Simply put, an invasion/takeover storyline with Ken Anderson, Desmond Wolfe, Matt Morgan, Daniels, Shelton Benjamin, Brian Kendrick, Homicide and ODB with Jim Cornette as the manager/mouth piece for the ones that need it. The stable takes over the company to run out the old guard (citing their own experiences with management in both companies holding them down to protect the older, established or home-grown talent) and anybody that opposes them, which will include Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam, Hernandez and others.
Simply put? That's 15 wrestlers + others. That is not simple. Those are the things that you guys think are "logical"? That's what makes sense to do for TNA right now at this moment?
I disagree. I do not think any of those would work at all.
Simply put, meaning I simplified my idea. It's not a simple idea by any means. No good idea is simple. If i went into every detail about my idea to take the company to the next level, I would probably be here for hours on end.
Now, all the business ideas for TNA to change is all hear-say. I am sure TNA wants to make all those advancements sooner rather than later, but that all takes time. The only thing they can control is their story lines. Thus, my idea for the storyline that will set them on fire...
The biggest complaint about TNA is they hold down the young/current stars and push the old guys. So thus, create a heel/tweener group that's sole intention is to push the old guys aside and make themselves the center of attention. Now, you may think "Well... but fans will cheer them though" or "that puts over the old guys more like the millionaires club storyline" but my idea is a slight tweak on that story.
The new Blood/Millionaires club thing was the closest thing for WCW being able to strike gold twice after the nWo storyline ended. The problem was they started the storyline with the new blood being filled with 40 or so guys. That is too big for a stable first off and secondly, the babyfaces in the storyline were mostly guys that were too old and then DDP and Goldberg, the only two 'younger' guys at the top.
This new 'group' will form in TNA of guys who haven't hit main event status in ANY company. Anderson, Daniels, Wolfe, Morgan, Shelton and guys like that. The more fresher faces, the better. It will slowly grow from 3 members to 4, to 5 and eventually to nothing above 10 or 12 (including a manager and a woman).
They go on a 'legend' raid at first, going after Hall, Nash, Sting, Hogan, Flair, Team 3D, Rhino, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and anybody else that are established stars. They mostly take them out fairly easily. Next they go after the champion, whether it be AJ, RVD, Jeff Hardy, Abyss or whoever it be, as long as it's a face and not a heel. They take the title fairly easily (Anderson or Morgan will probably be preferred as the one that gets the leadership role) on PPV and go on a reign of terror in the company, taking over all the belts, disrupting the show and taking the show hostage when they feel like it.
The storyline could last about 2 or 3 years, as long as it continues to shift and adapt every month or so. You may say that's too long (no, you WILL say it), but it can be done. I would explain how things could change and play out throughout that time, but I really don't want to type this idea for hours on end. You may say it's an nWo-copycat, it is and it isn't. The nWo was a bunch of established talents looking to takeover another wrestling company, this group idea is about a bunch of guys who are doing-so because they feel they don't get the opportunities they deserve so they opt to take them instead and run off the people who have had those same opportunities.
The group dominates for many many months, to the point where fans are sick of seeing them win. Put them over everybody via nefarious means. Think Triple H/2003 or nWo/1997 domination. Yes, the faces have victories every month or so, but the heels come back and win the battle nearly every time. While the nWo story started in 1996, it took 6 months of that year plus all of 1997 to truly take WCW to it's apex. 1998 was WCW's best year because of it. 1997 however, creatively, was a so-so year for the company. The storyline was so hot and so perfectly executed that it didn't matter if it was going painfully slow. New fans were watching every week and the company grew and grew. Thus, instead of blowing their load early they kept the build going till 1997 and then continued the story in 1998. They ended up never ending it but that wasn't the fault of the way it was executed in 1996 and 1997. Point being, the painfully slow build worked and it CAN work again.
Eventually, the younger stars such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Hernandez and others band together and take down this big group and win back the titles and control over the company. The group then slowly starts fighting in itself while they are in the middle of trying to take back the power they lost. The group breaks apart and the big fish of the group feud with each other while the newer stars that killed them go on to other things. Not only does TNA create guys like Matt Morgan, Desmond Wolfe, Anderson, Daniels but they cement guys like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Hernandez and others as the backbone of the company.
The current stars such as Sting, RVD, Hardy and all the other older guys either sink or swim in the storyline. If it's as successful as it should be, all those guys will be old news and TNA would have created nearly a dozen new brand name stars in a matter of 2 or 3 years. Anything that happened beforehand will be forgotten. Remember monster truck Hogan/Giant fight? Remember Robocop? Remember Shockmaster? Remember Sid Vicious/British Bulldog/Sting and the boat explosion? YES, but in 1998 when WCW was at it's apex, nobody cared. All that crap was erased from history. TNA can come back in that same way. No blow is too great if they play their cards right.
