TNAWrestling.com: What would you change?

SORRY! About you damn luck!

As far as wrestling company websites are concerned probably everybody will tell you that WWE.com is the better one, after every show they upload pictures and also videos from the shows and the main-page has a very good look.

But I think that TNAWrestling.com is very good, at least when you think about it, WWE doesn't have a segment like TNA Today that brings something new in every edition with JB.

Also, they use Twitter and Facebook as platforms to interact with the fans, but there is something missing, if you look at their championship history page you will see that there are many things outdated and that is something that should not happen at all.

In that page they say that AJ Styles is the World HeavyWeight Champion, Kazarian, X-Division Champion and Morgan/Hernandez the tag champs, that looks incredibly bad for a big company, I know that they update their champions in their roster page but if you want to know more about the championship there is nothing new since September.

Good Things:

  • TNA Today
  • Before the Bell and other video promos
  • YouTube videos from iMPACT!
  • Interaction with Facebook and Twitter

Bad Things:

  • Lacks information about championships history
  • Superstars Profiles pages don't have much info about the wrestlers
  • Cartoonish/Cheap Webpage design

What do you think that TNAWrestling.com should change/improve ?

One of my biggest gripes with their site is the fact that they don't upload very much content following episodes of iMPACT!, ReACTION, Xplosion, etc.

As you noted, the WWE does this even as their shows are going on, and that's something fans can absolutely look forward to. Following a PPV, for example, you can visit WWE.com and find out all the information on what just happened, minutes after it happened – photos and video (sometimes) included. With TNA, you've gotta wait a few days, and generally you get one image (like Dreamer's photo at Slammiversary) with a "Results from Slammiversary" line text and a link. Quite boring.

Factor in the lack of updates elsewhere, and lack of updates in general become the biggest problem for me, personally.

I'm also not crazy about the design at all. The yellow text-over the cheesy screen-grab images is corny (and I loathe that stupid little star that precedes every sentence), the abundance of red is overkill, and the actual layout is incredibly outdated.

They also feature their logo entirely too much.

1) The front page has too much stuff on the side and it takes too long to scroll to the bottom. (This could be a browser issue though since I'm at work)
2) The "Autograph Signing" is short - but I guess that's not the website's fault but TNA not putting more stars out there. They have 2 this month compared to WWE's 9.
3) The footer is far too busy.

The site design is atrocious. Everything is scattered about that you don't even know what you're looking for. As people have said much of it is outdated.

Simplicity in my mind is always the way to go. I despise the links. But it would be much more bearable if they were at the top and nothing else. But, their website has an overkill of crap with a scroll bar above the links and then a banner above that. Yikes. And their is so much red. Good Lord.

WWE has it right. Simplicity. Everything is very easy to find and it's constantly updated.

I figured I would take a look at the site again and see what my pros and cons were. I got distracted by the new Lacey pictures so I had a hard time coming up with cons even though I am sure there are quite a few if memory serves correctly. It is just difficult to remember them or bother to look elsewhere for them under those circumstances.

Well what in TNA isn't a mess, they don't even know what they're doing. I've been on TNA's website multiple times and I get lost everytime, it's so disorganized and all over the place. Their superstar profiles is their biggest problem, theirs NO INFO WHATSOEVER ABOUT who they are and they've come from, just a picture with 2 lines of information thats tells you shit

TNA does have a title history section(i've seen it) but it's just names and dates, theirs nothing to click on or see anything. TNA needs to fix that because i would like to see more of their history, but i guess they're too lazy. WWE's title history section is perfect, you click on the names and each title holder gets their own picture and a detailed summary

The TNA knockouts should have their own section just like the WWE divas have their own, the page should have photoshoots as well the latest news on the knockouts

I am surprised no one has mentioned my biggest pet peeve: THOSE DAMN AUTOPLAY YOUTUBE CLIPS!!

Okay. We get it. You are internet savvy. Heck, you even take advantage of a free video service. That is smart. However, I am sure I ain't the only one that listens to other stuff on the computer while I am surfing the net. This feature on the site has actually turned me off to going to the site a lot of times. =/

The auto-play youtube video on their home page annoys me. I usually have music playing, and then I hear a "On an all new Thursday Night Impact!.." Meshing with the sounds makes me want to explode. On the 'Title Histories' page, the histories look really lame compared to WWE's where you click a superstar's name, and then get a description and picture of the champion/title reign. Also about their Title History page, they haven't updated that page in months. It still lists AJ Styles as the World Champion.. As for the roster page itself, it needs to be updated as well. First off they still have superstars listed that have left the company (Daniels, ODB, Sean Waltman, Scott Hall..) They also are very boring when you click them. You get a few videos and hardly any pictures, with a brief description. Again, very lame compared to WWE's profile pages. The lack of pictures after the shows annoy me aswell. And then the site in itself needs to be, in the words of Scotty Steiner, "Dumbed down". Or, made simpler. Wayyyy too many links.
