Top 10 time again

Getting Noticed By Management
It seems like people had fun with this post last time so now is a good time to bring it back again. In the tradition of the old school wrestling mags like Pro Wrestling Illustrated, list your current WWE top 10 singles wrestlers in order. This takes into account all real (health, injury) and storyline angles (suspension). As a starting point, let's use the day after Extreme Rules. I'll list mine, what are yours?

1. Brock Lesnar - Pure Beast and I enjoy every dominating performance he puts on and just wish he had a contract that let him do it more often
2. Roman Reigns - For similar reasons to Lesnar, I enjoy dominating physical powerhouses and I just wish that could be the one controlling the pace of his matches not the guy making the comeback
3. Seth Rollins - Best Highflyer WWE has had since Hardy and just needs to sort out a new finisher if Curb Stomp is really gone
4. Neville - Only new to the roster but looks like he will give Seth Rollins a great run for his money in terms of who will be the top highflyer of decade
5. Kallisto - Like Neville I have been incredibly impressed with his initial matches and will be in the same category as the above in terms of elite highflyers
6. Bray Wyatt - Exceptional Mic work backed up by a very good in ring style, needs his family back and a big win to truly help him reach the next level
7. Sheamus - Got a long list of power moves in his arsenal and just needs to find the character to climb the ranks
8. Kidd and Cesaro - Putting them in as a team because they compliment each others styles so well and despite the success they could and should have as singles competitors I hope they stay together for a while
9. Dolph Ziggler - Best seller in WWE with good offence as well, deserves more but 2 concussions in a short space would scare me off as well
10. Daniel Bryan - Excellent talent and the only reason he is this low is because of how annoying the YES chants have gotten

1, Seth Rollins, Being the world champion should place you at the top of the list.
2, Daniel Bryan, As he is the current intercontintel champion
3, John Cena, As the current US champion.
4, Brock Lesnar, Since he was never pinned for the world title
5, Roman Reigns, Previous number 1 contender to world title
6, Randy Orton
7, Dolph Ziggler
8, Bray Wyatt
9, Dean Ambrose
10, Big Show

This isn't my personal top 10 of favourites this is roughly who I percieve to in order be the top 10 full time superstars in the WWE right now.
I only included one part timer Brock as he was the champion and never pinned only just last month which has to count for some placing on the list.

List of what I think are the Current Top 10 Superstars in the WWE:-

1. Brock Lesnar
2. John Cena
3. Randy Orton
4. Daniel Bryan
5. Seth Rollins
6. Roman Reigns
7. the Big Show
8. Bray Wyatt
9. Sheamus
10. Kane

In terms of booking, the Top 3 will always get preference and are thus, far and away ahead of the rest.

Daniel Bryan doesn't get as much protection booking wise as those 3 do, but his high level of overness closes the gap enough to get him this high on the list.

Rollins and Reigns are practically mirroring each other's progress as the next gen Top Face/Heel combination and both are starting to become constants around the Main Event scene as well.

Big Show is constantly booked very strongly as a Heel and thus, he gets high on the list.

Bray Wyatt and Sheamus will be contentious picks in my Top 10, but I feel that booking wise, they both are booked to look better than the majority of their opponents regardless of if they win/lose their actual matches.

Kane rounds it off, just managing to shade Rusev as the former seems to have quite a few forays with the top talents on the roster.

Cheers.

