This Road to Wrestlemania is Going to be a Wild Ride!

King Of The Ring
So, I've just recently been catching up on some of the stories and rumors on the main site and I've gotta say I have never been as excited as I am right now to see how the Road to Wrestlemania will play out. There seem to be an unlimited amount of options as to what WWE can do right now as it just seems that all the stars are aligning at the right time.

Firstly, WWE has the most complete roster they have had in years... Undoubtedly we will see Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, The Wyatts, the Usos, and most likely Cesaro, Y2J, Ziggler, and a few others being heavily involved in Wrestlemania.

Secondly, (and what this whole thread is basically about) WWE has a whole handful of TOP level talent that can be brought in just in time for Mania season. Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns are scheduled to be back in time for the RR and you can bet those returns are going to blow the roof off of wherever they occur. The Undertaker says he's probably not finished yet; Boom, another huge return. Than of course we have the Sting saga but if WWE can lock him up before Mania than we will witness one of the biggest moments in wrestling history within the next 4-5 months. The Rock and Stone Cold are always strong possibilities to make an appearance and those are always good moments. Lastly, we come to a wild card, but somebody who can make a MASSIVE impact if WWE decides to pull the trigger... Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle says he wants to start wrestling in January (just in time for RR) and have one more year long... Personally I believe Angle is coming back. So just think about it, we could possibly (though not very likely) see the returns of DB, RR, UT, and Kurt Angle and have Sting finally appear in the WWE within the next 4 months.

Just imagine the card (and the orgasms).

So what do you guys think about this? Should WWE just go all out for Wrestlemania 31? Or should Mania be focused on the full-timers?

Wow you figured things out? LOL do you wwe morons think worst wrestling excrement will have all the talent and no one else? A lot of benchwarmers no being utilized! Kurt Angle is not coming to wwe and STING will be inducted in the hall of fame ala Abdullah The butcher! What next ? NOthing good about circusmania its the same crap year after year with 2 good matches I think people have to wake up wrestling is dying especially wwe which is not considered wrestling but a circus sideshow!

Nice to see a positive opening post on here, a shame the miserable sod above me had to ruin it with negativity.

Mania is the big one and it needs to seperate itself from other PPV's and stop itself becoming just a regular showcase or even worse - a gloried episode of Raw!

I do think that Mania 31 will infact have issues with the main card and we will not see some of the mid card talent in singles competition. Below is a list of folk I expect to see in some capacity...

Will Happen

Sting - time to face facts. Sting and WWE are working together on a lot of things and Sting wants a match. WWE will not pass up this opportunity and I would bet my house he wrestles at Mania 31. WWE will wait to pull the trigger on this. No point in bringing him now and releasing the hype. I expect he will debut after the Rumble.

Batista - he is returning at some point, I have no idea but he wants that one last run before he sails off into the sunset. Triple H is his rumoured opponent but we whether or not he calls it a day at Mania 31 but it looks likely according to rumours. What I do know is Batista will probably be wrestling as he signed a 2 year in ring contract.

Undertaker - said last week he is not ruling it out. He was never going to say 'yeh I am wrestling'. The Deadman is not finished yet and despite his loss to Brock, this is still his stomping ground. He will be there and baring injury this is fact. Taker gets the fanfare when he is finished and this has not happen yet.

Could Happen

Rock - He wants in. He wants another match. He wants it to be special. Rock vs brock is the biggest thing they could do right now. It was all set for Mania 30 but didnt happen because of injuries. I am not sure Rock vs Brock will happen at Mania 31 - looks more likely Brock will face an up and comer which leaves WWE will a small issue. Who could The Rock face?!

Stone Cold - I would never rule out an Austin return and I wouldn't here. Looks very unlikely but if the money was right and the fued was right I think we would see it. This would be huge for the Network.

Won't happen

Kurt Angle - desperate for a WWE return and has even gone over Triple H's head to make this happen. I don't see him signing with WWE for a few reasons. Looks to me like he could end up at GFW. I hope I am wrong but looks like WWE (Triple H) are not interested.

