for a show that had spent 4 -5 years too long on the air, I'll miss the early stuff not the Ashton years.