1) Seth Rollins - the only heel true main eventer is here to stay no matter what, when you have alot of faces and very few heels, it all become about these few heels, and there is only 1 of them who is in title picture (and currently the champ) - Seth Rollins.
2) Brock Lesnar - whenever Brock is coming back, there always an instant big match feel, very few guys on the roster (or should i say WM season part-time workers?) can do the same, add here his total domination in matches and more dates than guys like Taker (those WM season part-timers) and you get yourself a second place.
3) John Cena - no matter the feud, no matter win or lose, WWE's posterboy is always booked stronger than his opponent, his current position should not fool you, the moment kids starts to buy less merch and watch less WWE, Cena will become the WWE champ again
4) Triple H - the man with the absolute control and power and very tough to beat in the ring, his matches as rare as Brock Lesnar's and Brock easily is bigger, better selling attraction, but HHH is still standing on the very top of WWE rankings
5) Roman Reigns - the new golden boy, the guy who is destined to become new WWE champ at some point, not only he booked strong, he also showing some progress in matches quality and crowd reaction, watch him win the second RR match in a row or at least MitB.
6) Daniel Bryan - even injured and out of action DBry still the guy fans wants to see in action, his injury track record is not good, but i highly doubt WWE will not book him strong enough to make some money.
7) Big Show - used as a stepping stone to Seth Rollins, Big Show will have alot of work to do and continue to be dominant enough to look like a threat.
8) Randy Orton - and now we get to the flavor of the month himself Randy Orton, sure he is in title hunt right now, but he is only here to make Seth look stronger, he will continue to be one of the top stars for sure, but he will not get the title.
9) The Rock - he is like Brock Lesnar in special attraction and big match feel, he is well known to any casual and he also can cut great promos himself, the only downside, Dwayne is very rare on WWE programming these days
10) Dean Ambrose - he lost, lost, lost and lost again, but fans still behind him and he is still more popular than many other current WWE full time talents, i can see him having his big moment down the line.

Honorable mentions - Undertaker, Bray Wyatt, Neville, kevin Owens

1. Seth Rollins - He's champ and he plays his gimmick almost to perfection
2. Brock Lesnar - Legit BMF, 'nuff said
3. John Cena - Top if his game for over a decade, respect for him
4. Bray Wyatt - He's the guy we wait to see and he is the perfect face of evil
5. Rusev - BMF, and practically lives his gimmick
6. Randy Orton - Longevity, Ruthlessness, and awesome finisher
7. Daniel Bryan - Injuries have hurt his ranking in my eyes
8. Roman Reigns - He's better than smarks say he is
9. HHH - When he goes, its always a great show, and NXT looks great
10. Taker - Even at once a year, he still makes the list, Aura, History, Greatness

Honorable mention to Kane and Shaemus
Kane is a bad ass and needs to be set free from the authority and wreck shop on Raw
Shaemus - Good talent, good gimmick, if you don't like it, you can Kiss me Arse.

Supposed to list perceived Top 10 or personal Top 10? I'll go with personal.

1. Dean Ambrose: Have followed this guy for years and I think he's one of the most complete superstars on the roster. I think he's ready to explode and make some great TV with the main eventers.

2. Bray Wyatt: Guy is the most unique and innovative character in years. Some can't stand his promo style but I can't get enough of it. Whether you like him or hate him, Bray Wyatt is not far from wrestling fans lips.

3. Seth Rollins: Complete package. One of the best in the ring, on the mic, and at doing the little things, which are arguably the most important aspects.

4. Sheamus: How can somebody not like this guy? Even when he was stale as a year old piece of bread, I couldn't get enough of him in the ring. Now that he's a massive heel, people are beginning to realize how great he is. Really solid pro-wrestler.

5. Brock Lesnar: Would easily be #1 on this list if he were around more. Can't help but to get up when his music hits. Probably the only guy that can get my adrenaline going nowadays.

6. Daniel Bryan: Who didn't get behind DB's miracle Wrestlemania run? He literally overcame all the odds to become the 2nd ever WWEWHC. Crazy. Just a shame we'll never know what could have been.

7. John Cena: Say what you want, but the man has carried the business on his back for the last 10 years or so. Call me a traditionalist or what not, but I respect the hell out of John Cena.

8. Rusev: At first I thought he was just another one-dimensional, monster foreign heel that we've seen over and over again, but Rusev has proved himself. He's gotten exponentially better on the mic and in the ring. I'd go as far as saying that Rusev has shown the most improvement out of anybody on the roster in this last year.

9. Luke Harper: I love this guy, and if he were a little younger he'd be right up in the main event picture. Harper has the poise of a 20 year veteran.

