I'm fine with the old schoolers like Thesz, Sammartino and Ed Lewis getting the votes because those guys were dominant. I just dislike the whole logic of "X invented this aspect of wrestling, nobody can perfect him in it". I'm not saying they are unimportant, on the contrary in fact, but you're implying people can't improve from the baseplate they set.

This is probably most evident in HHH vs Gorgeous George.

I try to stay away from Japanese wrestlers because I have no fucking clue who is who in Japanese wrestling. I don't like arguments that consist of, Japanese wrestler A had x number of five star matches so he should go over American wrestler B. It is well known that Dave Meltzer gets a hard on for Japanese wrestling. His hard on for puro makes Ech's Japanese wrestling boner look like a urinary erection. Love you Ech.

Also, I got two people to vote for Stevie Richards. Two people other than myself voted for the man whose career winning percentage is ~35%. I should start a cult I've got so much influence.

You should get Rayne involved and use his prototype of the prison bingo card. I'd also add "That's great and all but..." and when people pluck the running time of the match out of the air to the douchiness list too.

I'll happily acknowledge that Rayne's prison troll bingo is the inspiration for this idea. I'm sure he'll show up and make our little game better.

The only matches I steer clear of are usually two guys way out of my realm like if it was Antonino Rocca against Blue Demon for example. I can usually get a handle on most other stuff and in fact I have seen work of most of the Japanese guys. I'm obviously most bewildered by guys pre-70s or that kind of boundary.

I'd say in about two thirds the matches I'll hold off voting until I've read the comments, which can be a while going on that Henry and Benoit thread. But some matches like Hogan and Johnson, I'll vote first, talk later because I'm not going to be swayed.

When it's the e-fed guys, I just go with what the fed head suggests. This one wasn't my decision. I'd hope I was smarter than that.
