The Undertakers last match?

We all know that the undertaker at either at WM 28 or WM 29 will more than likely hang up his boots for good, but who would be his opponent in his last match?

Taker vs punk or maybe Taker vs Cena? I cant think of a suitable opponent for his last match. What do you think?

Neither, I would like to see Undertaker vs. Randy Orton. Yes they've met before and it was a hell of a match. But, that was when Orton wasn't as experienced as he is now. I think he could give him one hell of a show.

I believe that for WrestleMania 28 it should be CM Punk. Taker and Punk have had a history before and with the hype of Cena-Rock, Punk will feel left out of the picture and start trouble with Taker in order to trump Cena by ending the streak, but it will not work. At WrestleMania 29 it should be Cena. Lets face it Cena is the biggest name in WWE right now so who better for Taker to have a final match with. If they play their cards right they can make either one of these matches the biggest of the year.

My opinion on this is very simple if not cena since he is book already for next year I say u have to try for sting because that is the last big match out there that wwe could possiable pull off not only from a huge fan prospective with it being a dream match but also a legacy ending match for both men and one of the last true possiable threats to the streak anyone else its probably been done and I know people say punk or y2J but if much bigger names couldn't get it done who would believe either of those could end the streak so sting is my pick for a huge last match for taker

I got two schools of thought when it comes to the Undertaker. 1st thought is the match needs to be against someone who has a chance to actually win the match. Enter John Cena. He's probably the only one on the roster with the resume ( at WM) That can even compare to UT. The build up can be something to the effect of the UT calling out Cena claiming that he's the only one left who hasn't suffered the wrath of the Undertaker. The build could be good, and the promos could be even better. Another school of thought is to have a match against one of the young up and comers like Wade Barrett or ADR.

Seriously, Cena is really the biggest draw of the business and Taker-Cena is the biggest match that can be put out there. I do believe that Undertaker can still compete until Wrestlemania 29 provided that he only appears during the time before Wrestlemania.

i have thought about this over and over again, being that im a huge taker fan i would love to see him and sting at wm but dont think its going to happen. i would love to see him give a push to one of the up and comers in the bussniess, but i personally think it will be with someone he has wrestled befor orton would be my guess but there is alot of time between now and then. i didnt get to watch the trple h match til a few months back and it was a great match but as a fan of the undertaker i DO NOT want to see him carried away on a strecher again for as long as i can remember i dont think the deadman has ever been carried out like that befor. imo this shouldbe his last match at mania he goes out and he will go 20-0, if not it still will never be touched by anyone else.

I would love to see Sting and Taker go at it, but I don't think it's going to happen. Let's face it, Taker can't last too long in a match anymore so he will have to wrestle someone who can carry him. That has to be Punk or either Jericho, those are the only two I can see making Undertaker look great.
Another way to make a believable Undetaker losing his streak match is to put him in the match with Cena & Rock, Triple Threat for the WWE Title. Have Taker come back and win the RR and challenge Cena (who wins the title at RR)for the title. Have it seem like it's gonna interfer with the Rocks match being called off. The Rock then comes back talking noise to the Undertaker and maybe have a February match or a brawl backstage a the pay per view where Cena AA's the one that wins the fight. This would lead into a title vs. streak vs. ego main event at Wrestlemania.

Am I the only one who wants to see Taker vs Austin or Taker vs Rock? Neither have happened at 'Mania, and I really think they're two of the only people who could be big enough to really pose a threat. No offence to Punk or Cena, but there's a certain mystique required to face the Undertaker. Unless Cena finally bites the bullet and turns heel, it's a big no from me for Cena. As for Punk, I don't want to see him lose to 'Taker, and I just don't see how he'd win. It makes little-to-no sense.

I don't know about Cena, for this guy just doesn't lose clean. An for taker to beat him it is going to be clean. An its not like taker can use hells gates to make Cena tap or pass out. I still don't want it to be Trips either as it was a good match in all but needs not to be him either. He needs to focus on his COO thing. Also I don't want it to be Mick Foley no matter how bad people want to see this happen. Mick should give someone else the rub. Sure him an taker have had good matches but these guys are not in the same physical condintion anymore. Randy Orton will probally be in the title hunt and I wouldn't mind seein taker wrestle him for the title and as his last match and win. But I don't want Randy to go back to the legend killer gimmick and he should stay focused as the viper.

I truly wish the WWE continued the story were the Nexus helped Kane bury taker. Ya know the whole larger picture thing that just feel off the face of the world. I think they should push Barret and push him hard and rehash this story line. An have Barret talk about the whole thing was to rid of taker and he will due it at Wrestlmania and the larger picture is Wade showing he is a true phenom too.