10. BNB: I haven't lost hope just yet. Another really solid worker and somebody who would occupy a much higher position in the WWE had injuries not derailed his momentum time and again.

This is my list, you may not agree, but we can't all be right :)

1. Seth Rollins - The current WWEWHChampion and one of my favourite performers since the days of Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. I enjoy how innovative he can be, and he makes me mark out at least once an month (mainly because I only watch PPVs).
2. Dolph Ziggler - A solid worker, amazing seller and almost impervious to some of the bumps he takes. We'll ignore the fact that he has had those concussions.
3. Triple H - One of my all time favourite wrestlers, and someone that always works hard both in front of the camera and behind it. The day Vince passes the torch will be a good, nay great, one, if NXT is anything to go by.
4. Bray Wyatt - Half the time his promos make no sense, but that's some good bullsh!t, always entertaining, and one of the more complete characters of the current roster.
5. Dean Ambrose - I've had my eye on Dean Ambrose all the way back when I heard of this creative genius and dark as f@ck guy named John Moxley, in the indies. One of the few current wrestlers that would fit in during the attitude era, I just wish he didn't have the weight of the PG Era hanging over his head.
6. Daniel Bryan - Was brilliant, both in and out of the ring, but now, not so much. He has me in the palm of his hand whenever he's in the ring, I just hope that he can get back to that amazing wrestler he was before last year.
7. Brock Lesnar - A legit Bad A$$, 'nuff said. Would be higher on my list if it wasn't for his schedule.
8. Randy Orton - This is a bit of a forced had, my girlfriend said I better put Orton as he's gorgeous, personally, I would have left him off as an honourable mention.
9. Paige - The only female wrestler worth my £9.99 a month, plus, she's from up the road from me.
10. The Rock - Makes the arena erupt everytime his music hits, amazing to hear speak.

Honourable Mentions: Undertaker, John Cena

This is my list of personal favorites listed below:

1) Dean Ambrose - I think he's very talented not just because he's a big guy but he has a hardcore side to him much like the real hardcore players of old. He's not afraid to put himself in harms way and go off the top rope.
2) Daniel Bryan - Really charismatic and definitely a fan favorite. Also probably has one of the highest sportsmanship levels I have ever seen.
3) Randy Orton - He has been on fire with his ability to be promoted kind of reminds me of the rock in a lot of ways except a much more serious tone.
4) Dolph Ziggler - He has a lot of talent and I would like to see more wrestlers that are as agile as him. Though I don't agree with the Sheamus Ziggler feud I still think Ziggler is an amazing wrestler.
5) Bray Wyatt - I know trying to take over as kind of like an alternative of a mix between the Undertaker/Mick Foley. I don't think he has been given the right opportunities. This man belongs in the WWE of old where the hardcore division/title had some pretty crazy people in it.
6) Brock Lesnar - I kind of feel that the only reason he is on here is because honestly he is so dominant in his matches. Personally I think the WWE only uses him for his sheer size and body than for his marketability. In my mind he is no Goldberg even though that is what I believe WWE wants him to be.
7) John Cena - I like John Cena but every week I just feel like the WWE just doesn't know what to do with him when he's not feuding over the WWE title. Honestly the real face of the franchise shouldn't be utilized just to sell merchandise and spruce up hollowed titles.
8) Ryback - This man is awesome and in a lot of ways should be above both Cena and Lesnar. His energy and persona are great and though he is kind of like a Goldberg he definitely has his own style.
9) Roman Reigns - I like him and think he is very talented and has a lot of energy but I kind of feel like there is something missing. He's a very serious person and doesn't have a great sense of humor. On the other hand he's a badass and kicks ass when necessary. The Lesnar Reigns match at Wrestlemania was definitely enjoyable.
10) Seth Rollins - Rollins is pretty awesome when you think about it he has tremendous talent and serves his purpose of being a weasel. The question is when you want him to return to being a decent face what do you do then.

Being as most everyone else seem to be doing their lists in terms of who the WWE or casual fans perceive, I'll just list off my top 10 and then do how I view the WWE top 10 to be.

