After the reports that Impact could be going live every other week as soon as March/April, how do you think this will affect TNA?

Personally i think its a big step up and could very well help TNA get to that next level (if handled right). Im sure we have all read people saying that being taped reduces the excitement and anticipation of a show and so this could start to improve on Impacts ratings (which are already the highest in the companies history) and best case scenario, if all goes well maybe live evry week.

Whats everyones opinion on the subject?

i think this will really help tna cause every one knows what happens on impact before it airs and if your surfing the site and you see that the spoilers are posted you cant help but read and see what happens and that makes people not wanna watch it if they know what happens this will give them more of a suprise aspect and if they happen to have a big debut on impact everyone wont know about four days before it airs so in the long run this will boost their ratings and help improve the product

I think this will be a HUGE step in the right direction. Every other week will be live, so every other week more people will watch to see what actually happens. I'm shocked TNA is rising so fast, and soon enough it will be up there with WWE. Look at how fast they've rised.

This is a massive and extremely important step for TNA that needs to be taken at least by the end of this year. When you watch iMPACT you don't get the live feeling however when watching a live PPV its brilliant, I think TNA really shines when its live. Theres more pressure on people to perform and put on a better match than the is during tapings that can just be edited. I think with WWE knocking right on the door soon in Orlando for WM this would be a great step to take for TNA around that time. I do think though before they go live they could revamp the iMPACT zone a bit more and make the production side alot better. But all in all live TNA needs to be done.

In my opinion this could both help and hurt T.N.A. Depending on if they stay on Thursday nights, yet go live each Thursday, or move to another day. Some are suggesting that T.N.A. move to Monday nights, and go up against Monday Night Raw. To everyone even remotely suggesting that, I simply have one question for you.

Do you really want to go back to only watching ONE Wrestling promotion? Because I can promise you, if a million (if not billion) dollar company like W.C.W. and Ted Turner couldn't run W.W.E. out of business.. I'm almost all but sure a barely above par company like T.N.A. is suddenly going to run neck and neck with them.

In my opinion, spoilers (via taped shows) are what hurt ratings. However, people who love the company, regardless of reading spoilers or not, will still continue to tune in. T.N.A. has come up from being a weekly p.p.v. show, which I still can't believe actually made it at that rate. That says something. However, they're still nowhere near strong enough to compete head to head with the W.W.E.

I honestly say go live, if only you wish to stay on Thursday nights. Stay taped, if you wish to produce the best show possible. (as you can edit and reair) But regardless, stay away from Monday Nights.

It's a big step up, I think a big part of TNA's lack of viewers and criticism is that people just read what they do online and then think "oh that looks stupid damn Russo" while it actually is pretty good on TV.

I did the exact same thing on TNA's first 2hour show, I read it, thought it seemed stupid watched it and said it was a great iMPACT

On the WZ main page they have a report that a live Impact is confirmed for March 27th, with additional tapings the 28th and 29th. This is a huge step in the right direction for TNA. It will add an unpredictability aspect that Impact has been lacking. This should increase ratings, although I'm not sure by how much, because people will not be able to read spoilers. The only step after this for TNA is to take Impact tapings on the road.

I think this has the potential to be a big deal for tna. Being live just has a different feeling to it. Also, I read all spoilers for every show every week. The only two shows i won't miss are ecw and raw, the two live shows. Smackdown and impact i read the spoilers, then watch the show if nothign else is on. On mondays a lot of my evening is spent killing time until 9pm. If it were live, i woudln't miss impact, so it could be huge. However, i'm nto sure how many people would watch anyway. Definately not a bad thing though.

well ppl could just stop reading the spoilers like me, and hey guess what, u'll be suprised sometimes XD

but yeah, great news for TNA, i think this will help the ratings a little... not that much though, ill be suprised if the ratings shoots up, if this does happen then i guess the IWC is much bigger than i thought, since pretty much just the IWC actually reads the spoilers

A man, I have to agree with you. This could either hurt or help tna. But if wcw was able to take alot of big name wrestlers out of wwe and beat wwe in ratings for 80 plus weeks but now is owned by wwe. I dont think tna will ever be a major threat like wcw was. I also think if vince mcmahon payed major attention to tna and wanted them out of business, they would be out of business before you know it

This isn't a good thing for TNA to do in my opinion. For one how many of there wrestlers have experience on live TV? I know there's only one way for them to learn, but it'll still be a little bumpy to start off with.

A lot of TNA promos sound like they were scripted by Ric Flair. They're intangible, and confused. Imagine how they'll come across live.

TNA is really poor at the moment. How much do they edit the show down? Maybe not much, in fact maybe the ditors should be a little bit more snippy. But I believe that the TNA that you see on TV is vastly different than the one that's taped a few days or weeks before.
