TNA Releases Raven

I've always liked Raven, but his time in the ring is done. Granted he would be useful on the creative team, but I have the feeling that even creative is overstaffed. There are only so many backstage jobs. Jarrett said there would be a lot of firings in the near future and the EV2 guys are dropping like flies. I hope the next one to go is Dreamer, even if it is to the back and out of sight. His whiny promos drive me crazy, the only time I like to see Dreamer is when he is getting beat down by Fortune.

This is definitely a good thing, TNA's roster is way over-bloated so they need to trim some of the fat which Raven (and the rest of EV2 bar Kendrick, RVD and Foley) certainly are. If the stories of money in TNA being tight are true then this is a good move as it is one less pay check they have to sign.

Onto Raven himself though, I can't say I'll miss him. His best days (if you could call them that) are about 13 years behind him and these days he is nothing more than a self parody, he can't do shit all in the ring, his mic work is okay at best andhe can't draw shit. As I said he was nothing more than a wasted pay check and he won't be missed.