1. Undertaker- I'm hesitant to put him on here being as he's basically done(once a year) but I mean, he's my favorite! Still puts on a good match, why not?

2. Seth Rollins- If someone would have told me that Seth was my favorite active competitor a year ago, I would have laughed at them straight up. But Rollins has held his own very well, aside from a few flubs here and there(John, John, John promo stands out), he's been one of the only newer faces I think will be a big deal for years to come. Plus his moveset is incredible, every match of his he pulls out a new move.

3. Triple H- He is the game and that's all the justification this needs

4. The Miz- very underrated guy I think, just about every guy he tags with gets bigger because of him. He brings prestige to mid card titles and is almost always doing something to make me think, this piece of shit. Mizfit for life

5. Dean Ambrose- While he hasn't been super entertaining as of late, I know Dean has it in him to be a huge entertainer. During his feud with Seth Rollins he was one of the highlights every week, if he came out looking better in the feud maybe he'd be higher now

6. Ryback- Sine he returned from his injury in October he's skyrocketed up my list personally. Who could forget his promo about why he wrestles or the time he told Kane "you forgot your nuts." Shame he hasn't done much of importance since

7. Bray Wyatt- I'm hesitant to put him on here but he does have the most unique gimmick in WWE today.

8. Paige- When she debuted I thought she was perfect. Cute girl who can actually wrestle and is British. Sadly her career seems to have already peaked(I mean she's what a 3 time divas champ now?) but she's still fun to see on my TV.

9. Daniel Bryan- While I'm not really a fan of his per se, and his fans annoy me at times(Royal Rumble 2014 and 2015 for instance) it's crazy to see how over he is, he ranks up here for me just on that. His music hits and the fans collectively lose their minds

10. Cody Rhodes/Stardust- Like Dean he hasn't been super entertaining recently but I truly believe that Cody is an unsung hero of the locker room. Who wouldn't wanna work with him? He puts on a good match and quite a bit of the time has a good gimmick, Stardust is just losing steam I think

Now when I look at the WWE top 10, based on how they are booking people or have been

1. Cena...like come on, they worship Cena. Remember when he got beat at Summerslam so they fed the Wyatt's to him? Then the Wyatts had to break up because they lost all of their steam.

2. Orton- Yes it's still Orton, he is still the WWE's go to guy. While he has been over exposed he has been able to maintain some love from the fans by flipping from face to heel, actually putting on good matches regularly and putting guys over, 3 things Cena doesn't.

3. Rollins- He has been given the true monster push since last year and he's deserved it, but definitely high on the WWE's love list

4. The Miz- He's won how many titles since coming back around June last year? 3? 4 maybe? He had a storyline the whole time: feud with Ziggler, feud with Usos and feud with Mizdow. The WWE loves the Miz

5. Lesnar- No I didn't forget about Lesnar, while he has had strong booking(debatable the strongest booking in decades) he has had so much time off that a lot of the time, he loses that steam. The WWE loves using him but remember Night Of Champions when suddenly he couldn't beat Cena. Again, booked well but gets booked stupid also

6. Nikki Bella- She is the queen of the divas division right now, is anyone else even close? They push her hard and after what, 8 years in the company maybe she deserves it

7. Usos- I wanna say that they won one of the highest percentage of times in 2014, like if they were on your tv they won 4 out of 5 times or something crazy like that. These are the WWE's chosen ones for the tag divison, deal with it

8. Daniel Bryan- He really hasn't been booked well in like a year, the WWE doesn't seem to care all that much about the guy being as they returned him before the Rumble so he could lose the Rumble in a quick stupid fashion. Then fast forward and he's fighting in a ladder match for the IC title that has very little prestige, basically it's a consolation prize to shut his fans up

9. Roman Reigns- How haven't they screwed up his push? Dare I say the WWE almost is doing as bad as possible to get him over more! He wins the Rumble and the fans crap on it(like we figured they would), they feud him with the number 1 face in Daniel Bryan, then Big Show the vacuum. Then we can slide him to feud against Kane. If ADR hadn't left I'm pretty sure he'd be next. Guys who barely get any reaction are his opponents. Might as well feud him with Ryder, Rose and Slater at this point

