The greatest ever ? Not by a long shot. One of the greatest ? Depends on what do you define as great and if you're making a list. If we're talking about the top ten. No. Top twenty. Maybe Maybe Not. Top fifty. Definitely. Triple H has had a successful career. A career that has been aided by his ability in the ring and on the mike; his ability to sell out arenas, ppvs and merchandise, his relationship with the family that owns the company he works for and how he used this relationship to get what he wanted for himself and his friends. Now you can believe whatever you want. If you honestly believe he didn't use that relationship and his ability to play politics to get to the top, you're a liar. Period. You're completely full of shit. His closeness to the family started before he married Stephanie and that paid dividends for him. The truth is his character isn't unique, more effective as a heel, and had the Rock been kept as champ after Austin's injury no one would've cared about HHH.
He's had 13 fucking title reigns and I couldn't tell you what was interesting about the last 10 of them. When people talk about him, they'll say he didn't carry the company on his back like Sammartino, Hogan, Bret, Austin, Rock and Cena did. He sold out venues and ppvs and merchandise but Austin, Rock sold a lot more. He has no real era to call his own and was never the greatest of the performers but among the greatest. Sort of the middle of the pack. Great yes, not the greatest.
