Total Pro kicked off their Winter Tour 2008 in style with a fast paced card that left fans in Tokyo wanting more.In the opening contest former TOTAL Tag champs Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams took on the Kondo Brothers, Haru and Yoto. The young Kondo brothers took the challenge of the british warriors head on. The Kondo brothers impressed with their high-flying style but were slowed down by the British style employed by Williams and McGuinness brutal striking. The Kondo brothers put on a brave fight but in the end, as Haru Kondo waited for McGuinness to turn around the legal man Williams snuck in and hit has trademark German Suplex with a bridge for the pin.

Next, We saw YAMA, TAMA and Medoka of HATE team up to take on The Briscoes and Kouta Takehiko. HATE pulled off all their dirty tricks and ended up picking up a win after YAMA blew his red mist into the fact of Kouta who then turned round into a Springboard Spinning Kick from Medoka for the 3 count.

Are TOTAL Tag Champs Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin came out and took on big man Jay Shinzaki and Ren Hiroshi in a non-title affair. Yet again, the tag champs impressed showcasing their awesome attacks and even more awesome double teams. The inexperienced duo of Jay and Ren had no chance. Sabin lifted up Jay up, Shelley hit a double foot stomp to the head of Jay and finally Sabin hit the cradle shock for the 1,2,3. Afterwards Williams and McGuinness came out and had a staredown with Shelley and Sabin. They then challenged The Guns to a title match on the Tour Finale! The Guns walked off not letting us in on their decsion.

After a 20 minute intermission, we came back to a TOTAL PRO World Junior Title match between champion Yuji Kondo and Sonjay Dutt. This was another great match that the crowd ate up. Dutt controlled much of the match as his friend and AZTECA team mate Kiyoshi cheered him on from ringside. During the match, Dutt went for his Sonjay Cutter a ton of times but each time Yuji managed to survive. Dutt began to tire during the match and it was shown through his sloppy hurricanrana that sent Yuji to the outside. After a brief moment he was back to fine form and hit a massive Tope to the outside. He threw Yuji back in the ring and went for a pin but only got a 2 count. Dutt was getting angry and again went for his Sonjay Cutter. It was a bad mistake - Yuji managed to elbow Dutt in the gut and hit a Russian leg sweep followed by a armbar. Dutt had no where to go - and he taps! After the match Kiyoshi gets in the ring and helps up Dutt. Dutt and Yuji shake hands and Kiyoshi says that he will one day beat Dutt for the gold. And he says that day will be soon!

Next Keith Lee took on Bison Kong. Lee dominated the entire match, destroying the AZTECA Powerhouse. Keith hit a Doctor Bomb followed by a Yakuza Kick for a simple 3 count. After the match Lee spotted the injured Tyson Tomko in the crowd. Lee left the ring and slapped the out of action star. Tomko did nothing as Lee left to a chorus of Boos.

And last but not least, Kurt Angle put his TOTAL Pro Heavyweight title on the line againist the samoan submission machine Samoa Joe. In what many fans thought to be TOTAL's finest match ever, we saw some insane moments such as Joe hitting a gravity-beating dive to the outside. Angle worked over Joe's ankles and when he had the chance, Joe's back. Joe gained control halfway through the match with a sickening elbow smash to angle that busted him wide open. Joe hit some sick kicks and then placed Angle on the top rope - and it was Muscle Buster time!Joe hit it and went for the pin and the crowd went crazy as Joe had won! But the referee then noticed Angles foot WAS underneath the ropes! Joe was celabrating with his belt as the ref tried to reason with him - but then Angle snook up on Joe - ANGLE SLAM!. The ref has no choice but to count to 3. Angle leaves yet again with his belt intact. Who can stop this man?

1 : Ruji Goto(W) and Toto Goto def TAMA(L) and Medoka(7:35 Frog Splash)
2 : Keith Lee def Ren Hiroshi(6:45 Running Powerbomb)
3 : Sonjay Dutt and Kiyoshi(W) def Yuji Kondo(L) and Yoto Kondo(13:56 Ace Of Spades)
4 : YAMA def Kouta Takehiko(8:49 YAMA YAMA Cutter)
5 : Doug Williams and Nigel McGuinness(W) def Jay(L) and Mark Briscoe(16:19 Lariat)
6 : TOTAL Pro World title Match : Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe ended in a time limit draw.

TOTAL Pro continued their Winter Tour today, with a card in Sapporo. The show opened with The Goto Brothers taking on TAMA and Medoka. The Goto Brothers, Ruji and Toto have not appeared in TOTAL for over 6 months, and many fans welcomed them back with open arms. Ruji and Toto looked in fine form and have not missed a beat in their time off. TAMA and Medoka also looked good and used their trademark dirty tricks to get ahead. However this would be their downfall. As Medoka held Ruji for TAMA to spit the red mist in his eyes, Ruji moved and TAMA spit the mist in Medoka's eyes! Toto superkicked Medoka out of the ring as Ruji climbed to the top rope and hit the frog splash for the win!

Next up, Keith Lee took on Ren Hiroshi. Hiroshi tried to use his speed to take down the big man for the first 4 minutes of the match, but Lee caught him in a massive bear hug that wore Hiroshi down. Lee then rammed Hiroshi into the turnbuckle before dropping him to the mat. Lee picked Hiroshi up and hit a running sitout powerbomb for a quick and easy win. Afterwards Tomko came out from backstage and told Lee and the crowd he will be back for the final show of the year(and tour) and that he and Lee will face each other!

After Lee went fuming to the back, AZTECA members Sonjay Dutt and Kiyoshi came out and they were soon followed by Yuji and Yoto Kondo with Haru tailing along. One of the best matches in the Junior Heavyweight divison ever, was seen in Sapporo. All 4 men went all out, wanting the win that may put them in line for a title shot. In the end Kiyoshi picked up the win by pinning Yuji after the Ace of Spades(vertabreaker). After the match Yuji revealed he was impressed by Kiyoshi and that he will grant him a title shot on the tour finale!

Next up YAMA took on Kouta Takehiko. YAMA dominated the entire match, with Kouta getting little if any offense. YAMA had the match won many times but decided not to go for the pin. In the end he hit his YAMA YAMA Cutter for the win. After the match Kouta got up and looked angry. The referee went over to him and told him to keep trying. Kouta then snapped and attacked the referee, hitting him with a Brainbuster. YAMA,who was leaving turned around and went back to the ring after seeing this. He then offered Kouta a place in HATE! Kouta shook hands with YAMA as the crowd booed.

The British Bad Boys, Doug Williams and Nigel McGuinness continued their fine form with a win over the Briscoe Brothers. McGuinness hit Jay with a massive high speed lariat for the win. After the match The Murder City Machine Guns came out and told Williams and Nigel that they would have their title shot at the Season Finale!

Before the main event we were told that on the next show we will see a new student from the TOTAL Dojo. The trainee came out to the crowd and told them he was Akira Takuma. Takuma is 6ft 5 and well built. Should be interesting.

And finally Samoa Joe came up short against Kurt Angle yet again. Joe seemed to have the match won a ton of times, one of which included a sick Samoan Drop from the top rope that shook the ring. However Angle got a lucky rope break from that. Apart from that spot every time Joe went for something Angle countered. In the end Joe hit his Muscle Buster but as he went for the cover the time limit went. Joe asked Angle for one more Chance after the match. Angle said no to Joe as he has proven he can beat him and needs a new challenge. Angle says in the next show he will issue a open challenge to anyone he hasn't beat!