10. Bray Wyatt- Well they gave him Cena at 30 and Taker at 31 so they must think highly of him, yet he lost both matches. Bray wins a lot at PPV, yet for some reason is feuding with Ryback now. I like Ryback but huge step back WWE

There are 2 reasons havent they completely screwed up his push

1. Talent, he got put in a terrible position and through some high level matches earned the respect of some of his doubters and is able to move on with the fan balance alot more in his favour than after the Rumble

2. WWE's commitment, despite awful decision made by WWE his push is not dead because WWE never lost faith in him despite the crowd reaction and kept him in the spot they wanted him in when for others they would be feuding with the likes of Ryder by now if they got his reaction post Rumble

While I do completely agree with you on number 2, number one has nothing to do with the WWE themselves. He is earning his spot through the hard fought matches that are better than people expected them to be.

But about them being committed to him, 100% right! Ryder got what 2 months of push? Reigns has had basically a year worth of solid push. Ziggler gets a minipush and they lose interest. So you are definitely right there

1.Daniel Bryan- his move set is a very high paced, exciting move set and I have been a huge fan of Brian Danielson since his early days in Ring Of Honor. Furthermore he has a lot of charisma. In terms of mic skills he isn't the best but his wrestling ability more than makes up for that. Unfortunately, his career seems to be nearing its end as he is out on injury again which is really heartbreaking. I really hope his match against Sheamus on Smackdown wasn't the last time we see him wrestle. If he is close to the end of his career I think the most befitting retirement is one last hoo-rah at the grandest stage of them all.

2. Brock Lesnar-Arguably one of the best powerhouses in the history of the WWE. He has done nothing but deliver top quality matches whenever he steps into the squared circle. He is a special attraction who always delivers. What makes his act so much better is having Paul Heyman (probably the best speaker in the history of WWE). Looking forward to their return later on in the Summer.

3.Seth Rollins- The current WWE Champ and the undisputed future of the WWE. His in ring ability is phenomenal and his mic skills are pretty amassing as well. The only thing holding him back from being one of the top heels of all time is how creative have handled him as Champ. I mean, it would be nice if he was a badass heel who could back up what he said on the mic or win with hellish tactics which does not include J&J, Kane, Big Show, Doink the Clown, Abdullah the Butcher, Perry Saturn getting involved and helping him out! :lmao: I hope at Payback nobody interferes and he wins legit. But knowing creative that is unlikely to happen.

4.Dean Ambrose- the Lunatic Fringe is one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE Universe. So popular, we assumed WWE were going to take a risk and have him in the Royal Rumble this year. Unfortunately, the opposite happened and he was inserted into a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship featuring a whole sea of other competitors. Moreover, it seems creative spend less time considering how to handle Ambrose than they do trying to think ways of raising Roman Reigns. Nonetheless, Ambrose is probably the best wrestler on the mic aside from maybe Orton and Cena. Moreover, his brawler move set is very enjoyable and very captivating as well as his character. Hopefully his insertion in the main event of Payback shows an ascent in the right direction rather than a mere temporary spot whilst they wait for Summerslam to approach. I, personally, would love to seem him win Money in the Bank!

5. Dolph Ziggler- good on the mic, good in the ring. Someone who should be one of the top guys in the WWE but unfortunately he was victim of the plague that goes by the name of 'creative'. I hope he finally becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champion somewhere down the line but it seems like he is stuck in Midgard limbo. But nonetheless, his heart, determination and passion as well as technical ability is why Dolph Ziggler is one of the top guys in WWE.

6. Randy Orton- I really do like Randy Orton. His in ring work is top notch, his mic skills have evolved and become a lot better over the years to the point where he can be considered one of the best. Ever since his recent face turn, it seems as though his character has gained even more popularity than ever before and even the IWC in recent times have found it difficult to find flaws in his current run. I hope they keep booking Orton in this way, as the badass in which his character is.

