Anything can happen at a TNA Wrestling Live Event, and that was certainly the case on Sunday night in Morgantown, West Virginia, as The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) defeated The BroMans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) to become the NEW TNA World Tag Team Champions! Check back soon for exclusive #IMPACT365 video footage and Twitter reactions from The Wolves and The BroMans!

Tune into Thursday's IMPACT WRESTLING broadcast on SpikeTV at 9/8c for the aftermath of The Wolves championship victory - plus, how will The BroMans react to the loss?

I have no idea why they didn't just wait this out and have the titles change hands on television, but it does add a bit of a wrinkle to how things are going to play out heading into Lockdown. You'd have to imagine the Bro Mans are a shoe-in for Team Roode for the Lethal Lockdown match now.

Thoughts?

So they sign The American Wolves, one of the best tag teams in all of wrestling. They do the whole investor thing isn't it with MVP? Where like he brought them in or something, and they obviously have it known that The Wolves are coming for the tag titles (or so I presume from Davey's Twitter). So they do all this, on TV, and then instead of building up the chase to the titles and getting them over on TV - cause yano they weren't in WWE prior to TNA so according to IWC logic nobody knows who they are despite the fact everyone has at least heard of them - they put the titles on them at a live event?!

I'm happy for Davey and Eddie, no matter where they go whether I like it or not, watch or don't watch, they'll always be my boys from ROH, but they should have been built to the titles more than just handed them on TV. It's lazy booking. Congrats to them either way.

I'm surprised by this. Granted, the Wolves were gonna get the titles sooner or later, but I imagined it woul be on Impact or a PPV. Kinda reminds me of how titles changed hands back in the 80's and 90's at house shows.

I'm happy for them, but something in me thinks they should've let them win on Thursday's Impact Wrestling. I know it's taped already but TNA should've thought of this. Have the guys Triple H rejected for NXT win the TNA tag titles the night NXT has a PPV on the WWE Network.

Oh well let the Wolves/Bad influence saga Begin!!

Boosting interest for their house show market which they really need would be the only reason I see for this happening.

It's cool that The (Why are they not American) Wolves won the titles but, don'tcha think the kinda blew their load with them there? I mean they just debuted a few weeks ago. I know The Bromans wasn't particularly masters of their craft, but they've got their act down at least.

TNA could be onto something here with #Impact365. If the idea is to have storylines going all the time even when the show is off the air, then stuff like this should happen often. Not necessarily just title changes, but important moments in general. It would definitely help with live events.

I think this is good PR for their live events. More people will want to go hoping something like this happens. A cynic like me would say that after this, it means this won't happen FOR A LONG TIME. No way a title change happens at a live event a month or 2 after the last one.

It's being called a LIVE SPECIAL. It doesn't really make sense to call them "PPVs" anymore, considering you're committed to all of the events for 6 months. I bet WWE will start calling the rest of the shows "Live Specials" too (despite the fact Raw is already live and won't be considered "special").

Would be cool if they started calling them "supercards".

Anyways don't know how this makes sense unless there is no mention of or matches with The Wolves/Bro Mans at all in the next few Impact episodes

The Wolves are outstanding. I started watching again after this investor angle. They are so good in the ring. I have enjoyed iMPACT for the most part over the last month or so.

The rumor going around is that Mutoh requested the title change to happen when it did, so as far as jumping the gun, in this case they really can't be blamed for it.

The attendance figures for the Morgantown show aren't available yet, but once again, judging by what was on that video, it doesn't appear they had the greatest turnout. Stuff like this is a good way of promoting their house shows as must attend though. Obviously you don't want to be switching titles at them all the time, but having continuations of angles happening on house shows that carry over to TV is a way of drawing more viewers in... and it's something that sets them apart from WWE, instead of everything else they do which makes them seem like they're WWE lite.

I say use this to hype the unpredictable nature of a TNA event... and then keep following it up with more angles getting furthered at live events which they can then follow up with on TV.
