I was one of the first people that got into this book because I bought Twilight the first month it came out, and I warn you now, THE BOOK IS HORRIBLE. ALL of them are. I can't believe I ever wasted so much time reading and obsessing over this book with my friends.

When I saw the preview for this movie...I thought it looked like it would be the worst movie of all time. Worse than Thunderpants AND You Got Served...COMBINED.

It IS. I hate Twilight SO MUCH, it's not even funny. Actually, I hate that hack of a writer Stephanie Meyer more. The only good thing she ever dreamt of in that 12 year old love sick mind of hers was Jacob, that's it, and she managed to ruin that too.

My little sister reads these. It infuriates me, because the message is "don't have sex or you will get pregnant, have to keep it, and be very seriously ill. Sex before marriage is wrong, and it will HURT".
Also, you need a man to take care of you, and it's okay if he stalks you and watches you while you sleep, because without him you are nothing. If you lose your man, you will be depressed until you get him back.
If that weren't bad enough, it's basically erotica preaching against sex. How does that make sense?
Propaganda and hypocrisy are the only words. Terrible message for the young teenage audience.

I'm also genuinely curious: Why does the dude sparkle? What does that add to the book, and why is a man who sparkles ZOMG SEXY?

The WHOLE book is about how Bella feels unworthy to be with Edward, and the author does NOTHING to counter that, but worst of all, it's that she makes Bella into such a weak, whiny, damsel-in-distress, attention seaking, bitch by the fourth book that I can't even wrap my head around how anyone still likes her horrible character. It's okay for Bella to treat others like crap because she's Bella and she can do no wrong, but god forbid anyone point out her mistakes. She does that enough for herself right? "I'm too clumsy." "I'm too pale." "I'm not beautiful enough." "Why does everyone always have to talk about me?" SHUT UP ALREADY WOMAN.

I also didn't like how in the book, Stephanie puts out this message that family isn't as important as some random guy you meet and "fall in love with." Bella's all up and ready to become a vampire and leave her family behind, and fans supported this! Makes me sick. BLEH.

I hate Twilight.

IMO the worst are the "Edward-obsessed." You know the type- they think that no man in the world can measure up to Edward, that men HAVE to glitter to be sexy, and being cold and hard all the time (no not in the dirty way) is cool, and ALL they can talk about is how much THEY LOVE Edward.

I keep an imaginary knife with me at all times so I can slice my ears off when they begin speaking.