7. Bray Wyatt- Undoubtedly one of the best talkers in WWE. His character is a very intriguing and entertaining one and his feud with some of the top stars have been good. The only problems with Bray Wyatt, are that his promos, despite being eloquently spoken, can be a bit repetitive and boring especially, when its on the titantron and we sit and listen to what seems to be the same video they show before. Other than that I love the Bray Wyatt character.

8. The Brass Ring Club (Kidd & Cesaro)- I know these are two separate superstars but I really do like them. Individually they wouldn't make this list but as a tag team they are very exciting in the ring. Furthermore, Tyson Kidd more than fills in for Cesaro's only flaw which is his charisma and mic skills as together they help each other out and this makes them the most entertaining tag team in the WWE right now (even more than the Usos). I hope they stay a tag team for a while because with there help the tag team division could ascend closer to the heights of the 2000s with the Hardys, Dudleys, and E&C.

9. John Cena- Despite maintaining the same character for a decade now which has become stale, you cannot argue his mic skills are one of the best. He has great charisma and he's finally working on new in ring moves such as the springboard stunner. He's lower down because until he truly has a character change via a heel turn, I think its become a case of same old.. you know.

10. Roman Reigns- Billed as the future John Cena, I think Roman Reigns is judged slightly harshly. I think he has the potential to be the top dog and I respect that he has worked his ass off to get where he is today. His in ring ability has developed over the year and he has pulled off some good matches. However, these matches that have stood out were against D-Bry and Brock Lesnar (coincidentally number 1 and 2) and it seems that they carried the matches. Reigns is low on my list because of one things. His mic skills. If he is to be the next John Cena then this is one quality of John's that he needs to work on.

But yeah that's my top 10. I kind of BS'd a lot and I doubt you're gonna have the patience to read all of it but I still gained satisfaction out of writing it.

1. Seth Rollins: on a roll as that guy who generates so much heat and the champ at the moment.
2. John cena: current U.S. Champ and being built as consistent with a title match every week.
3. Dean ambrose: finally being made look strong has the momentum going into payback
4. Roman reigns: going to be in main event picture for the foreseeable future
5. Randy orton: placed lower as he's bein moved out of main event imo
6. Kane: every week playing an important roll and gets a lot of TV time
7. Neville: the main person I look forward to watching every week
8. Kalisto: same reason as Neville
9. Dolphins ziggler : ever present in the upper mid card big among wwe fans
10. Bray wyatt: one of my favourites promos are the best I've seen in a long time and can go with just about anyone in the ring

Seth Rollins: I'm really happy to see him on top as WWE champion and hope his career continues upward

Dean Ambrose: In my opinion Dean Ambrose is one of the underdogs in WWE today. Hopefully we'll see him get pushed in successful feuds in the near future

Cesaro: What can I say about him that hasn't been said? Like Ambrose he's a talented performer who needs to be pushed.

Dolph Ziggler: I'm a fan of his and he has a lot of great matches I enjoy watching.

The Miz: Don't shot! I like the Miz. The cocky heel who's perfect where he's at in the midcard. If they could put him in good feuds with top card performers, then I wouldn't mind seeing him WWE champion again.

Daniel Bryan: YES!!

John Cena: I'm proud that Cena is doing great as the United States champion. This is the way to book Cena and make him look like a million bucks.

Cody Rhodes: I'm a fan of Cody and think the future has a lot for him if he plays his cards right, avoids injuries, and backstage politics is good for him. The Stardust gimmick is mostly whack for me. When he teamed with Goldust is was fun for awhile. But fell flat quickly. Hopefully he'll feud with Goldust when he returns soon.

Wade Barrett: Barrett is not my favorite performer today, and the injuries suck! However, I love his character and he has charisma.

Roman Reigns: I hate to say this, but I like Reigns. The problem I have is WWE wants to force him on the audience; instead of allowing him to develop naturally. Allow him to develop naturally and watch him have a legacy.