I want and hope takers last match is at WM 28 and he goes against Barret. Barret don't win but at the end it makes him look so strong for he beats taker up so bad that nite he causes taker to retire. Just my thoughts on the whole idea.

Realistically, Punk, unrealistically, Sting. Anyone else I don't care about. It's been done. I want to see Taker wrestle someone he never has at WM. I'm tired of Cena, Orton and Triple H.

in my opinion at the rate the wwe is going right now only 2 guys come to mind from current events and 1 other person who i want to come back the 2 people i see to face him at wm from current events are cena at wm 29 since he hasnt faced taker at wm yet and it would make sense or mark henry yes i know mark has faced him before and no one actually thought he would be the one who ended the streak but as of late i could see it happening the other person is jericho if he returns i would love to see them go at it at wm those are the only 3 guys i can possibly see but if wwe uses a new up and comer i will be pissed

Taker vs. Game, round 3 at mania 28. H.B.K. is guest ref and kicks both competitors with sweet chin music during the match, for different reasons. It is Streak vs. Career, or The Streak vs. The Game. In the end, Undertaker beats the Game with a devastating tombstone off the ropes. Undertaker goes 20-0 at mania and retires undefeated. After match Shawn tells Hunter it`s time to hang it up and D. X. reunite one last time with the D.X. music playing. If taker comes back at Mania 29 I believe it will be to end the Streak, possibly by Super Cena, but I hope not.

For me, it just has to be The Rock becuase the promos leading up to Wrestlemania would just be awesome. They could have the rock just come out and say I have done everything in the WWE exect one and that was end taker's streak, you could have like the Rock talk with all of the other people who faced taker, but able to do this i think the rock would have to come back like almost part time from like Royal Rumble to Wreslemania to make it so that would mean no crappy disney movies. Another one i would love to see is just the usual Sting, maybe Raven, Mankind or any of the other faces of Foley.

Personally I think Cena vs. Taker would be pretty cool. I'd love to see a tombstone given to that overated loser. Barret could probly hold a match too.

I know this is wishful thinking. But Takers last match just has to appeal to old school wrestling fans and be against another legend or someone who has a long history with Taker like Kane. Cena and Punk are not worthy candidates for Takers last match for the petty reason that they are a new generation of superstar.
Shawn Michaels retirement was utterly perfect.
I hear a rumour that Sting was offered an oppertunity to have a WM match with Taker and also be inducted into the HOF. That could very well have been an almost fitting end to undertaker but a none WWE legend just wouldnt count in my mind.

How would I book it?
Kane starts a thoroughly entertaining Feud with…. Wade Barrett, Barrett however will be HEEL and Kane FACE.
Barrett and Kane have a regular booked match, Kane wins cleanly in almost as much dominance as Cena did at super Smackdown.
Now Barrett keeps interrupting Kanes’ matches and attacking him from behind.
Several Feud like matches and promo’s happen and somewhere along the line Barrett and Kane have a match. This match ultimately ends with Kane dominating the match but being inadvertently thrown into a pit of fire or something else that could cause pain and mental scarring.
Kane then has quite a substantial amount of time off, almost to the point people seem to forgotten about him, even Barrett has stopped boasting about how he destroyed Kane.
Kane returns a few months before mania and very much like HHH v Sheamus, annihilates Barrett and the feud is closed.
Now Kane goes through RAW and Smackdown in an epic winning streak and being very dominant, even more so than Mark Henry’s current run of dominance. Announcers are constantly exclaiming that nobody can beat Kane although Kane has no interest in the WWE titles just in hurting people. Queue Undertakers DRAMATIC return! They both go toe to toe, with nither athlete gaining any ground over the other, a team of referee’s cant take them apart, the Security team cant take them apart. The show ends!
WrestleMania comes along. The match is amazing almost a rivalry to HBK v Taker (but that’s wishful thinking). Kane beats taker, or Taker beats Kane for the magic number 20!
Ether way, undertakers first loss… or the Number 20 have a magical significance with Takers character.
The theme music of the winner continues to play with the dimmed lights whilst the winner celebrates, the two kneel semetrical in the center of the ring facing the camera doing Takers classic tongue out eyes rolling. Thunder hits the ring, the lights go out. The lights come back on and the ring is empty with nothing more than a mask on the floor and the Undertakers insignia etched on the matt in ash. The brothers of destruction are no more.