Hulk Hogan - I am not a wrestling snob and I would love to see Hogan go 1 on 1 'one last time' but sadly it looks like his pleas are falling on deaf ears. Things could change in 2015 but as things stand it looks like he will be sticking to promos.

I hope we finally get that Evolution Triple Threat/ Fatal Four Way, and Sting/Undertaker, and Angle/Bryan, those 3 matches alone would make WM 31 a must watch for me.

Go read some of the other miserable sod's posts. He sucks the air out of every thread he posts in. Why someone if a username like that is coming onto a WWE forum is beyond me.

Any on topic. I would love to see Sting in action at least once, and Mania is the place to do it. They would have to do some heavy promoting though, as a lot of the fan base, I'm talking the younger ones don't know who he is. Especially those who have never watched TNA. The only person I could see him against would be the Undertaker and that would kill two birds with one stone. Sting's debut and Taker's retirement. Hard to call a finish though, as you wouldn't want to see both lose, so there would have to be something special thought of the end it.

Batista is coming back and was promised a title shot. I can't see it happening at Mania though, maybe they'll feed him to Lesnar beforehand. I think he should concentrate on putting some of the younger guys over, instead of thinking of himself for a change.

I think a Rock/Reigns match would do wonders for Reigns to build back his momentum after he comes back. If he doesn't make it in time for the Rumble, what's better than to have his cousin put him over at Mania.

Stone Cold hasn't been in the ring in years, and he looks like he's enjoying what he's doing. Bring him back as a special referee or something but as a wrestling no. I would rather remember him the way he was, same with Hogan.

It would appear that Kurt Angle needs the WWE more than they need him right now. If he came back it would most likely be a legends contract, but I've heard HHH isn't keen on that, so it's not going to happen.

I'm excised for Mania too. If they play it right this could be a blockbuster or just a bust, depending on who comes back healthy and how the booking goes. They have a brand new stadium to fill, and I'm sure we'll hear it if they don't get it right.

Lesnar vs Batista could happen at The Rumble IMO. WWE cannot pass up this opportunity again. This is a really solid Main Event and dare I say it - Wrestlemania Main Event if Batista had the right build up...

I draw issue with the other comment though (otherwise a really good post). Batista put over The Shield members and Daniel Bryan during his last run!!! He squashed Del Rio but he had too and won The Rumble but even he said he didn't want to win the Rumble as a face as 'the fans would hate it!'

It's very exciting, especially to see how everybody has grown over the past year.

I just hope they learned from last year to have their main event set. Even though WrestleManias are longer than your average pay per view, last year we saw Bryan in action for nearly an hour wrestling HHH, Batista and Orton on the same night.

Yes, he was the biggest star going into WrestleMania but to think you could have had those 25 minutes set aside for HHH/Bryan for a solid opener involving younger talents or somebody HHH can put over.

They did have their ME set. It was Batista vs Orton and the fans shit all over it. WWE learned last year that they need to listen to the fans!

This coming Mania it will definitely be either Brock vs Reigns or Brock vs Rock.

Ambrose will probably get Triple H. Daniel Bryan will be given Seth Rollins or maybe even Cena.

With his surgery and the subsequent downtime, I don't think Reigns will be ready for Brock Lesnar. So I've changed my mind on Brock vs Rock. Just the promo's alone between Heyman and Rock would be something to see.

problem of Brock v Rock is that both of them are super-part-timers. It could only work if in the end Rollins cashes the money in the bank and gets the title.

It seems that Wrestlemania 31 could well possibly not be lacking in star power at all. A list of possible Superstars being available for the event:

John Cena
Randy Orton
Daniel Bryan
Roman Reigns
Dean Ambrose
Seth Rollins
Triple H
Brock Lesnar
Batista
the Rock
Sting

The likes of the Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin and even, Hulk Hogan are long shots for the event also.

Then of course, someone like Rusev with the way he has been built might well be in a well promoted Singles match as well against a Top Star.

I, for one, am salivating at the prospect of the Match card for Wrestlemania 31. :)
