TNA Returns to the Asylum for one final show on Friday, November 12.

Too bad this can't be a live iMPACT taping. The final wrestling show ever at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds sports arena, made famous by it's Memphis Wrestling cards on Saturday nights, Mid-America cards on Wednesdays and most recently the home of TNA weekly PPV cards.

It will sadly be missed.

I'd imagine they'll do a big thing for it since it's already being advertised for, and I wouldn't doubt they record the entire night to sell on DVD later on, or at the very least as part of one of the Asylum Years DVD's they'll continue to release.

The Asylum years were fun, but the company out-grew that arena, just as it's out-growing the iMPACT! Zone.

I think that it's really cool that they are doing one last show at the Asylum. I would've liked to be some sort of Impact taping or Live Impact but o well maybe they will film it and sell like a DVD. For TNA to grew they needed to leave the Asylum no the same thing can be said for Leaving the Impact Zone.

Nice to see them returning to the Asylum, I for one want to see TNA in MSG... O.O. It's like a wrestlers holy grail and I do believe WWE wont let TNA go there but hey we can hope eh?

If i were a wrestler, i really wouldn't care of wrestling in MSG. To me it's all about Gergio dome. WCW was AWSOME. The crowd were like a bunch of rapid zombies.

And i cant wait to see TNA in the Ayslum. I never watched them while they were there. So it will be a different experience for me.

Let them go there? WWE have no copyright claims on Madison Square Garden, and certainly have no legal say in whether or not they can perform there — the problem is TNA isn't exactly renowned for being able to sell out arenas, and selling 20,789 tickets to fill MSG on any given night isn't going to be an easy task for them by any means.

I remember reading around the time of the Hogan press conference that WWE had an exclusive deal with MSG for pro wrestling events. Hogan tweaked McMahon's nose by having the press event at the Garden. A press conference, not a wrestling match, but still "on WWE turf".

Of course, that doesn't cover Nassau Coliseum or the arena in Newark, which TNA couldn't come close to filling either.

the WWE actually has wrestling-exclusive deals with some arenas around the country, not counting MSG. The Sommet Center (GEC, Nashville Arena, Bridgestone Arena) has been WWE-exclusive since opening. WCW continued to run the Municipal Auditorium after it was opened (1997) for a Nitro, a Thunder, and SuperBrawl Revenge. TNA ran two shows (maybe four).

Really? I had no idea — as far as I knew that kind of thing wasn't really legal, but I could be wrong.

As for the surrounding arenas, the only one that would even compare is the Devils' Prudential Center in Newark, because Nassau Coliseum is a shit hole that's falling apart, literally (a giant piece fell off its facade this past summer).
