What happens if you turn PS3 on, eject disc and then re-insert? Does it automatically work then?

Thanks. I'm using Audacity already and that's what I've used to edit it but the file was at 52mb using 128 bit-rate and I've struggled to get it under that.
I don't know if you know any other free alternatives to Podbean that'll let me upload bigger files? Currently Podbean restricts me to 30mb uploads so effectively I have to half the MB which one compressor did but it just put ads in there which annoyed me.
Basically, yeah, what Sly said!
If you can't split it down to two parts, 96Kbps should be sufficient for a podcast, should it not? Also, could you maybe downmix it to mono to save some space, or is it already there.
Other than Variable Bit-Rate I'm not sure there's much else you can do with the file to cram it into that 30meg limit. How long is your podcast?

nope the only way a ps3 disc will work is if I go to PlayStation home, DVDs Blue ray disc work fine and load without having to do all of this its just the games that wont read unless I go to the play station home
That's strange. The only thing I can think to explain it is your firmware somehow got corrupted some place. If I were you, I would back up all my game data that I want to keep on a flash drive, then do a system backup on a separate flash drive (in case anything goes wrong), and then do a hard reset to factory condition. See if that fixes it.
Here's a link to help walk you through:

YLOD one week later...anyone know anyplace better then these guys...www.ps-pros.com
or had work done from them...I would do it myself but I heard it can be a temp thing (and i dont wanna fix it erry 3 months) so ill get there extended warranty...
I'm having a problem with my PS3. I've just recently bought WWE '12 and I've gotten a good amount of the game done already. However, in the Rode to Wrestlemania mode, I keep getting a screen that says "please wait". Yesterday, I went to sleep thinking by the time I woke up, the screen would be gone. It wasn't. The PS3 black screen that says "please wait..." keeps popping back up at the exact same spot in the game. It doesn't mess up on any other game in my collection. I keep my PS3 clean. Any help would be great.
Sounds like the problem is either with the game, or possibly your disc. If you haven't had the game long, I'd take it back and exchange it. Usually you can exchange opened games, you just can't return them. And since all of your data is saved on the PS3, all you have to do is put in the game and you should be right back to where you were.
If the problem still exists, then it is either a bug in the game, or you have a corrupted save file. But I'd start with the disc.
And I'm positive, if everything you say is true, it's not the PS3.
I FINALLY got a chance to exchange the game, however, it still freezes at the exact same moment in the game. By now, I know it's probably the PS3. Could it be memory? I really don't want to hear the words "buy a new one". Any ideas on whats going on?
I'm not real familiar with firewire cards, but it sounds like you got a bad one. I'd exchange it and see if you still have the problem.I bought myself a new PC over the summer for the sole use of editing videos. As it didn't come with a firewire slot I ordered and installed one in the PC tower. There are only 2 slots that the card's "teeth/chips" (not sure what the right term is) will go into. I've tried it in both slots but I'm still having problems;
When* the PC does pick up the firewire cable connected to the camera, the footage has 4 or 5 blocks of smaller multi-coloured blocks covering chunks of the footage. I've checked with a few different tapes so I believe it's either the card or the cable.
* - The PC will usually just detect the camera upon start-up but if I do anything with the camera/cable it doesn't see it.
It could just be that I need to get another card, but wanted to know if anyone's had similar problems with this or any advice etc. Would be much appreciated!

The only other thing I could think of is if your machine doesn't have a strong enough power supply to handle the additional card. I've seen it happen when there are a lot of USB devices plugged into a computer, so it's possible the same goes for your firewire.
I'd start with replacing the card though.
Okay I am having a problem downloading adobe flash. I don't care what version it is I just want to download the bastard. Whenever I get to the download bit I go run over save beacuse that's what is suggested. Then whe it is downloading it will stop at about 47% for a few seconds then go to 51% and say "error close internet explorer" then when I do that it just says "error, cannot continue" or something along the lines of that. How can I stop this?
My laptop has started to take a really long time to shut down/boot up. Shutting down can take 5 minutes sometimes. Any ideas why? Any fixes?
What operating system? Windows XP, Vista, 7 or something else. It matters.
Vista. I should also point out it's the laptop I use to make graphics, so CS4 is a memory-drain.
What's the game? I'll need to do a little research before I can offer solutions.I have an older computer game that I downloaded onto my laptop recently. The game will work up until the point where I leave the main and setup menus and try to play the game, then it shuts off and returns me to my desktop menu. I've cleaned the disk and it is not visibly scratched. My computer is a Vista. I'm not good at troubleshooting these type of things.
Thanks.

Wow, both of those were released without Windows XP support. It's very possible they will not run on your machine. However, here's what I would try first. I do not have Vista, so I'm hoping all of these options will be available.Actually there were two games that I tried with the same results. One was Nascar Racing 2002, and the other was Nascar Racing 3. Both made by Sierra Sports company.

1) Right click on the icon.
2) Select Properties
3) Click on the "Compatibility" tab
4) Check "Run this program in compatibility mode" and select with Windows 98/ME
That might be all you need. However, if that still doesn't work.
5) Go back into the Compatibility tab. Under settings, choose to run it in 256 colors.
If that still doesn't work...
6) Go back into the Compatibility tab. Under settings, choose to run in 640x480 resolution.
Try those things first, for both games. Let me know if they work or not.
