Who would everyone like to see challenge Eddie Kingston for the title? I would really like to see him defend the belt, with my reasoning, against Hallowicked (the only person to beat Quack in Block A), Icarus (the only one to beat Hallowicked in the tournament that's still in CHIKARA), Jigsaw (in Quack's corner at High Noon), Vin Gerard (only person to beat Kingston in the tournament), Tim Donst (he's the maaaAAAaaan), Brodie Lee (never got to see this match in the tournament) before losing the belt to Sara Del Rey. I think that would be a pretty good six month reign to help establish the belt.

I just saw that one-half of CHIKARA's Campeonatos de Parejas Johnny Gargano captured the Open the Freedom Gate Title at the DGUSA iPPV Sunday night. Congratulations Johnny! I've been a fan of his since watching him in the FRAY! match that was on DGUSA's first DVD, so it's really awesome to see that he won the title. I just wish the show was on a different day so that I could have ordered it.

As you know, I'd love to see UMB get a title shot. He's been in the company since day one, and the same goes for 'Wicked. Quack will obviously get a rematch somewhere down the line. Donst is a good choice for a challenger, just to prove he's not King's punching bag anymore.
But, the one person I think a lot of people don't think about in that situation is Greg Irons. Kid's been on a roll lately....

That sucks. I always liked Amassis a bit more than Ophidian and Gresham.

I did as well. I never really cares for Gresham. He just doesn't have charisma and isn't good enough in the ring to make up for it. I do like Ophidian, and I think this rudo turn is exactly what he needs to get over as a singles wrestler.
Also, I'm intrigued by what the Mysterium P thing was about. Apparently there is some kind of puzzle to figure something out about it, but it is way too complicated for me. But I do love how Chikara is using viral marketing here.

I'm guessing you, but I've been wrong before. But that's pretty cool.
Anyone excited for the JoshiMania shows? I honestly couldn't care less about them.
Also, I saw somewhere that the Season 11 premiere is January 28 in Easton. I'm already looking forward to it.

Just seeing that made me mark out so hard. That's the date of Ring of Honor's return to Philadelphia. I wonder if it will just be a one time thing, or if we're going to get another ROH vs CZW interpromotional type feud.

Several CHIKARA talents will be appearing at the ROH return to Philadelphia, challenging ROH Tag Team champions Mark and Jay Briscoe in a "Proving Ground" non-title match where if they win, they will earn a future title shot. One of the things ROH plans on doing in 2012 is having an "open door" policy to bring in unique names for matches against ROH champions. This is the start of that.
That's awesome. The whole open challenge thing was one of the best side aspects of Bryan's title run. He had great matches with Corino and Sabin that way. I love this.
I wonder how this will work with talent that are in DGUSA. Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano vs the Briscoes is a dream match, but I can't imagine either side being okay with that.

I can't see Gargano and Taylor being the team in the Proving Grounds match, even though I would love for them to be the team. Not only are they under DGUSA contracts, but they are also CHIKARA's CdP, so I couldn't see CHIKARA allowing their tag team champions to lose to another company's.
My guess for who will be in the match is either Quackenbush and Jigsaw or Hallowicked and UltraMantis Black. I would love for Tim Donst to get a chance in Ring of Honor, though.

Jigsaw and Hallowicked win the Proving Grounds match, and then CHIKARA "invades" Ring of Honor? That sounds awesome. Here's to hoping it leads to some interpromotional matches and an awesome storyline. Also, it's good to see Frightmare back.

So, CH David I am going to Synergy this weekend and I, for one, am fucking pumped. This will be my first time seeing CHIKARA live.
The question I pose for all of you is: what's going on in CHIKARA? I see there are some evil ants about and Gran Akuma is feuding with F.I.S.T. but can anyone fill me in with some more depth or other storylines going down right now?

The last time I checked they had a working relationship with ROH too. Not sure if they still do or not.
