TNA Slammiversary: X Division Title Match - Douglas Williams v. Brian Kendrick

So ole Dougy won the title back last PPV after he lost it due to some volcanic ash. It's good too, because there's actually, like a storyline surrounding him, with him loving technical wrestling and all that, vowing to murder high flyers and the families. Or something like that. Kendrick has done little to nothing of note since joining TNA at Genesis. I suppose he's just here to because he's another random high flyer for Williams to face, which is just fine.

This should be alright. Kendrick is actually quite good, but he's just not been featured since there's 321 guys on TNA's current roster. Williams has been a pleasant surprise with a few of his matches as of late as well, except for the one with Moore, which doesn't count cause Moore sucks.

Don't think there's anyway Williams loses this one here. Kendrick is just another guy for him to face. He'll probably disappear after this PPV anyway.

Whaddya think? Kendrick have any chance here? Will this be any good? Will Williams do some heelish Brithis stuff?

I hope Doug Williams retains the X division title because he has been one of the more entertaining things about TNA lately. That is when he actually appears on Impact.

As for Brian Kendrick to me he's just been there and he doesn't seem very motivated. I think he's just getting the title shot because there is no one else left in the X division to face Doug Williams.

The match should be good though but who knows.

Kendrick has no shot at winning this. This just seems to random, and I find find it hard to believe Williams would lose the tittle so soon. I like Kendrick, and I was a huge fan of his when he was in WWE, and it's good to see he's getting a chance at some spotlight here. I expect this to be a good match because both of these men are very good in the ring. I'm picking Doug to win this match because the man is a good heel, and an outstanding wrestler, so hopefully he can have a nice reign with the belt.

Douglas to win this match, i don't see him losing soo quickly...i hope he wins aswell...kendrick hasn't really done anything since debuting at Genesis, so I don't think he deserves a title shot..nor to actually win the title...

As much as I like Kendrick I gotta go with Williams retaining here. Like people say above he should won back his title and wouldn't make much sense for him to drop it to Kendrick here with no built up although this is tna we are talking about here.

I see Williams retain here in a decent 8 to 10 minute match up.

Should turn out interesting but I would of liked to have seen some kind of uber-face in this match.

I'm going with Brian Kendrick here. After watching Impact this week it looks as if they are going to push him after all. Williams' momentum has just not been the same ever since he lost the belt last time when he missed a PPV due to flight issues. Kendrick could make a better X Division Champion if they actually push him. I think Kendrick will win the belt because TNA appears to be giving him a chance, and a win would make sense right now.

Like every Williams match, this will be decent if unspectacular. The division needs a popular face that can be connected with and got behind. Kendrick is not that man for me. And until they find that guy, Williams should retain.

So that means Kendrick will be the new champ.
